Joint RP - Indumauli and Neveah Indumauli and Neveah Indumauli Curled on the couch and staring absently at the clock, Indumauli allowed his mind to fall into a rare state of suspended thought. The wolf's ears tweaked on occasion and his tail flicked from side to side. His icy eyes followed the clockwise rotation, and the canine could feel himself slowly becoming tired of this whole lousy predicament of having nothing to do.Neveah And who should walk in just then but Neveah, wearing a purple chinese dress with gold dragons embroidered down the sides. The butterfly boy blinked when he noticed the wolf just sitting there then he smiled and walked over to the couch, tapping on Indu's shoulder with one of his long fingers. "Heya Wolfman. Haven't seen you in awhile." Indumauli Indumauli's ears twitched at the words and he turned his gaze slowly to Neveah. "Oh... Butter-Ball, I didn't expect to see you standing around in... purple..." he grinned at the butterflies outfit, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. "Suppose it suits you, and thank god you showed up when you did... I think boredom was planning on murdering me..." his tail flicked slightly to the left after the words were spoke clearly and calmly.
The wolf sighed in deeply. "So... what would you be up to, my dear insect...?" he moved into a different position that was a little less comfortable, but did provide a seat for Neveah if the butterfly did make the decision that he wished to sit. Neveah Nev chuckled lightly and smoothed the front of his outfit. "Elros dressed me in it this morning. I suppose purple does look pretty good on me but I would've so much preferred a sea green. Something like your eyes." The butterfly boy smiled then, instead of taking a seat next to Indu, he perched on the arm of the couch, legs crossed at the ankle. "You can move back to where you were. I wouldn't want to be a bother. As for what I'm up to: well, not much of anything. I'm bored too. That's why I came here." Indumauli He was a bit surprised by the eye comment, the color of his eyes were never much a thing of admiration… they normally seemed like they scared others, like they could freeze anyone in their place at a simple glare. It amazed him that someone as lovely as the butterfly could say such a thing about his eyes… then again, Neveah did have a sort of… well… strange sense of taste…?
"Ah, glad to see this place provides entertainment for you when you're bored. It does the exact opposite for me..." the wolf's tail curled slightly. "I've already moved... not really worth it to get into the same position I was just in..." Neveah "Are you feeling alright, Indu? You look as if you've had a bit of a shock," Nev commented solicitously, leaning over to look at the wolf's face. Then he shrugged it off, chuckling at what the other hybrid said instead. "This place doesn't really provide the entertainment. The hybrids I meet here do but, since you're the only other hybrid I've met I guess that must mean you entertain me. And since you already went to the trouble of moving, I suppose I'll sit down next to you," he said with a roll of his eyes, letting himself slide off the arm of the couch and land on the cushion with a soft "Oomf." Indumauli Indumauli's eyes watched as Neveah slid down onto the area of the couch that was next to him. The wolf snickered quietly, running a hand over the butterfly's head. "I provide entertainment, Butter-Ball...? I don't see how, considering that I am never really doing anything but laying down lazily on a sofa." he grinned at the butterfly hybrid. Neveah Nev shut his eyes for a second and enjoyed the pet then cracked them open and focused on Indumauli. Grinning at the wolf, he shrugged and answered, "It's a mystery to me, too. But I don't feel like questioning it. I'd hate to find out that you're actually not all that entertaining. Believe it or not, Wolfman, I'm rather fond of you." ^^ Indumauli Indumauli snickered slightly. "It is rather hard to believe... though I can't say too much, I haven't seen your reaction to other hybrids..." he ran his hand down the side of the butterfly's head, stopping at the chin and smiling sweetly. "I don't think I have ever much ran into someone quite like you, Neveah."
The wolf wasn't completely sure whether or not the butterfly was fond of him, no matter what the lovely hybrid told him... if he had not seen Neveah's reaction around others, how was he to know whether he was hated or liked...? Neveah "I don't see why it should be so hard to believe but if you don't that's your problem," Nev remarked, tilting his head slightly and leaning it against Indu's hand, smiling warmly at the other hybrid. "And as for that bit about never having met anyone quite like me: should I take that as a compliment?" Indumauli The wolf tilted his head slightly at the words... his problem...? He grinned, the other hybrid was most likely right. After hearing the butterfly's question, Indumauli snickered quietly. "Yes... this of course being if you think I'm fond of you..." he smiled and ran a finger under the other male's chin. Neveah "Well, I can't say for sure whether you're fond of me or not so I don't know how I should take that statement," the butterfly boy said, a light pink tinge coming to his dark cheeks as Indu's fingertip brushed against his skin. "Maybe if you gave me a hint as to what you're feelings might be..?" Indumauli "A hint...?" Indumauli questioned, raising a well-formed eyebrow at Neveah. "I normally don't give hints... but for you, I may make an exception..." he leaned in, pecking a small kiss on the side of the butterfly's neck. "Is that hint enough...?" he spoke into the other hybrid's shoulder, pulling himself away quietly. Neveah The flush marring Nev's cheeks crept down to his neck and he felt goosebumps rise along his arms. "I dunno," he stammered. "You could just be teasing me. I think I might need another hint.." Indumauli Indumauli snickered. "Another one...? My my... now where exactly would you want to be kissed this time...?" he raised an eyebrow at the butterfly with amusement. He had to admit, if he was bored before... then the lovely hybrid coming along must have been lucky, because now he was as entertained as he had hoped he could ever be. Neveah The wolf's snicker made Nev's blush flare but he forced himself to maintain eye contact with the other hybrid. Who knew there was someone out there who could turn Neveah into a stuttering fangirl? "Umm... I don't know," he answered shyly. "You decide.." Indumauli "You may not want me to decide..." Indumauli payed attention to the blush and decided that a simple place may be the best choice, he slowly kissed the butterfly's cheek. "There..." he whispered. "Is that hint good enough...?" Neveah Suddenly, Nev realized there had been a specific place he had wanted Indu to kiss him but, too embarrassed to ask for another hint, he just nodded then looked down at his hands, fiddling with the purple silk of his dress. Indumauli Indumauli blinked at Neveah, raising a well-formed eyebrow. "What's wrong with you...?" he questioned quietly. "You looked a little uncomfortable before the kiss.... now you look..." he couldn't much think of the words. Even more uncomfortable...? Neveah "Huh? Oh. Nothing, I'm ok," he reassured Indumauli, glancing at the wolf and smiling slightly. "I..I dunno. I just feel really shy all of a sudden which is something that's never happened before. Anyway, there's nothing to worry about," he said a little too insistently, bringing up his hands and waving them as if to fend off the other hybrid. Indumauli Indumauli blinked for a short moment at Neveah. "If you say so Mr. Insistant..." the wolf whispered, letting out a small sigh. Neveah The butterfly boy frowned slightly, shifting so he was sitting sideways on the couch, facing Indu. "First, oddly enough, I prefer you call me Butter-Ball. Second, and I really don't know why I'm going to tell you this but: I really do like you alot. I'd even go so far as to say I have a bit of a crush on you..." he trailed off lamely but then picked up again, looking at the wolf's pretty eyes. "And...and remember how you asked me earlier where I'd like to be kissed? Well, I thought of a place." Blushing scarlet, he pointed to his lips. Indumauli Indumauli froze still at the last words, letting all the other ones seep out of his brain as he leaned forward and kissed the other male's lips. "There..." he whispered. "You've been kissed in the place where you wanted to be kissed..." he grinned, "Butter-Ball" he decided to finish the sentence with the 'oddly enough; nickname. "... Now... as for going so far as to say you have a crush on me, I would have to say that going that far is sweet, but predictable..." he ran a hand down the butterfly's head. "Thank the gods that you're predictable..." he finished tiredly. Neveah Nev was a bit caught off guard when Indu suddenly kissed him but he recovered quickly enough to have some time to close his eyes and enjoy the kiss. When it ended, his eyes flickered open and he smiled slightly at the pet name. The next sentence, though, threw him off again. 