Alyssa was surprised at Makie's sudden introduction, and wasn't used to this sort of thing. She blinked and gazed at Makie with a soft smile of understanding. Alyssa had a feeling Makie was like Alyssa herself; a shy and quiet person. "Hello..I'm Alyssa...Alyssa Darkwood.." She replied with a calm voice.

Makie was quite pretty, though Alyssa had known Makie didn't believe so. Her deep chocolate brown eyes described Makie in ways that words could not, they were the true essence of her personality. Alyssa found Makie to be one of the more unique persons in Ria, which made Alyssa feel more at home than she had since she arrived here.

Alyssa's burgundy lips lowered into a casual grin as Makie stuttered through her words, trying not to say anything stupid to her. Alyssa placed a hand on Makie's shoulder and nodded. "Don't be nervous Makie Saiyuri, you won't make a fool of yourself around me." Alyssa removed her hand and put the brush back into her duffle, her brown eyes half-closed, dazed and smart.

Alyssa stood up for a mere few seconds before returning to her seat, but now on her knees. She gazed at Makei for a minute before restarting the conversation that had died. "So, I see you are a Light Manipulater. Very impressive I must say." Alyssa said, fiddling with a small, crystal ball she had grabbed from her duffle bag while putting away the brush.

"N-Ni-Nice to m-meet y-you Alyssa..." Makie stuttered once more, obviously the tension was not going to ease automatically. Makie needed time to reassure herself. Alyssa, having gone through this many times understood and did not want to pressure her into anything.

When Makie created the lifeless bunny from the random light source within her hands, Alyssa's eyes grew wide with curiousity and amusement. She didn't have the sorts of powers that others did here. She was a simple sort of person when it came to powers, and she wasn't very proud of them either.

"W-What a-are y-you're powers...?" Makie asked, easing into the question almost naturally. Alyssa was still startled by the question none the less and looked down at the floor frowning some. It wasn't that Alyssa didn't want to show Makie, Alyssa just thought her powers were second-hand to everyone else's.

"I-I'm s-sorry... I-I-If y-you d-don't w-want t-to say i-it... I-It's o-okay..." she apologized, still looking at Alyssa with what looked to be pleading. Alyssa turned her brown eyes back to Makie and smiled some.
"I'm a telepath..I can read minds and converse through mental connections I open with others." Alyssa explained, a mental connection opened between the two as she whispered into Makie's mind. Her voice had a cool, sarcastic tone but one that could not be helped.

Alyssa was a sarcastic person, she tried to keep it from showing but it was difficult. "I also use telekinetics...I can move objects with my mind.." Alyssa sighed, almost ashamed of the powers she contained. If only she could manipulate some sort of element, if she could do something more worthwhile than just these things...maybe...just maybe...things would be different.

Alyssa smiled brightly at Makie, her lips shut tight as she was trying to hide her fangs from Makie, afraid of her reaction. Makie's smile was one of the most gorgeous Alyssa had seen ever. They were as white as pearls, straight and perfect in ever way. Alyssa could never compete with Makie's beauty, Alyssa had never seen anyone that beautiful. "Would you like to see some telekinetics? I'm not very good but I can show you some."

She narrowed her eyes some as she stared at the crystal ball in her hand. After a moment the ball lifted off Alyssa's hand and levetated for some time before it began flying around the room, doing back-flips in mid-air, doing things people could only dream of doing. Finally, the crystal ball resumed its place in Alyssa's hand.

Dead, and motionless Alyssa smiled again and nodded in aggreeance with Makie. Her powers were pretty cool she had to admit and they were an advantage to her in all battles she went after. However, with these powers came a terrible past that Alyssa relived every night in her sleep..or day..whenever she decided to sleep.

"I love your powers..I may not be fond of light all that much. I do wish I could manipulate some sort of element though, like you do Makie." Alyssa replied, her charisma was beyond her years. It had to be, her mother allowed no less.

"T-Th-That's way cooler then w-what I-I can d-do! You're p-power i-is soo useful and amazing. I-I'm jealous... I-I wanna r-read m-minds too!"

Almost immeadiately, Alyssa's face grew grave and serious. Makie never needs to feel that way, especially when it comes to having powers such as she. "Do not fall into jealousy Makie-chan. Jealously turns to greed, then to hate, and you will live in darkness..envious of all. Do not feed the darkness Makie..don't." It was almost as if this were from a movie of some sort, but Alyssa didn't need to tell Makei she was serious, because her eyes said it all.

Her once gentle, soothing eyes were deep and filled with wisdom, or that's what it looked like. Alyssa knew of what she was talking about, that much was certain.

Akward silence followed Alyssa's speech, but she quickly changed the subject as if nothing had happened. "Makie, your powers are of great quality. Don't wish you had mine. Yours are truley unique. I love that about you." her voice returned to the river-like flow she had when she first encountered Makie, and her eyes softened back to normal.

Makie's small ears listened to Alyssa. The childlike smile still on her face, the small girl nodded, clasping her hands in excitement. "Ohh! Y-Yes please!" She exclaimed, happy as a little school girl on her first day of school. She's never seen a telekenic person in action before. Her chocolate orbs watched the crystal ball in Raine's hand levitate, and then it began to zoom around Ai's room.

