As the spider mishap stretched his arms out Delphi plopped back onto her bum in suprise. Had she scared him? She hadn't meant to really!
"Wo" she waved uncertainly as way of an apology, he certainly was very big and scary looking this way.
As Cato hissed however, her tail puffed out as big as it could go. Why was he being so meeeean?! Her face scrunched up ready to burst into tears, when a painful tug was felt on her tail fins. Her eyes opened wide in shock, what was he doing? They were her pretty fins not his!
The scared and angry little mishap let out a loud "Roooowwl!!" and puffed her spiny fins out, Cato was not the only one who could make himself look big and intimidating.

At Delphi's loud cry, Kay whirled around. She knew that sound, Delphi had made it once or twice before when she was being naughty, what was the girl up to this time? Had she been fighting with the other children...?
Her eyes fell on Cato clutching onto her little girl who was howling with rage. "Delphi!" she cried, standing up, so much for all the children playing together nicely.

Catherine smiled placidily at Salem, knowing he would like the news, sooner of later she knew she hear wedding bells in the future, but it all depended on Salem she supposed. Though before she could say another word, yelling arupted from off in the distance, gasping she looked over. "Salem!" She said pointed urgently at Cato.

Aphrodite poked her head from out of Garreth's basket. Zooming out of the basket, Aphrodite readied herself incase drastic measure needed to be taken. "Cato stop it!" She yelled, "You're hurting her!"

"Ah.. umm.." Not knowing what to do, Garreth stayed behind. "Um. Hi?" He smiled at Aladon.

Nariko, furrowed her brow, giving Cato a swift right hook towards his cheek. "She's just a baby stupid!" She cried out. "Mama said I should be nice to you since you don't know how to be! Mama said I should be nice because you're gonna be our brother!" The icemadien huffed. "You're stupid! You're a meanie Cato! I don't want you to be my brother!"

Cato hissed again as the baby tried to intimidate him, not letting go. "MIIIIINE!" Next he glared up at the eldest of the children, though the smallist. "Go 'way, bug!" He snapped at her before yelping as the ice maiden hit him. He lost his grip and fell back on his bum, tears welling up in all four of his odd double eyes. He looked at Nariko in shock for a moment, quietly whimpering. No one had ever hit him that hard before. That had hurt a lot! His whimpers grew louder before they shifted gears into a full blow wail, pouncing the girl in his rage and hitting her repeatedly as hard as he could with all of his free hands, all the while still clutching Blank's pretty egg.

Salem's eyes widened as he heard Cato's cry of 'mine'. Oh no... This wasn't good. The question is, how bad was it. As soon as Catherine pointed he was up on his knees, golden eyes darting to the sadly familiar sight of his toddler clinging to another child's parts. "CATO! NO!" He was on his feet and nothing short of a sprint. He growled softly as he saw his little one get struck when he was half way there before skidding to a stop and scooping up his wailing child. Now he had a problem. Sooth the childs pain or scold him for hurting someone again. He'd have to choose a mix of the two. "Cato! I told you to behave! You can't go hurting everyone you meet just because you think they have something pretty that you want. If it doesn't belong to you, you can't just take it Cato! Garreth! Do me a favor. Pick up Delphine and Nariko and take them back to the adults. I need to talk to Cato some more." The whole time he was gently holding the Spider toddler close, rubbing his back.

Cato cried loudly, clinging tightly to his adoptive father. "It... It huuuurrrtss!!"

Delphine hadn't stoped her wailing the whole time. As Cato hissed at her for the second time her cries grew even louder. Even when her fins were released from Cato's harsh grip her crying persisted.

Kay was already halfway across the green field when Cato let go. She quickly scooped the thrashing Delphine up into her arms not really paying any attention to Cato or Salem, right now she was more conerned about calming her baby down.

Delphine's cries slowly subsided into sniffles and she clung tighter to Kay. That had been the worsetest thing that had ever happened she decided.

Catherine pushed herself up from the ground as she waddled her way toward her children. "Aphrodite, go see if Del is ok." She said quietly, as she calmly grasped Nariko by the wrist and pulled her away fromt he scene of the crime.

The wasp nodded as she flew over to Kay and Delphine. "I'm sorry about what happened. Cato's just a... - I hope she isn't too badly scared." She bowed her head, ashamed of siblings and siblings to be.

"I'm in trouble... aren't I?" Nariko hadn't cried or screamed when Cato fought back, but he did give her a nasty shiner. Rubbing her cheek, she pouted looking up at her mother.