'Sweet, but predictable...' Somehow that didn't sound very good. Trying to keep his smile in place, he didn't bother to ask about that last bit. Instead, he said, "I'm sorry but I have to go. Maybe I'll run into you again sometime." Indumauli "Possibly..." Indumauli replied, flipping the television on and glancing at Neveah. "I'll see you around..." he whispered, using the remote to go through channels and possibly see what was on. Neveah Nev sat there for a second, a frown marring his pretty face. Then he slowly got to his feet without another word and headed for the door, making himself walk slowly instead of running out like he wanted to. Idiot. Why'd you tell him that? He doesn't care. He probably doesn't even like you that much. Sniffling, he pushed down those thoughts, knowing he'd probably start to cry if he let them continue. Indumauli Indumauli's ears tweaked slightly with the sound of a sniffle, and the male frowned, getting to his feet. His eyes followed the slow pace of Neveah's feet, and the canine's tail fell down slightly as his ears flattened against his head. "What's wrong with you...?" he sighed, turning the television off almost instantly. Neveah Nev stopped in his tracks and put on what he hoped was a genuine looking smile then turned around to face Indu. "Nothing's wrong. Why do you ask?" Indumauli "Because you sniffled... and either that's a sign that you have a cold, or you're getting ready to cry... both of which pose as a small problem." The wolf raised an eyebrow at Neveah when his answer was voiced, confused at why the other male had chosen to be so silent now... Neveah "I don't see how either of those things would concern you," Nev told Indu levelly, his smile replaced by a look of puzzlement. "I said nothing was wrong so you can go back to watching tv. There might be something good on." The butterfly boy put on that smile again then waved at the wolf and turned away. Indumauli His hand gently seized Neveah's hair, and the canine pulled the other male's body back to a position of facing him. "Why are you turning your back on me...?" he questioned with a serious expression, raising a well-formed eyebrow at the butterfly. The wolf had to admit to himself, he did have a lot of downsides… Neveah deserved a chance to leave. "I realize that I can be and idiot, and demanding, and a bit of a player at times... but please bear with me...?" he questioned his eyes softening on the butterfly as he let the other's lovely hair slide out of his hands. The canine-like male took a seat on the floor quietly and frowned, placing his hand to his head... this predicament was not turning out all to well. Neveah Nev had just started to move toward the exit when Indu took hold of his hair and the butterfly boy blinked when he came to an abrupt halt and was pulled around to face the wolf again. When Indumauli stopped speaking, Nev opened his mouth to reply but the words died on his lips when he saw how the other hybrid's pretty eyes softened. Looking down at the frowning wolf sitting on the floor, Neveah let out a soft sigh and sank down next to him. "I turned around because I didn't believe there was anything else to be said. Now my turn to ask a question: Why should I bear with you?" Those were the same things he had meant to say before but he delivered them in a much softer, kinder tone than he had been intending to use. Indumauli Indumauli's eyes were closed, and he slowly listened to the question of the other. Glancing at the butterfly, the wolf voiced quietly. "That's just it... I'm not completely sure why you might want to bear with me... I have no good qualities, whatsoever..." he frowned, mind thinking back to a certain time he hated. "I can't protect anyone, even when I get a chance... but I want you to bear with me, unlike him..." the wolf shivered slightly. "But he didn't get the chance to-" the canine stopped himself before he went any further. Neveah Neveah had no idea what it was that Indu was thinking back on nor any desire to find out. If the wolf wanted to tell him, he would. Leaving it alone, the butterfly boy wrapped a comforting arm around Indumauli's shoulders and squeezed gently, turning slightly so he was facing the wolf. "So you want me to bear with you, hmm? Why is that?" Nev asked, genuinely curious. He resisted the urge to raise his free hand and comb the wolf's hair back with his fingers, fidgeting with one of the buttons on his dress instead. Indumauli "..." the wolf remained quiet, frowning in slight confusion. "When you think about it... I have a lot of bad qualities... don't I...? I want you to bear with me... because..." he allowed his mind to drift into bewildered thought while his ears tweaked uncertainly, wondering whether or not he was angry, or scared. Why did he want the butterfly to bear with him...? It made no sense to the canine... Neveah Nev watched Indu in silence, only speaking when it became apparent that the wolf wasn't going to answer any time soon. Abandoning that subject, he gently tapped Indu on the shoulder to get his attention and said, "You have a couple bad qualities, sure, but everybody does. I'm sure you have plenty of good qualities, though, too." Indumauli Indumauli's eyes widened slightly at the words and the wolf snickered. "You think so, huh...? This... my dear, would be where you're wrong..." he felt sick to his stomach suddenly. "I doubt I have any good qualities... whether you think so or not..." Neveah Neveah didn't think that was true but he held his silence, heaving a sigh as he let go of the wolf and got to his feet. "I really gotta go, now. Bye Indu.." Indumauli He remained quiet, eyes flicking towards the clock as he slowly spoke. "Alright. My apologies for even making the attempt to stop you in the first place..." the wolf blinked to himself quietly and spun into a more comfortable position on the floor. He had no idea what to do, so decided that whatever the butterfly wanted was the best decision. Neveah Frustrated and upset again, Nev didn't say anything to Indu. Just gave him a slightly frosty look then turned and walked out, muttering darkly--if a bit tearfully--to himself the whole way about how "he didn't need this crap". As soon as he was outside, though, he didn't start for home. Instead, he leaned again the building and shut his eyes then slowly sank to the ground, his knees drawn up to his chest. Indumauli Indumauli's icy eyes examined the couch as he got to his feet, the male stared at the area for a short moment before growling to himself. "This isn't...." he began in a mutter, ears twitching with slight bewilderment. Neveah Neveah hadn't moved an inch. In fact, the only part of his body that even twitched were his eyelids, his thick lashes fanning out around his eyes as he opened them and looked up, exasperated with himself, Indu and everyone else.

Joint RP - Indumauli and Neveah Indumauli and Neveah Indumauli Indumauli ran his index finger over the oakwood table, frowning slightly when a piece of the lovely creation was drawn under his fingernail, he picked the sliver it out thoughtlessly, and sighed in deeply. Why did he always seem to be bored...? It just... didn't happen to make any sense... he was surrounded by things that could most likely provide some source of entertainment, but he never really did try and use them to his advantage.
"It was some idiot a long time ago that came up with the idea that boredom could kill a person... but I doubt that such a death exists... or I would be gone by now, leaving behind a lifeless corpse..." it was strange to talk to himself, but it soothed him slightly to know that there was someone he could talk to... even if it did seem crazy. He shook the thought of such comfort. "Snap out of it, Indu... talking to yourself is... dumb..." and he had done it again, the male lied back on the couch. "Apparently I'm as idiotic as they come..." he whispered to himself. Neveah Neveah combed his elongated fingers through his bangs as he stepped inside then he immediately froze as his eyes fell on Indumauli. Why is it, everytime I come here, he's here? the butterfly boy wondered, glancing over his shoulder at the door. [iMaybe I should leave before he notices me. Indumauli Indumauli's ears tweaked slightly and his eyes flicked over to where Neveah stood. He frowned slightly and moved his attention to the couch he was laying on. He was... tired and bored, and didn't much feel like doing anything that might embarrass the other hybrid, he didn't even feel that saying hello seemed appropriate after the last encounter that they shared. Neveah Nev felt the wolf glance at him and winced, expecting to hear Indu's voice. But nothing came. Hesitantly, he peeked at the other hybrid just in time to see him frown and look away. The butterfly boy felt his insides shrivel and sighed. "Sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you," he mumbled, then turned away. "I'll see myself out.." Indumauli "No..." Indumauli whispered. "You came here wanting to do something, so do it... if you'd prefer to be alone when you do whatever it is, I'll leave..." his eyes looked at Neveah quietly and he slowly placed his head on his left arm, letting out a small sigh. Neveah "I didn't have anything in mind when I came in here. And, since you didn't seem too happy to see me, I figured it'd be for the best if I just left," Nev explained, still facing the doorway. Why did that damn wolf have to tie the butterfly's feelings into knots? Indumauli Indumauli glanced behind his shoulder at the butterfly, raising a well-formed eyebrow. "Didn't seem happy to see you...? Please Neveah... I'm not so sure I'm ever happy to see anyone, don't take it personally if I just glance at you at then look away..." he sighed in deeply. Why hadn't he said Butter-Ball, instead of the actual name...? Normally that was what it came to... "I got the first, 'Why is he here...?' glance... I just returned it..."
