Sephy ran to her side.
'Are you al...'
Then something hit her as well.
'What's going...' Began the doctor, and then gasped as an unknown force knocked the wind out of him.
'So there is a witch...' Breathed sephy.
'Where is she, though... Argh!'
Sephy cried out as gashes appeared in her arm.
There, cut into her flesh were the words 'You'll never find me.'
She hissed in pain, then reached inside her bag and found a bandage.
'Well, she's powerful. I'll grant her that. Styric, by the looks of it.'
Looking at the two blank faces that were straing at her, she explained.
'Styrics appeal to their gods instead of using spells. Their spells are more like prayers. They weave their fingers into patterns to build the spells. If they want, they can hold the spell. But it's very draining. Not as much for them. It's in their blood - they were born to do it. But for others that want to use it, it's much harder.'

The doctor gathered his breath, and pulled out his sonic screwdriver. 'Here, I can cauterize it.' He buzzed it against her arm and it stopped bleeding. 'You help me find this one, and we're even.' He nodded. 'Let's go.'

Elinor Turned to follow Sephy and the Doctor but something stopped her. she turned around and saw movement out of the corner of her eye. without thinking she follwed it into an ally to find that there was nothing there. she sighed "i must be going mad" she said and turned back towards Sephy and The Doctor.

'What? What did you see?' Demanded Sephy.
'N-Nothing. It... It's just that...'
'W-what? J-Just what? out with it.'
'I thought I saw something.'
'Where?' Sephy immediately ran down the alleyway, and checked it.
'Well, Theres a homeless guy that lives down this way. And a secret cult that practises some form of magic. Not stryic, though.'
'How can you tell?'
'I can see signs of it.'
They came out, and were met with a masked figure. It held a staff in its hands. It was wood, with vines and leaves carved into it. Near to the top it grew into the head of a great snake. In the jaws of the snake there was a large crystal that glowed with an unearthly energy. The figure pointed the staff at the three.
'kelad seithr gala. Okeragukasek se ne namrebyc.'
Sephy's eyes widened and she quickly muttered a counter spell. Elinor, the doctor and sephy dematerialised, and reappeared on the other side of the village.
'Let's get out of here.' breathed sephy weakly as her knees gave way.

He said, fishing in his pocket, 'I really must tell you about a man called Jack.' He tossed her a small sonic blaster. 'Nice man, he was a yank, but I can forgive him for it.' He looked at the blaster in her hands and the odd expression on her face. 'I wasn't gonna use it.' He said, still running.

Sephy felt a presence behind her, and heard a gasp.
'Huh?' she whipped her head around blearily to see the lady crumpled on the ground. The masked figure was looking at her.
It began to mutter again.
'Run, Doctor.'
She limped over to Elinor, and knelt beside her, taking out her sword.
'Lira no isi!' she shouted.
The figure looked at her.
'You speak... the tongue?'
Sephy nodded.
'It matters not. You will die.'

The doctor palmed his face. 'I was giving you the gun.' He looked round and saw her crumpled on the floor. 'Ok, so you're not gonna use it either.' He ran over and picked up the gun, and aimed it at the masked figure. 'Who are you?' he demanded.

The masked person muttered a spell, and the gun flew out of his hands.
'Nice try. But you will die.'
'And I like pie. ' Teased sephy 'And I can fly.'
Drawing on the energy of the other two timelords as well as herself, she teleported them to the TARDIS.
Inside, she grabbed the Doctor and punched him.
'I've been wanting to do that for a while.'
'Okay...'
'Sorry. Lifelong dream. Punch a timelord.'

elinor groaned and opened her eyes, blinked and opened her eyes again. there was a man looking at her. he was strange and his face kept changing. elinor tried to stand but found the ground kept moving under her. she sat down again. in the distance she could see the doctor and sephy but they looked strangly un-real. the room they were in was a weird dark room with a sickly green glow. the doctor was saying something but elinor couldnt hear it. the man looked sadly at her and vanished. elinor pulled herself on to her feet and walked over to the doctor and sephy. "hay, are you guys ok?" she asked. they didnt answer. they didnt even look at her. elinor walked around to face the doctor and stepped onto something cold. she looked down and gasped in horror. lying on the floor was her. cold and pail and glowing a strange orange colour. her eyes were open but all that could be seen was orange. then elinor saw herself stand up.the orange colour dissapeared from her eyes. the doctor and sephy had not seen this and looked over and the 2 elinors. the doctor came over to elinor and walked through her, before moving to the other elinor. elinor looked down at her hand and relised she could see the floor through it. "what is this?" she hissed.

The doctor sat up abruptly. He swallowed and looked round at sephy. 'Hullo.' He said, and stood up. He turned back to her. 'Why would you want to punch a time lord. Jeebus, first you try to kill me, then you punch me. I'm starting to get the impression you don't like me.' He looked around the room. 'Ok, assets, assets. We're locked in a room, we lost the gun. Sonic screwdriver...' He checked his pockets. 'Gone. Well, the assets conversation went quickly.

The doctor shook his head. 'What kind of bad guys are these?' he muttered to himself, stooping down to examine the passage. He stood back up. 'Ladies first.' He said to Sephy.

Sephy rolled her eyes.
'Whatever.'
She stepped through, and slip down to the bottom of what was like a giant luminescent sphere. It was very, very cold.
'Oh dear.' thought sephy.
[Note: I think I forgot to put in my profile thing that sephy's race is... sort of ...allergic, you could say... to cold.]
'It's safe... ish.'She called up.
The Doctor and Elinor followed.
'Cold.' Whispered Elinor.
'Well, only one way to go.' Smiled the Doctor. There was a door on the other side of the sphere.
'okay.' Elinor stepped back, and ran up the side of the sphere. The sphere simply turned, making elinor like a hamster in a wheel. the Doctor was sent sprawling, and sephy, who had seen it all before ran and grabbed elinor.
'Nope. This thing's like a ball in one of those earth computer mouse things. There has to be another way up.' Sephy rubbed her arms and shivered.