Catherine sighed looking down at Nariko, torn between comforting her daughter who looked like half of a panda.. or scolding her for hitting Cato... even though she did saved Delphine from the fate that befall most children Cato claimed a piece of.

"He deserved it!" She huffed, looking away at the grass. "He's such a stupid head! He didn't have to hurt that bay-bee! Just like what he did to Tammie and Ike! He so stupid! I don't want to try and be his friend mama even if he's gonna be my brother! He's never gonna be good! And you know it!" The toddler howled, as she tried to pulled herself away from Catherine's grip.

Garreth on the other hand, made a face, looking down at Aladon, he felt very out of place. "Wanna.. keep looking for eggies?" He smiled at the bat mishap as he tried his best to keep a positivie disposition.

Salem walked away from the group, far from ear shot and settled down in the shade of a tree. Back leaning against the trunk he gently held his toddler close, rocking him. "Shhh... Come on Cato... You're okay... Shhh... It's okay baby... Daddy's here..." He could only hope Catherine would scold Nariko for hitting Cato, as well deserved as it seemed to be. The last thing he needed was for her to think it was okay to hit him every time he did something wrong. After all, it wasn't the toddler's job to make sure Cato behaved. It was Salems.

The spider toddler, clung to his Daddy, nuzzling the tear soaked shirt as he slowly quieted down to whimpers. He gently pet his bronze egg to comfort himself before looking up at his adoptive father. "Daddy... Dat hurt a lah..." He whined softly, sniffling.

"I know Cato... It doesn't feel nice, does it?" He asked softly of his toddler. Perfect. Cato had luckily set things up in a way he could easily work this into a lesson. Hopefully this time it would work.

"Nuh-uh... It hurts..." The little one shook his head as he spoke, pouting.

Salem reached down to wipe away the wetness at his little Cato's face as he spoke. "Do you know that that's how it feels when you do it to other people? Did you know you hurt that baby like that?" He prayed that Cato picked up the drift.

Cato blinked a couple of times at that one. That's what it felt like when he'd pull at the pretty things he wanted off people? It hurt that bad? Really? Wow... He frowned slightly, sucking on his lower lip for a moment as he thought about all of this. "Dey hurt dat much...?"

"Yes Cato. You hurt them really bad." He replied, waiting to see the spider mishap's reactions.

"I... I didn'... I didn' mean to..." He mumbled softly up to his Daddy, cuddling his egg gently.

"I know you didn't. You see why I keep telling you not to do things like that? You hurt people when you do. Hurting people is bad Cato. You shouldn't hurt people. You hurt Delphine really bad."

Cato whimpered softly at this point, whining softly as his lips parted before it formed into words. "I... I didn' mean to..."

"You're sorry Cato?"

"Uh-huh..." The little on nodded softly.

"That's good, Cato. You need to go say you're sorry to Delphine for hurting her, okay? Now don't think you're getting off this without being punished! Hmmm... You can't gather any of the eggs today. Alright Cato?" He waggled a finger at the toddler as he shifted to support him with only one arm.

"Cato reached up with his left hand, lightly grabbing that finger, nodding softly. "Awright Daddy... I'll say I'm sorry..."

Catherine furrowed her brows as she wrapped her arms aroudn the toddler's waist. "Now listen!" Catherine said in a loud stern tone. "What you did was wrong! You're not supposed to hit people like that- "

" -but he deserved it!" The toddler protested trying to wiggle out of her mother's grip.

"It's not your job to make sure he behaves, that's Salem's job. You are not an adult and you shouldn't take things into your own hands. You get an adult, if you can't find one get a big kid like your sister." She let her grip loosen off the child, letting her loose. Kneeling down to Nariko's level, Catherine sighed kissing her forehead. "Hun, hitting people because you think that's the only way to do something is wrong. There's other ways to fix things, like talking them out- "

" Or gettin' an adult?" Nariko sighed, looking down at her feet. "Ok... I gets it."

"Now, let me fix that right up.. and then you say sorry to Cato, because he's feeling about as much pain as you are... You guys need to try to get along.. and not fight like this." Catherine sighed, as she picked up Nariko and made her way towards Kani and the fence. "And all those mean things you said.. how would you feel if someone said that about you?"

"Bad." She sighed, restign her head on her mother's shoulder, alright she got the drift. Hitting people is wrong, and saying mean things is stupid... got it.