'An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind...' he thought to himself quietly, he shivered almost instantly. Neveah Nev noticed the use of his full name and frowned, glancing at Indu over his shoulder. Why did that bother him? Inwardly shrugging it off, he sighed and turned back to the doorway. Without another word, he walked out and took a deep breath of fresh hair. Some stupid little romantic portion of his brain hoped Indumauli would follow but the rest knew better. "What the hell, Nev?" he muttered, angry. "Why are you so bloody hung up on him? It's obvious he doesn't feel anything for you. Move on you great big moron!" Indumauli "You talk to yourself too...?" Indumauli questioned from the threshold of the doorway. His hand were crossed quietly over his chest and he sighed in deeply. The wolf felt tired for some reason. Neveah Nev shrieked and jumped 3 feet straight up into the air, his hair fluffing out like a startled cat's fur. When he came back down to earth, he whirled on Indu and pointed at the wolf with one of his elongated fingers. "You scared the hell out of me! And what business of yours is it if I talk to myself too or not?" he muttered, somewhat sullenly when he started to calm down. He was embarrassed he had been caught. Indumauli Indumauli raised an eyebrow. "Did I really...?" the canine cackled quietly. "And I didn't even try... I don't quite believe I have ever seen you this jumpy..." he sighed in deeply. 'Maybe I haven't seen him enough...' he thought to himself. Neveah "Yes, you did. And I've never been this jumpy before ever so take it all in while you can, Wolf-Man 'cause it's not likely to happen again," he said, unconsciously using Indu's nickname. He was still feeling sullen but beginning to recover, despite his best efforts to stay annoyed. Indumauli Indumauli tilted his head slightly. "...? What...?" he questioned, dumbfounded by the nickname. He remembered it... but for some reason, hearing it seemed so completely... strange. Neveah "Huh?" Nev asked, forgetting to sound sullen. He turned to look at Indu fully and blinked his lavendar eyes once or twice, absently smoothing his hair. "What do you mean 'what'?" Indumauli "...?" Indumauli blinked with confusion at Neveah. "Nevermind..." he whispered tiredly. "It's nothing." he sighed in deeply. "I guess I just didn't expect something you said, that's all..." Neveah Curious, Nev moved closer to Indu and began to question the wolf. "What did I say that you didn't expect? Was it the part about having never been that jumpy before? Or was it the bit about how you really did scare me? Or was it something else?" Indumauli "It was nothing..." Indumauli sighed. "And why are you asking... so many questions...?" he blinked for a short moment at the other male, running a hand over Neveah's head. Questions were rather annoying to him if he didn't feel he could answer. Neveah Nev tried not to smile at the contact, tilting his head ever-so-slightly. "Er..I don't know. Was just curious, I guess..." the butterfly answered, reaching up and fidgeting with one of his antennae. "Sorry?" Indumauli "Don't apologize..." Indumauli sighed quietly. "It's a stupid reason to say your sorry..." he had to admit... he wasn't used to getting apologized to... it was rather strange... it was even a bit stranger for the fact that Neveah had said it. Neveah Neveah raised one thin eyebrow then shrugged and said, "O..k.. Do you wanna head back inside or maybe go for that walk we never did get around to?" he asked, letting his hand drop. He hoped the wolf would opt for the walk. He didn't really want to just sit on the couch and watch tv or something. Indumauli "... That walk sounds fine..." Indumauli sighed, running a hand through his hair and stepping out of the doorway. He hated the streets... but that didn't much matter at this time. Neveah Nev smiled slightly when Indu agreed. He hadn't expected him to. "Any particular direction you'd like to go?" he prompted, clasping his hands behind his back and moving to stand next to the wolf. Indumauli "... No..." he whispered, sighing in deeply. "No specific location really..." he ran a hand through his white and golden hair. "You pick..." Neveah "Alright.." Neveah looked left and then right, weighing the options. "Hmm.. I think we should go this way," the butterfly boy said after a moment, pointing to the left. Indumauli Indumauli sighed. "Alright then, lets go that way..." he whispered, walking in the pointed direction. He was tired of the uncomfortable feeling he had gotten earlier, the wolf looked at Neveah and laughed. "You know something... I bet you could knock someone over with those fingers of yours... how much you wanna bet they would be fun in bed...?" he teased. Neveah Nev's face colored but he quipped right back, "Would ya like to find out? It could be arranged." He smirked at the wolf and gave him an exaggerated wink. Funny thing was, under the guise of a joke, he was really serious. Indumauli Indumauli snickered. "Oh, it could be arranged, could it...? How very generous of you to give up so much fine just to ease my curiousity..." the canine-like male stepped around a corner, sighing in deeply. He had no idea what to do at the moment... talking to Neveah seemed oftly appropriate, but after their last encounter... it was weird to speak through lips that were so even. Neveah "Yes, yes. I'm quite the saint, aren't I?" Neveah asked, grinning at the wolf. His ears twitched at the sigh but he decided not to pay it any attention. Unlike Indu, he wasn't dwelling on their last meeting. Instead, he was focusing on much he was enjoying spending time with the wolf hybrid right then, at that moment. Indumauli Indu stopped his forward movement, staring quietly at Neveah. The wolf then continued after deciding that whatever had happened couldn't be altered... no matter how much he wanted to change it. He frowned to himself and trailed a short way behind the butterfly. "Don't overdo it Neveah... even if I do like the ones who are a bit full of themselves..." he snickered quietly. Neveah The butterfly boy slowed his pace when he noticed Indu had fallen behind. "So sorry. I'll try to keep myself in check," he responded, turning around to walk backwards for a little while so he could smile at Indumauli. "Why are you way back there?" Indumauli "Huh...?" Indumauli blinked at Neveah's question... why was he back here...? He didn't even know... so he came up with a response that sounded more Induish. "...Because you look better from behind..." he cackled. Neveah Nev rolled his eyes and laughed softly himself. "Oh, I see. Would you like me to turn back around? Perhaps sway a little while I walk?" he asked, amusement tinging his voice Indumauli Indumauli smirked. "Now wouldn't that be... splendiforous..." he had no idea what other word to use, it was only after he had spoken, that he decided 'wondrous' would have been good. Neveah "'Splendiforous'?" Neveah questioned, covering his mouth in an attempt to smother his giggles. When he had recovered sufficiently, he turned around to face forward again and did exactly as he had suggested, walking like a supermodel on a runway, his hips swaying from side to side. "Enjoying the view?" Indumauli Indumauli laughed at Neveah's action, walking faster than the other and wrapping his arms around the butterfly's waist from behind. "It's 'splendiforous'..." he joked, letting go of the other male and walking on forward, he stopped when he was a few feet ahead Neveah and turned back to buttefly, waiting for him to catch up. Neveah Nev let out a little squeak when he felt Indu's arms wrap around his middle, his face turning a delicate shade of pink. When the wolf let him go, he frowned at the loss of contact, working hard to wipe the expression from his face but not before Indu had turned around and had a chance to see it. Coloring darker, he sped up a little, moving to catch up to the other hybrid. Indumauli Indumauli smiled quietly at Neveah, snatching the other gently by his hair. "So... where do you want to go...? Or do you just want to walk around in circles around the town...?" he questioned, lowering his hand from the other's head. Neveah The butterfly boy was a little caught of guard and his violet eyes opened up wide, looking directly into Indumauli's seafoam green ones. "Er...well...I don't particularly know.. I just wanted to go for a walk with you. It didn't really matter where.." he answered, a bit sheepish. Indumauli Indumauli blinked at Neveah, tilting his head. "Alright..." he sighed. "A walk is a walk I suppose, going in circles or to Mexico suddenly doesn't seem to matter..." it did matter to him, actually... he didn't want to head somewhere where they might both regret... Indu had to admit, he did get in a rather bad mood when it came to cops... even just seeing them on the streets made him jumpy or rude. Neveah Neveah frowned slightly and quailed a little bit. "We can head back, if you want to," he suggested, rather meekly. Now he was thinking of their last encounter and he fervently hoped this time wouldn't turn out like that so he was willing to let the wolf take the lead. Indumauli Indumauli stared with confusion at Neveah. "A walk is a walk, Neveah... it's not going to kill me to stomp around with a friend who sways their cute little butt all day long..." he snickered. "Don't worry about anything and do what you came to do..." he contined on stepping. "Walk..." Neveah Nev complied, remaining silent for a good long time before he asked the wolf quietly, "Why do you keep calling me by my name instead of Butter-Ball?" Indumauli Indumauli blinked at Neveah with pure confusion. "... What...?" he was confused... no idea. "..." he had nothing to say to that... he didn't know what, it just came out that way... his actual name, rather than the nickname. Neveah "Nevermind," Nev answered, looking straight ahead. "It's..It's not important. I was just wondering," he said, finally turning to give Indu a faint smile. Indumauli Indumauli nodded his head quietly. "Alright..." he whispered. Neveah Good going, idiot. Now things're awkward again Nev thought heatedly, berating himself fiercely. Heaving a sigh, he looked around, wondering where to go for here. When no ideas came to mind, the butterfly boy decided that now would be as good a time as any to head back to where they had started. "C'mon. Let's go back, now," he said, turning around. Indumauli "... No." Indumauli blinked at Neveah, running a hand over the other's head. "You said a walk... going back may be put in the category of walking... but it doesn't seem quite as entertaining as if you stop at a place for lunch or something." he sighed in deeply. "If you want to head back, be my guest... even if the only reason I came out here was because of you..." so he hated stating it, but he said it... loud in clear. Neveah "You didn't have to come with me. You didn't have to follow me out of the hq, either," Nev told him, coming to a stop nonetheless. "And, unless you have some money and are willing to treat me, we can't stop anywhere to eat or anything like that." Indumauli Indumauli glanced at Neveah. "You don't have money...?" he snickered. "I will treat then, I suppose..." the wolf sighed in deeply. "Besides... I came with you because I felt like it... I suppose... so maybe I shouldn't blame you for dragging me out here..." the wolf looked tiredly at the butterfly. Neveah "I didn't think I'd need any money," Neveah pouted, folding his arms across his chest sullenly. Why did the wolf have to keep saying 'he supposed'? "And of course you shouldn't blame me for "dragging" you out here. You followed me outside of your own volition. And I asked if you wanted to go for a walk with me. You could have said no. It wasn't like I put a gun to your head." Indumauli Indumauli sighed at Neveah. "I second thought... I'm not that completely hungry..." he whispered after the other's statement. "Here..." he passed the butterfly some money. "If you're hungry... get something to eat..." the canine was not planning on getting into some strange fight with the other hybrid.
