Monster and Scorch it's pretty much the only paint I shoot, Scorch is much better but a bit more expensive and you get less per box. You notice it when you mix a hopper and see the diffrence. Neight brand is bad I think both are pretty good especially Monster for the price.
I ususally don't buy expensive paint because
a) I don't have the money
b) The only places I buy paint only sell cheap brands.

I usually use Cryptic by ZAP, its like a notch or two below tournement level paint and since im just playing rec ball it works great

mechredd I tend to shoot whatever the best stuff the local shop has in stock. I've shot 32 degrees, Diablo, Hellfire, Evil, and I have PMI right now. I've also shot some real crappy stuff too. Brass Eagle was the very first paint that I bought and it broke too easey. I was playing in a woodsball tourny once and the paint was provided for us. It was Core, and shot more like a glueball. Has anyone ever shot Tippmann? I found out that I can get it for half off at work. About the tippmann, I've shot both the Custom and the A-5, if you want accuracy.. i'd go with the custom, if you want rapid fire.. go with the A-5, they tend to break less balls with the hopper system, although they only hold about 150 instead of 200 paintballs. I currently own a Tippman98 Custom with a 16" Dye Boomstick barrell along with a response trigger n an AutoFeader, n omg its quiet, although the quietest barrell i've heard with the 98 Cust. is the 32Degrees 18" barrell, only a few are made that size for the 98 so not too hard to miss. But As far as the type of paint I use.. Marballizers all the way. I won't use anything else for tourny's. And for practice I just use the cheapest thing i can get.. except for Midnights.. holy crap they suck sum major balls, they never shoot straight and they're allways breaking in my barrell.

so my field switched to Nelson. i have to say that the only good paint they have is hemorage and anarchy. anything other than that sucks. the fills are bright but its harder than wal-mart paint. i got bunkered lats 3 man. the guy shot me 7 times and 1 broke.......on my tank. the stuff is awfull. oh yeah it stains too. its waxed based instead of water based so it stains and is a pain in the butt to get off of targets (my fence). i hate the stuff but its FPO and hemmorage costs like 55 a case and anarchy is 65.
all in all nelson sucks. dont shoot it

Does it really matter what kind you get? I was thinking of just buying a bulk of 10 cases for $270. As long as it shoots right?

Of course it matters what type you get. You don't want low grade paint if you are a serious baller, you want as good as you can get it. You want your shots to count so you can eliminate the other players don't you?
Sure the higher grades are more expensive but totally worth it. If you've ever had the chance to shoot paint such as DraXxuS Hellfire you know why people want it. It supplys a thin brittle shell that breaks on about any region you hit someone in and provides a very vibrant color that stands out from long range and thats the starting of why people want it.
Sure you can get the lower-end stuff, but if your a serious baller your cutting yourself short if your getting the lower grade stuff. I wish the field I play at got in more higher grade paint becuase I want my shots to count and not just bounce off some guys chest.

I would recommend scorch, Zap or origion paintballs because they are reliable and not too expensive. But dont get monster paintballs, they really suck and have bad color

usually stinhgers, diablo sometimes marbilizers or allstars. i like evils but there expensive. i shoot what ever is in the 500bags at the local store.
