Obsidian smiled lightly at his comment about his notes. He was so right. Even the bits in English were hardly legible. She blushed hotly at his question. How on earth did he know that? She had just barely put her name on the list.

"Yes. Why? Are you?" she asked softly, glancing up at him. That was probably a stupid question. How else would he have known that she had signed up.

"Uh yeah." He said with a small laugh. "Actually, I'm kinda Vice captain. After an odd twist of fate." Stuffing the paper in his bag he smiled. She looked like she could do with a few friends and Sensei had said they were supposed to be like big brothers.
"Well, I'll se you at practice then." He said trying to make her feel comfortable enough to come. "Bye." And with that he was gone.

Obsidian quirked an eyebrow at his odd response. An odd twist of fate? What, did he injure the runner up or something? Shrugging it off she supposed they would be seeing each other in practice then. Well... that was productive, she thought as she let out a small sigh as she turned and walked off in the opposite direction.