He took a step away from the other male, and then headed off in the direction of a familiar part of the city... sure... he hated it there, but Neveah seemed a bit uncomfortable and unhappy around the wolf. Neveah Nev blinked at the money in his hand then glanced up at Indu's retreating figure. Frowning deeply, he caught up to the wolf and pressed the money back into his hands. "Keep it. I'm going home," he said, head down. Then he turned and ran off back the way they had come, forgetting that he could have just flown. Indumauli Indumauli watched Neveah quietly when the money was given to him, glancing at the nearest homeless man. "Here..." he whispered, tossing it into the the guy's dirty, gloved hands. He stared with confusion at the wolf-like hybrid and smiled. "Thank you young..." And he was after Neveah. "Sir...?"
"Stop you brat..." he growled from behind Neveah... this being the fifth time he had told the butterfly to quit his movement. He quickly snatched the other hybrid's hand, panting slightly. "What the crap is wrong with you!?" Neveah Nev hadn't expected the other hybrid to come after him, so it was a bit of a surprise when he jerked to a halt, his hand held securely in Indu's. "What do you care?!" Neveah shouted back, trying to wrench it free. Indumauli Indumauli glared at Neveah. "Why the hell wouldn't I care!?" he snapped, the wolf then froze, letting go of the other's struggling hand. "Unless you think I have no... feeling at..." he couldn't move at all, couldn't even finish the sentance... and figured in this time, Neveah could make an appropriate escape... that way at least the butterfly was happy. Neveah The butterfly boy nearly fell when his hand was abruptly released but he recovered quickly enough. Instead of running off again, though, he just stood there, looking down at his feet, his left arm stretched over his chest and his hand gripping his right arm. "You didn't care when I told you I had a crush on you. Why should you care what's on my mind now?" he asked heatedly and when he looked up at Indu there were tears in his eyes. Indumauli Indumauli narrowed his icy eyes at Neveah. "... You're spoiled." he whispered. "Just because you admit you have a 'crush' doesn't mean that I know my feelings right away... do you understand...? Who are you to tell me that I didn't care when you expressed how you felt... and whose to say that I shouldn't care now? But if you want to turn around and run away... please... be my guest... there's nothing I can do, it seems... leaving you alone just makes you angry with me... yet staying with you makes you uncomfortable and awkward, which makes you irritated... I can do nothing good for you, Neveah... maybe that's why when you admitted your crush, I didn't return the feeling to you... I seem to cause nothing but trouble to those who get anywhere near close to me..." he couldn't allow trouble to the butterfly. Neveah Neveah blinked but didn't try to discount what the wolf was saying. In fact, he paid close attention, something he had never done before. When Indu finished, the butterfly looked down at his feet again and said, "I'm sorry. You're right. I am spoiled. And..and I don't have the right to tell you that you didn't care then or that you shouldn't care now.. B-but, I don't get angry when you leave me alone. It justs hurts my feelings. And the only reason I feel awkward around you is because it did seem like you didn't care when I told you how I felt and I was embarrassed..." Nev trailed off lamely, scuffing the ground with his foot. "Maybe it's better that you didn't return my feelings. I'm not worth all the trouble I cause. I'm really sorry Indu. For everything." A couple tears fell and splattered on the concrete then Neveah turned away from the wolf and started to walk away, his entire body drooping. Indumauli Indumauli watched Neveah, figuring that going after the hybrid would just cause more trouble... so he let him go, and got to his feet. "It's possible that returning to the sanctuary anytime soon would be the most idiotic thing I have ever done... I might as well camp out elsewhere..." the wolf walked in the opposite direction of the sanctuary, figuring that the streets might be better... he had no idea if he would ever even return back to the other hybrids... a disappearance-never-coming-back seemed appropriate. He had no idea what else to do... Neveah Nev didn't get very far before he stopped and looked over his shoulder at Indu. He half-turned and held up a hand, calling out to the wolf, "Hey, Indu? Wait a second.." He jogged back to the other hybrid and, going red in the face, asked quietly, "Will you walk me back? You..you don't have to of course b-but I'd like it if you would. I mean, you can just say no, i-if you want to. I won't bother you any further." By this time, his voice was getting a little squeaky and a bit breathless and his words were running together. He hoped to God the wolf would say something just to shut him up. Indumauli He turned quietly to stare at Neveah, kissing the butterfly's forehead. "I won't walk you back... because I'm not going back..." he ran a hand down the buttefly's face and sighed in deeply. "Have that homeless man over there walk you... I think I paid him enough..." he whispered, pointing to the earlier hoboe. Neveah Nev shook his head violently then wrapped his arms tight around Indumauli's middle, determined to keep him there. "Please don't leave. Stay. You don't have to talk to me ever again if you don't want or even look at me. Just please stay. I don't want you to leave. I love you. I do..." He couldn't be heard clearly after that, his voice too thick with tears. Not to mention he had his face pressed against the wolf's chest. Indumauli Indumauli's eyes widened as he hugged the butterfly back, he slowly pushed Neveah away. "... Thank you..." he whispered quietly into the other's forehead as he handed Neveah's hand to the homeless man of which he spoke of. "Lead this butterfly-boy home please..."
The man stared quietly at Indumauli and nodded his head. "Alright kid..." he whispered quietly. "But..." the wolf turned his back.
"Don't let him go until I'm out of view, understood...?"
"Understood sir..." the homeless man watched as Indu left, blinking at Neveah. "What was that about kid...?" he hiccuped, letting the butterfly go now that he couldn't see the wolf anymore. Neveah Neveah stared disbelievingly as Indu faded into the distance, so shocked his tears abated for a moment. When he found his voice, he shouted, "Please don't go, Indumauli! Please don't go.." That last was barely even a whisper. Sinking to his knees, the butterfly put his face in his hands and started to cry again, fresh tears pouring down his face and dripping through his cupped hands. He had completely forgotten about the homeless man. When he finally picked himself up, he wandered back to the sanctuary and flopped onto one of the couches, curling up as small as he could make himself. He wished he hadn't acted the way he had. Maybe then, Indumauli wouldn't have left...