Catherine smield as she sat down next to Kani in her previous seat, reaching through the fence she grabbed her purse from the wagon, and pulled out an ointment from her purse. Opening it up, she applied the pink colored salve to the toddler's face. "Now.. about your punishment...

"I think she's ok," Kay answered Aphrodite, "just a bit of a drama queen really; aren't you?" she stroked the sniffling Delphi's hair gently. "And it wouldn't suprise me if she'd done something to start it either." she ruffled the fishkitty's hair.

Delphine peeked out curiously to see who her mother was talking to. Was it the bad thing? She blinked as she spied Aphrodite and her sniffles subsided. "Fairwie?"

"See?" Kay smiled, "all better already." She frowned again as she spied Cato and Nariko both getting a talking to by their parents and shook her head. "So much for everyone enjoying a nice day out. I hope we didn't wreck it for you?"

Aphrodite shook her head laughing as she sat on Delphine's head, merely to entertain the almost traumatised babe. "Nah, this stuff happens sometimes.. but Cato's still a baby, he's still learning right from wrong... and Nari has this thing with always having to step in." The wasp sighed smiling at Delphine. "No no.. I'm not a fairie." The mishap blushed, she was no one in comparison to such a pretty thing.

"Alright Cato. Come on, then." Gently putting Cato down onto his feet, he stood up on his own slipping his hand into the left one that Cato offered to him before starting to lead the way back. Coming to a stop next to Kay he picked up Cato so he could be closer to Delphine.

Cato toddled along next to his father, large egg still clutched protectively to his belly. He allowed himself to be picked up, turning to look at Delphine. He hesitated for a moment, just looking at her quietly for a bit before speaking softly. "I... I'm sorry..." He mummbled softly, biting his lower lip lightly. Honestly he looked like he felt really bad, but whether he'd be forgiven or not was still up in the air.

Wheeling the stroller roughly through the grass, Baxterfullous grudgingly decided against his beliefs and decided to be unappropriately social... pity him. Truding his way up the hill he huffed a bit. "Istu, what have you been eating?" He laughed, though it was more because of the slipply grass from the previous night's rain that made the treck so hard.

The reindeer fawn clapped his hands together as he was wheeled, loving the attention he had recieved in the past few hours. Boy was that weird kitty man so cranky.. but he was so nice too. "Swee!" He exclaimed happily, crowds of people usually meant a treat!

Delphine went crosseyed trying to look at the tiny mishap perched on her head. It kind of tickled!

"I see." Kay nodded rather impressed with Aphrodite's mature tone. "Hopefully things will calm down now and we can collect some more easter eggs." She grinned but it was quickly replaced with a more solemn face as she spotted Salem approaching with Cato.

Delphi was to occupied trying to catch a glimpse of Aphrodite to spot Cato until the last minute. She let out a whine and tried to hide herself in her mother's shirt when she spotted the spider mishap.

Kay's expression softened as Cato apologised. He did look really sorry, and after having had a smack from Narkio and then a talking to from his guardian she wasn't at all suprised.
"It's alright Cato." she finally said, "you just have to be more gentle with babies." she turned Delphine in her arms with a bit of difficulty to face him.

Delphine meanwhile wasn't going to let him get away with it that easily. Feeling rather more brave now that she had her mother and Aphrodite to protect her and seeing Cato was in a bit of trouble, she demanded rather huffily, "Eg!"
Maybe if he'd help her collect lots of the bright egg things then she wouldn't be mad at him anymore; she decided with a swish of her tail and for a baby a rather haughty look.

"MINE!" Snapped the spider, growing angry again. He had said he was sorry! She couldn't have his egg too! He nothing short of curled up into a ball, gripping the large bronze egg with all both main and secondary hands along with his bare feet. He was not going to let go.

"Heh... He's being punished Delphi sweety. He can't collect any eggs today, and that one was given to him a while ago so you can't have it." He spoke softly, holding his toddler close in an attempt to make him feel better. He knew the baby had ment well, but it seemed it had been taken in the wrong way.

Kay shook her head in amusment. "Silly Delphi, that's definately not an easter egg and it's Cato's to boot."

Delphine fluffled her fins in annoyance. Well, she hadn't let him have her tail fins, so maybe she could let him keep the giant egg.. for now at least. "'Kay." she replied to Cato with a rather resigned air and then wriggled slightly in her mothers arms wanting to be set down again.

The guardian set her down on the grass, Delphine promptly began to crawl away towards the bushes where she'd spotted an egg earlier.