Joint RP - Indumauli and Nzame Indumauli and Nzame Nzame The soft pitter-patter of rain reminded the small hybrid just how much he hated his life. Anything was better than hiding in a dumpster full of people's old belongings, just to escape a storm.
It can't get much worse than this. He thought to himself, lifting a brown banana peel to his face, for examination. Not at all The small child curled himself into a ball to try and keep his small body warm and to see if his scarred knees would smell any better than rotting food and moldy diapers surrounding him.
They didn't! He was stuck inside this smelly garbage cage, listening as people passed complaining about how they were soaking wet as they headed home. At least they had a home to go to, good food, clean clothes, a warm bed. All he had was a weird smell and a banana peel. Indumauli Canine ears tweaked with interest as he approached the dumpster. "..." flipping the lid up thoughtlessly, Indumauli raised a well-formed eyebrow at the Hyena hybrid he found beneath the hard plastic covering. Oh, this brought back memories... he poked and prodded at the child just like the rain had at the lid of the dumpster. "Hey... you dead...?" he inquired quietly. Nzame The small boy turned in astonishment. Why the heck would someone look into a dumpster without a bag to throw into it first? He thought to himself. He looked at the man before him, there was no bag of garbage, nothing at all to throw away. It didn't click in Nzame's head and probably never would. "No! Go away!" He said tossing the browned peel into the hybrid's face.
He hadn't quite realized what he had just done until he had already finished. Ok so it's not the smartest thing I've ever done...but why not? He asked himself staring blankly at the wolf in front of him. Indumauli He blinked, dumbfounded as the peel slid down his face. "You seem..." he began with a small, annoyed grin. "...Fine... to... me..." he slammed the lid of the dumpster loudly on the hyena's head.
"Brat..." he snapped, pulling the plastic substance upwards again, he stared quietly at Nzame. "Why in goddesses name would you throw a banana peel of all things...? You need a better weapon, I understand people trip over these things all the time in cartoons, but... trust me kid, life doesn't work quite like that."
His ears twitched in irritation as he quietly pet the canine's head. "..." chances were that this kid was having the same hard street-life that the wolf had gone through himself. Nzame Nzame's hands instantly went to his throbbing head as soon as the dumpster was opened. As soon as he found there was no blood, he reached for any another piece of trash he could throw at the man to pay him back for the terrible headache. "There are quite a few diapers would you rather I..." He stopped in surprised as the man started to stoke his head. Nzame had never been so confused in his life...maybe it had to do with the plastic lid slamming on his head; either way he would rather be confused than alone any day.
The small hybrid raised his head to see the man's face. He had never seen anyone look so sad or smell so strongly of liquor in his life, which he found quite hard to believe but he couldn't think of anyone. Indumauli He removed the hand from the head. "Do I smell too much like a drunken fool to you...? My apologies, but I assure you, little Hyena, that I can walk in a straight line..." he sighed in deeply, lifting the child up out of the trashcan. "Let me take a guess on this one... you, have no home unless the streets count as a homely place...?" he sighed in deeply. "And you need a place to stay..."

Joint RP - Indumauli and Lake Indumauli and Lake Indumauli Indumauli braided his golden-white hair, eyes looking over a wooden table and stopping on a magazine with interest. He raised a well-formed eyebrow, wonder building up in him on what it might be. After a short moment the wolf poked at it with his foot. Lake Lake shuffled his way into the shop. Believe it or not, he'd come in here randomly, and had no idea what this shop was. He smiled, looking around curiously, then moved over to Indumauli, the only person he could see there, "Hello!" Indumauli Indumauli glanced at the other male slightly confused. "...?" he tilted his head before examining the hybrid over. The wolf's ears tweaked slightly. "Hi..." he whispered. Lake Lake plopped down and grinned at Indu, waving with his tail, "Hello mister. My name is Lake, nice to meet you!" he held out a hand, seeming rather proud of himself for greeting him properly. Indumauli His lips curved into a dangerous grin. "Indu..." the male spoke, icy eyes seemingly amused. He accepted the hand, pecking a small kiss on the back of it rather than shaking. He released the other male and leaned back into the couch. "Never seen someone quite like ya, Behemoth-Boy." Lake Lake peered at him closely, "What's a Behemoth, Indu?" he asked innocently, eyes narrowed and lips pursed in a curious manner. Indumauli Indu cackled, shaking his head quietly. He figured that telling the other what the word meant may not be the most appropriate choice of action... after all, it may be found a little offensive... he pet the dragon's head. "Nevermind, nevermind..." Lake Lake would've found it horribly amusing, considering how tiny he was. But he just wagged his tail and gave a hollow purr as his head was patted. "You've never seen anything like me?" Indumauli "Dragons aren't the easiest thing to come across...? Not sure, actually... but you're still the first one I've met..." he shrugged his shoulders quietly, removing his hand from the head and crossing the arm it was connected to over his chest. Lake "I've only ever met my family, so maybe it is hard," Lake said sadly, "I was hoping I'd meet another dragon..." Indumauli "I'm sure there are more than you around here, so quit wallowing." he whispered quietly, smiling at the other male. "..." the wolf sighed in deeply, tiredly shaking his head. "I happen to be dumb in the people department, Behem-" he blinked, shrugging his shoulders to himself. "... Lake." Lake Lake giggled and patted Indu on the head this time, "You're not dumb!" he chirped, then folded his hand in his lap, "And you're right! I'm just not looking in the right places." Indumauli Indumauli tilted his head slightly. "What's you urge to meet another dragon about, anyhow? Ya just wanna talk to someone who happens to be the same breed?" the wolf's ears went flat against his head at the patting he received against his skull. Lake Lake blushed, pressing his fingers together and shrugging, "It's silly...but I just wanna make sure there are others, y'know?" Indumauli One of his ears twitched. "..." the wolf hybrid sighed in deeply, petting the dragon's head quietly. "Don't worry about it, Behemoth-Boy... I understand..." he spoke the words in clear vocals through his lips. Lake Lake purred and wagged his tail, "You do? Because, I came here and I've been all lonely 'cause I have no house and family like I used to, and I just wanted to know that there was people I belong with," he smiled widely at Indu, tail-tip still flicking. Indumauli Indumauli's lips curved into a grin. "Oh...? Finding someone like that around here isn't that difficult I suppose..." he nodded his head cooly, running a finger down the other male's face and stopping at the chin. Lake Lake blinked, and blushed, smiling shyly and looking down, "Really?" That was good. He liked knowing people liked him and wanted him around. Indumauli His golden tail curved slightly as he removed his palm from the other male's face. "Yes... really." he declared his answer to the inquiry in an even voice, eyes looking over the dragon hybrid over quietly. Lake Lake kept his eyes down, rubbing his arm, his tiny smile remaining on his face, "Cool..." He giggled, playing with his shirt, and not at all sure what to say. Then he blinked and looked up, "Will other breeds like me too?" Indumauli "I'm sure they will..." he replied, running his fingers through the other male's hair. He raised a well-formed eyebrow at the ice dragon. "Besides, the only people who I could imagine hating you is an... emo... and that's because you're peppy."
He cackled, shaking his head silently. "Don't worry about anyone not liking you..." Lake Lake smiled wider, tilting his head into the hand, looking gleeful. What was an 'e-mo'? He nodded happily, "I won't! Thanks, Indu." Indumauli His canine ears went flat against his head. "... Yeah..." Indu sighed, eyes closing tiredly. Normally he just did things like this to get into another hybrid's... oh... who knew, pants...? But he didn't feel like doing that to this certain dragon... sometimes other hybrids as well, maybe he had grown soft? God knew... Lake Lake blinked at Indu's ears and got onto his knees to peer at them, "Why did they do that?" he asked, running his finger over it. Indumauli "It's just a regular thing that happens when I feel uncomfortable or don't know what to say..." he replied, ear tweaking slightly when the ice dragon's smooth finger ran over it. He grasped the male's wrist gently, grinning at him before removing it from his ear and kissing the wrist gently.
He removed his lips from it almost immediatly after words, also executing the action to release the other's arm. Lake Lake turned a vibrant red, then folded his hands in his lap, "Oh...it's cute," he said, giggling. "What else do they do?" Indumauli "They... listen. They... are kept warm by fur...?" Truth was, he wasn't absolutely sure how to answer. "..." the wolf shrugged his shoulders. "Stuff that happens with ears..." he cackled quietly.

Joint RP - Indumauli and Neveah Indu and Nev Indumauli He could feel his head spinning as he held his breath, staring quietly at the bedroom door. Asherah had kicked the canine's a** into coming down and seeing Neveah, and he was a little worried about the reaction the butterfly might give when he saw the other male.
The wolf creaked the door open after a moment more of hesitation, icy eyes examining the room quietly. Neveah Right at that moment, Neveah was in his bathroom waiting for the water to get warm before he stepped into the shower. As a result, he didn't hear Indu enter his room... Indumauli The wolf sighed in deeply at the sound of the shower running. He stepped quietly into the bathroom, figuring that jumping in might not have the best affect. He filled a cup full of cold water, and threw it over the top of the shower, waiting for the response Neveah might give to the sudden cold sensation. Neveah "What the hell?!" Nev shrieked, pressing himself to the wall under the showerhead thinking it had been his shower that had suddenly turned cold. When he tested the water a few moments later, he found it to be just as warm as it had been when he first stepped in. Blinking, he shut the water off then pulled the shower curtain aside some and reached blindly for a towel. On its way, his hand came into contact with..something. Even more confused, the butterfly boy felt his way up what felt like a chest to someone's neck and then to that same person's face. He withdrew his hand slowly and then asked lightly, "Umm, who are you? And what are you doing in my bathroom?" Nev paused for a second then continued, "And could you me a favor and hand me a towel? They're right behind you." Indumauli He cackled. "You could get it yourself you know... I wouldn't mind..." he whispered, passing a towel to the other male tiredly. "Here, here... get yourself decent." the wolf's tail curled slightly as he waited to see whether or not his voice was recognizable to the butterfly hybrid. Neveah Nev knew who it was even before the wolf spoke. No one cackled quite like Indu. Stunned, Neveah took the towel and wrapped it around his waist then pulled aside the curtain and stepped out onto the towel he had laid on the floor, letting his wings drip dry. The butterfly boy looked a little worse for wear but Elros hadn't allowed him to sink into depression so he wasn't as gaunt as he would have been had she not intervened. "I thought you left," he said quietly, then slipped by Indu and went in search of clothing. Indumauli He leaned against the threshold of the door hesitantly. "Is that so...?" the wolf questioned, raising a well-formed eyebrow. "Well... you were accurate. But I found a little friend that I had to bring back here... so, I returned."
Nzame was an important character to Indu... the little hyena had been much to similar to him for comfort... and the wolf couldn't take leaving the kid out on the streets because he was selfish. "I'm here for that person I found right now, Nev..." he whispered quietly through even lips. "He's little and he needs someone..." Neveah "So why are you telling me this?" Neveah asked dully, trading the towel for a pair of flannel pajama bottoms. He was so caught up in shock and his own personal torment that he wasn't really following what Indu was saying. Nev hadn't thought it was possible to hurt this much. Sure, it had cut deep when the wolf had walked away but it hurt so much more to see him now and know that he was probably going to take off again at the first opportunity. Indumauli "To tell you the truth... I'm really not sure." he replied, closing his eyes as his tail shifted behind him in discomfort. "... Look, Nev..." the canine sighed in deeply. "I'm not trying to make you unhappy... even if it seems like I am." an ear tweaked quietly on his head. "I have to admit, on a normal basis... I'm not the type to care... but..." he was out of words... and out of breath.
Maybe he should quit smoking...? God knew...
The wolf stared with icy eyes at Neveah... though they weren't cold like they normally tended to be... rather, they were a bit softened. "I sometimes regret ever entering this shop in the first place..." he announced quietly, crossing his arms over his chest. The wolf cackled. "Sometimes I just make other's life's too... difficult." the last word came out a little later than it should have as Indu pictured Kiviance in his head, ears going flat. Neveah Nev finally turned to Indu and watched him, taking note of the wolf's flattened ears but choosing not to comment. "My life wasn't difficult until you walked out of it," he said softly, his eyes sparkling with unshed tears. "But you don't care, do you? You never did. I was a temporary distraction, someone you could amuse yourself with." His voice got quieter and quieter as he spoke until it was no more than a whisper. "But you know something? I didn't mind. I enjoyed having you around." The butterfly paused to sniffle and, without warning, the floodgates opened and silvery tears slid down his cheeks. "Why are you here, Indu? What do you want?" Indumauli "Well... I'd like for you not to cry." he replied, an ear tweaking slightly. The wolf sighed in quietly. "I do make it hard for people, huh...?" he grinned, obviously hiding a small bit of different emotion under the smile. "Whether I'm there or I leave, I suppose." the canine shrugged his shoulders.
Would it have been better if he was non-existant...? Easier for the other's around him...? That case certainly applied in this situation, and it also applied in the small dilema with Kiviance... but, what about with the new little hyena boy? Indumauli sighed.
"I'm here 'cause I have this feeling that I want you to be a bit happier Nev. I obviously have to let you go... being with you is not, and frankly should not, be my decision. Guess I wanted to talk to you personally." he turned his attention on the door. "But if I'm making you cry... I should probably go, huh...?" Neveah Before Indu could make a move to leave, Nev walked over and slipped his arms around the wolf's waist, holding onto him for a second. Then he took a step back and looked down at his feet, embarrassed. "I'm sorry," he said softly, eyes still a little moist and the occasional tear welling up and sliding down his smooth cheeks. "Please don't go yet. I'll try to stop crying, I swear.." Indumauli The wolf looked as though he didn't understand why the other male insisted he stay. Wasn't him standing here the exact thing that made the butterfly cry...? Nonetheless, he listened to Neveah's request, and kept his feet put.
Indu's ears flicked every now and then, his mouth closed shut... as though it was out of words to vocalize. He sighed in quietly... not completely sure as to what he should say. Neveah As if he knew what Indu was thinking, Nev sighed and started to explain. "I'm sorry. I missed you and when you showed up here, in my bathroom of all places.. I dunno, I just lost it. It's good to see you again..but, at the same time, I know you're gonna leave again and I got depressed.." The butterfly paused and swallowed. "Umm.. so how long are you planning on staying?" he asked awkwardly, leaning against a wall and crossing his arms over his chest. Indumauli The room was eerily quiet. Indumauli's ear twitched quietly at the question before he sighed rather loudly. The sound cut through the room like a dagger as Indumauli shrugged his shoulders. "I'll stay awhile." he replied. "I'm not just going to leave that little hyena boy here with weird hybrids if that's what you're thinking. If I did manage to find myself leaving again... I may bring him with me, but it's highly unlikely."
He was going to be around for a bit... Neveah "I didn't think you would. Just up and abandon the kid, I mean," Nev said lightly, dropping his arms and fidgeting with the waistband of his pajama bottoms. "I was just wondering because I wanted to ask if..if you and I could be friends..while you're around," he trailed off lamely, feeling really stupid. Two minutes ago he was in tears and now he was trying to get the wolf to spend time with him. Good gods he was pathetic. Indu probably thought he was nuts.. Indumauli His eyes shifted slightly at the butterfly's idea. After a small moment, the wolf-like hybrid grinned. He stepped over to the male, patting his head gently. "... Sure, Nev." the canine sighed. "I couldn't see why not..." his eyes looked tired as he ran a clawed finger gently through his own white and golden hair.
His tail flicked silently behind him, and the wolf male's expression changed slightly from a tired grin to a softer feature. "I figured you wouldn't want to talk to me anymore after everything that's gone on." he growled it delicately to himself and spoke it as politely as he could to the other hybrid. Neveah He hadn't seen Indumauli grin, too preoccupied with staring at his toes. But then he felt the wolf pat his head and Nev's violet eyes lifted, flicking to the other hybrid's face. When Indu's words finally registered, Neveah smiled and watched the wolf hybrid's face as his expression changed. His good cheer withered slightly at what Indumauli said next. "You know something?" Nev asked after a few moments of silence. "I thought so too. But it seems things didn't work out like that... I'm glad.." Indumauli "...?" he raised a slender brow, placing his nose to Nev's and giving the butterfly a type of Eskimo-kiss. "... Mmm... I'm glad as well, Butter-Ball..." the wolf whispered, pecking a gentle kiss to Neveah's cheek.
Whoever knew that moments like this could be so relaxing? Then... Indu did kill enough brain cells with alcohol, yes...? Maybe his brain just couldn't register a sick, nervous feeling anymore... then... that couldn't be possible as he was feeling it earlier when he had come to speak to Neveah. Though he wasn't now... Bah, emotions were confusing when he was with Neveah, though heavenly.
The wolf pulled away from Nev, stroking the butterfly hybrid's head with gentle, clawed fingers.
His hair was softer than the male had remembered and for some reason even Indu couldn't comprehend, he felt suddenly sad.
Maybe I'm just tired...?
But trying to convince himself such wasn't working, he had missed Nev when he was gone and he was going to miss pulling alot of different loving actions on the male now.
The male's wolf-like ears flattened to his skull and he muttered something to himself about hating being an idiot before pulling his hand away from the butterfly's lovely-colored locks. Neveah At first, Nev didn't know how to react to Indu's show of affection but when the wolf pulled away, the butterflyboy found himself reaching out to grab ahold of the other hybrid's shirt, preventing him from moving too far. As soon as he felt Indumauli's hand rest atop his head and start to stroke his hair, Neveah relaxed considerably, just barely resisting the desire to wrap his arms around the wolf's middle and cuddle in close. Funny how not too long before, Neveah thought he'd scream if he ever saw Indu again but now, here he was, standing in just a pair of pajama bottom's, being treated like an adored pet by the wolf. Just as his eyes started to close, Nev noticed Indu's ears go flat and he tensed slightly, watching. His pointed ears twitched at the muttered words that he couldn't quite catch but the tone was clear enough and when Indumauli's hand withdrew, Neveah had to hold back from heaving a deep sad sigh. Indumauli Indumauli stared with quiet, ice-colored eyes and Neveah. "... Sorry..." he said the words to Nev, and growled them to himself, eyes flicking down towards the ground. Dear lord he was tired... and had no idea what in goddesses name he was doing. The wolf breathed in gently, and let the air out just as smoothly as it had come in.
His tail twitched once before the male shot a glance towards the door.
Well...
"I'll be on my way." he murmured at Neveah, smiling gently at the other male as he ran his clawed fingers through the butterfly's hair again.
God, it seemed strange to him that he actually didn't want to leave, but somehow... Indu had this strange feeling, forming in the pit of his gut... it was rising like a gaseous venom making an attempt to force the wolf to puke... he should leave. It was something that Nev wanted even though the butterfly hybrid's actions didn't show it. He just knew it...
Then, Indu didn't have a woman's intuition. He wasn't very accurate.
He sighed... goddesses, the canine-like male hated feelings. They bugged the crap out of him. Neveah "No, please," Nev began but trailed off lamely, finishing the sentence in his head. He had tried to get the wolf to stay by begging "Please, don't go" once before already but that hadn't stopped Indu from walking away then. What good would it do now? Sighing, Nev turned away from Indumauli and pulled on a t-shirt, feeling suddenly very exposed. "Ok. I'll see you around sometime, I guess," he mumbled halfheartedly, working not to choke on the words. It was obvious the other hybrid didn't want to be around him. Why else would he have looked at the door as if it were a life preserver? Trying not to let the hurt show, Nev moved to see the wolf out. Indumauli Indumauli looked confused. "Please don't go and then you move out of my way? My apologies for not quite understanding." he offered a playful grin, taking a step forward before pecking a gentle kiss to Neveah's lips. "I'll leave if you want me to, Nev. But if you don't..."
Of course he would want to stay. Wouldn't he? Maybe Indumauli was moody. Bah, that wouldn't be good... the wolf male hated moody people. Then again... he wasn't too proud of himself, so...
But, how could he leave his butterfly, even if requested?
He had before, right? But it hurt... or at least, it felt like it did. And if it felt like it... feelings were confusing.
He rubbed a clawed finger against the other hybrid's cheek, making sure not to harm Nev's skin as he performed the action.
Smooth like he had remembered, he embraced the butterfly male gently, draping his arms loosly around Neveah's waist. Of course there wasn't much force, so if the other hybrid wished to get out of the positioning, he could. Neveah Nev blinked several times, working to get his thought process started again. It almost seemed like Indu was reluctant to go...What the hell was going on? "I thought you wanted to leave.." he stammered, pausing when the wolf touched his cheek. Feeling his face flush, Nev lowered his eyes and gasped lightly with surprise when he felt Indumauli's arms slip around his waist. The butterfly boy heaved a sigh and leaned into the other hybrid's embrace, resting his forehead again Indu's chest. "Damn it, feelings are ******** confusing," he muttered. Indumauli "..." he did want to leave... didn't he? Goddesses, Indu needed to think more. The canine-like hybrid heard the other male speak into his chest, ears flattening gently. He wanted to retort something about not being capable of speaking mutter, but he did know what Neveah said... and silently, he did agree... feelings were confusing. The male placed a gentle kiss on the butterfly's head, running his hand up Nev's back before he repeated the kiss again quietly. He rested his forehead on the top of the male's skull, eyes closed and relaxed.
Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn...
He didn't know what to do... what to think.
Indumauli hated being confused. Hated being stupid. Hated... himself? The wolf sighed, letting the air out as roughly as he had devoured it.
His clawed hand made it's way to Neveah's head, and ran through the other male's hair gently. Neveah Feeling the gentle kisses laid atop his head, Nev sighed and shut his eyes, tucking his arms up between his chest and Indu's and burrowing as deeply into the wolf's embrace as he could. He liked being held by Indumauli. He liked Indumauli period. He even didn't mind that the wolf was a drunken couch potato, proving he had it bad. But, deep down, Neveah knew he shouldn't be letting himself be taken in by the pale hybrid. Honestly, how long before Indu got tired of it all and left again? Indumauli He hated it...
Causing people's lives to turn into nothing but misery. Causing them to end up just as bad as him. But Kiviance... and his life, and Indu... and the first person he every truly cared about. It all hit him so hard, every day.
He pulled his hand away from Neveah, and discontinued hugging the butterfly. "Command me to leave if you want me gone, Nev." it was that simple, wasn't it. "I'd prefer truth over a fake snuggle." he took a step away from the other hybrid.
Indu offered a gentle smile and pointed at the door. "Exit?" he questioned, raising an eyebrow quietly. It was his way to ask whether or not he should just leave. Period. Over with. Done.
That way poor Nev could get on with his life... and Indu could continue his misery.
He didn't deserve to be happy. Or at least... it didn't feel like he did. Indu never thought his life was worth... anything. Neveah Nev frowned at the loss of contact and heaved a little sigh. Here it was, proof that Indu did indeed want to leave instead of spend time with him... It took a couple seconds for the wolf's words to register but, when they finally did, it just confused Neveah even more. "What?" he asked dumbly, letting his arms fall to his sides. "I..I don't want you to go. And, just now, when I was cuddled up nice and close to you, did it seem like I didn't want to be there? Like I was pretending to enjoy being close to you like that?" Indumauli "It did." he replied without any trace of hesitation.
Indu, however, didn't often go with what he felt... apparently. The wolf-like male blinked for a short moment, tail flicking unhappily behind him. He tapped his foot quietly, icy eyes looking Neveah over for a moment before he sighed in quietly and offered an apologetic smile. It really had felt as though Nev wanted him out of his life...
Did he not then?
Goddesses, bad feelings sucked... apparently good feelings swallowed.
Bah, such thoughts must be shooed away from his mind. The wolf sighed in quietly, pinching the bridge of his nose and breathing in and out again. Neveah Nev stared at the floor, feeling like someone had just punched him in the gut. Funny how two little words could hurt so much. Since his eyes were directed at his feet, the butterfly didn't see Indu's smile. In fact, he didn't see much of anything except watery blurs. "Look," he finally said, surprised at how even his voice was. "If you don't want to stay, then just go. I won't stop you. But, for the record, I did enjoy being close to you. It wasn't just pretend." Lifting a hand to scrub at his eyes, Nev turned away and started to walk back to his bedroom, somehow feeling worse than he had when he thought Indu was gone and never coming back. Indumauli Indumauli watched without speaking... or making any noise for that matter. The canine's tail curled slightly when he forced himself to hold back the words trying to exit his mouth. They rose... strangely from his stomach, much like vomit would... and he had that strange sickly feeling one might have before they threw up everything they had down.
He did as instructed, leaving the butterfly alone quietly.
He didn't hold a record... therefore didn't put the words on it. But the male did reply quietly, "And you're better off without me... for the record." he muttered it in the other hybrid's direction.
The wolf male considered Nev's statements for a while in his mind as he made his way to the vehicle that had brought him to the butterfly's residence.
He opened the car door..."So what did you tell him?" a voice inquired from inside. "I told him... he was better off without me." "... Aaah." Gideon stared ahead at the road, ears tweaking gently. "Ash is going to kill you for that." "It's none of her damn buisness anyway. For all I care that stupid owner of ours could go shoot herself." his own ears flattened in response to Gideon's tweaking, and Indu opened his mouth again. "Then, it's none of your buisness either." "I'm the personal taxi of our residence..." Gideon offered a friendly grin in Indu's direction. "Therefore, I should get to know all of the melodramatic love stories... deal?" Indu returned the same smile, shaking his head in pure amusement before nodding. "Deal, deal. Just don't say anything to anyone... even if they ask." "... Do you really even think he's better off without you?" "Well... don't you?" "... Yeah. But that's just my opinion from hearing your story so far." Gideon replied, raising a slender brow and starting the car up. "Something wrong?" "Bah. You're right, you're right. Guess I just..." he looked in the general direction of Neveah's room. "didn't wanna go..." Neveah And you're better off without me...
Neveah sighed while he stared up at his bedroom ceiling, thinking over what Indumauli had said. Maybe it was true. Seemed quite plausible. The butterfly wanted to tell himself he was better off without Indu. But, even if he did buy that, it wouldn't relieve the hollow ache in his chest. Why couldn't the wolf had changed his act just once and come after Neveah? Heaving another sigh, Nev muttered, "Damn it, Indumauli. You big idiot..."

Joint RP - Indumauli and Neveah Indu and Nev Indumauli He hadn't seen Nev in awhile...
Needless to say, he had been particularly busy taking care of Nzame and Gwynn (considering Gregory's irritating absence) - therefore probably wouldn't have time even if he gave or received a call. Though lack of the butterfly hybrid had made him rather cranky, Baasima had noted out loud one morning - much to the disapproval of Gideon who had been trying desperately to say nothing about the other canines snappy observations, etcetera.
He sat in a diner, muttering several colorful words towards a cup of coffee that didn't want to talk (ignoring Indu never resulted well, in this case he had decided that more frustrated curses might get something out of the dark liquid). But they didn't, so the male had finally decided that he should discontinue the unfriendly growls towards the poor mug before someone called the police on him for... harassment on an inanimate object?
He leaned back in the seat, shoulder blades unfamiliar with the comfortable fabrics that made the thing up. Perhaps he should give Gideon a call to come get him? He was feeling rather woozy, so it was a rather good idea... but then, lack of a cellphone somewhat altered it to a bad idea considering only children walking home from school asked to use a phone at a diner... and even imagining the mortification that would follow the words, "Can I call home on your phone? I don't feel well and need someone to come get me..." made Indu shiver uncomfortably. Neveah It had been awhile since he'd last seen Indu.. But that wasn't especially surprising considering he hadn't made any move to call the wolf. And it wasn't as if he really expected Indu to call him. Nope, Neveah had decided to leave it all to chance with Indu. It had worked pretty well for him so far. And maybe his crush would miss him during these absences. 'Separation makes the heart grow fonder', right? The butterfly considered all this as he walked with no particular destination in mind when a plaintive gurgle issued from somewhere around his midsection and made him pause, looking down at his stomach with an eyebrow raised. And, as it happened, he was standing right in front of a diner. Neveah studied the little establisment for a moment, thinking about it, before he finally decided to go in. And, 'lo and behold, what should he spot first but a familiar head of white-blonde hair and a pair of exceptionally cute wolf ears. "Well hello there, stranger. Long time, no see," Nev said, trying not to sound too eager, as he slid into the seat opposite Indumauli. "You look like you're in a good mood. Wanna talk about it?" Indumauli The butterfly seated across from him was definitely more interesting than the coffee, Indu decided shortly after the other hybrid decided to sit. "Butter-Ball... long time no see..." he greeted tiredly, clawed fingers wrapped around his mug in an attempt to warm after having been chilled from the outside temperature only moments before this one.
"I'd rather not talk about it actually..." he murmured a reply to earlier question, teeth gritted somewhat, "The last thing I need to do is share my feelings. Anyhow, I haven't seen you for quite some time. Been up to anything interesting lately?" He rose a slender brow, fingers removing themselves from his drink having been heated to approval by now. Neveah "Oh, I wouldn't say anything I've been up to lately has been interesting. I mostly find myself sitting down with a book but I also have a job now. Elros got it for me," he said it with a shrug, almost indifferently. But really, he was thrilled about the whole thing. He just doubted Indu would want to hear him go on about it. "So, what've you been doing with your time?" Neveah asked lightly, tapping his fingertips aainst the tabletop. "Oh, and if you decide you do wanna tell me about whatever's bothering you, I'm all ears," he added, seemingly as an afterthought. Indumauli "A job?" he offered the butterfly an amused look, icy eyes dancing moments with contemplation over the given information. He shook off imagery of his hybrid in uniform and snickered, "And where - may I ask - is it you work, Butter-Ball?" he raised a slender brow, ears flicking with thoughtfulness as they listened for reply of some kind.
Typically interest in such things didn't exist for Indumauli - but this was, in fact, Neveah - so perhaps it was best to talk with the butterfly about the butterfly. And far as he could tell, a job would initiate some interesting conversation.
Wouldn't it? Neveah Nev was quite a bit taken aback by Indu's interest in the subject but he recovered quickly enough and worked up a sheepish smile for the wolf. "Well, I work at the bakery Elros just up and decided to open," he answered, glancing up at Indumauli. "I'm just a cashier but I still have to wear an apron. Most days I can get away with one of the plain white ones but when business is slow, El makes me put on this pink frilly number. She says it attracts customers," the butterfly pouted while his cheeks turned red. Indumauli "You? In a pink frilly apron? That's definitely appealing - I would totally come in. But I doubt I'd buy bread with the money I have - I'd probably just hit on you until this Elros lady kicked my butt out of the bakery..." a grin of amusement before he continued, "Of course I'd come back like - everyday you worked until she finally decided to call the police on me."
A small snicker, "Wouldn't that be deathly amusing...? The cops dragging me out of a bakery of all places. Not a bar, a bakery. Sounds like something that would happen to Kestrel for stealing bread because he thought it was free." Neveah Nev let out a snort of laughter at the image that brought to mind then covered his nose and mouth until it subsided. When he'd finally recovered from his merriment, he took several deep breaths to get his wind back. "You know, I don't think Elros would particularly mind, though," he mused aloud after a second of thoughtful silence. "She'd more than likely consider it a huge draw. I mean, two really gorgeous guys flirting in her shop? And the frilly pink apron would be icing on the cake.. At the very least it'd bring in the yaoi fangirls," the butterfly boy pointed out, resting his chin in the palm of his hand and smiling lazily at Indu. Indumauli "You think so...?" he inquired, amusement that was all-too-often displayed on his features evident now. "I wonder if she would mind me jumping over the counter and ripping everything but frilly apron off of you." The canine moved a clawed hand towards the butterfly gently, cupping the tanned face tenderly. "It's been quite some time, y'know? I'd jump over this table now and rip off everything if we weren't in public..." he winked. Bah, teasing the lovely butterfly was definitely entertaining on his behalf.
Indu immediately removed the hand once the mental note had been made, leaning back into his seat.
He was certain his drink was cooled by now - but in all reality, he didn't care in the slightest. He was pleased just to be here - with Nev.