Makie's eyes followed the ball in loop-deloops, flips, zig-zags and all those things you wish you could do if you could fly. The brunette wished she could fly, but it's not like she could sprout wings and fly, right? That would be way too good to be true.But if she could fly, she'd probably do laps around the Courtyard, and she'd fly to high up secret hide outs. She'd go to the flying city of Eden! Or prehaps she'd fly to some quiet place and practice her dancing. Ah! She'd probably put off dance shows in the air, and get extra money because she could dance in mid-air! But that's besides the point.

Alyssa's crystal ball finally landed safely back in Alyssa's hand. Makie clapped happily like a child. "W-W-Wow!! T-That's s-soo c-cool!" That's when Alyssa spoke about how she loved the brunette's powers. The small girl blushed. Not a lot of people said that about her powers. Actually, Makie hated her powers. When she was small, even though she's still small now, she believed that the only reason why her grandparents took her in was to see if she had powers. And she did. So, to her it was like one-sided love. They only loved her because she had powers.

However, that opinion changed later on, when her grandmother died. She grew to love her powers. However, recently, when her pendant that controlled her powers was destroyed, she began to hate her powers even more. She didn't want to hurt any one, which was now a high possibilty. So, now, she was torn two ways. To love or hate her powers. All she wanted was to make people happy, but now, what if she lost controlled and killed some one. Makie blushed, and brang her knees to chest, while also hugging her white stuffed cat in the process.

That's when Raine began to look all serious and she looked as if she was about to reveal this big secret like the climax of a book or movie. Her earthy eyes, became intense, letting Makie know she was serious. The brunette's childlike smile faded, her milk chocolate eyes both interested, but also scared and upset. Had she upset her new friend. Everything was over for her now. Soon, she'd have even more enemies, then she'd have to transfer some where else.

"Do not fall into jealousy Makie-chan. Jealously turns to greed, then to hate, and you will live in darkness..envious of all. Do not feed the darkness Makie..don't."

Makie paused for a second, a slow hand going over her heart. She did not wish to feed the darkness. She feared the darkness. It took her grandma away, it took her parents away, and by now, maybe even her grandpa too. She felt tears coming on, but she blocked them out as she recalled her fight with Dante. Her grandma's pendant was destroyed, and underneath her PJs, her kimono sleeves, on her bare legs, were several cuts, bruises, wounds, scars. You could also see a visible cut on her throat and a huge wound around her collar bone area. She felt so bad, recalling the fight, recalling her grandma.

"Makie, your powers are of great quality. Don't wish you had mine. Yours are truley unique. I love that about you."

Makie couldn't help but feel upset now. Her grandma said that a lot. That she loved her and her powers. Her grandma would often tell her that she had speical powers, and her special weapon was her heart. But the younger Makie would push her grandma away in embarassment. She felt so terrible now.

WIthout much thought, Makie rocked onto her knees into a hug. Just a soft hug. "I-I-I'm s-suh-sorry... I-I d-didn't m-mean t-to s-say t-th-that... I-I-I d-didn't m-mean t-to u-upset y-you a-and b-be jealous..." Makie whispered, inaudible to those not close enough to hear. "I-I'm s-so sorry." But Makie didn't cry even though she was crying fireworks of tears inside.

(Awkward... I can't answer you Kitten. Makie's in an Awkward position... Hold on...)

Kitten watched them talk thinking they did not see her. The Kitten saw the crystal ball levitate..."Amazing..." She whispered to herself. She watched them continue talking and she listened to what she was saying...Some how the other one knew what the other one was thinking.It was the same one who pulled the levitating trick. She had seen this once before..This girl had mind powers. Very interesting, but why doesn't she know I'm in the room if her mind powers are that great She thought. The other one just seems childish and thats much of an excuse for unawareness...But still that other girl. She tried to sort this all out in her head, but nothing made sense. What the!?!? She can sense what's in her heart too!!! Theres know way you could get that from someones brain! Extraordinary!!!,but she's still oblivious to my pressence. How strange... she continued to think silently to kepp her pressence hidden. Kittens eyes turned bug eyed at this girl...She couldn't solve this simple peoblem. She continued to think Maybe she knows I'm here, but doesn't want to annouce it...

Alyssa released Makie from the embrace at the exact time Makie did and gazed at her softly, her earthy brown eyes glittering with comfort. Makie was like a much younger sister to Alyssa now. She needed to be comforted and loved, that was all she ever wanted. Alyssa found it hard to keep Makie from crying, she had never shown much emotion toward anyone unless it was anger or hatred.

Makie was teaching Alyssa to be kind and considerate without knowing. Alyssa didn't realize it either, but her once cold heart was softening and for the first time since her father was murdered, felt needed. Alyssa sat and listened to Makie apologize, but she just shook her head with a swift motion. "Don't be sorry Makie, everyone has emotions...besides me..and you are a llowed to express them in any way you please." Alyssa replied sternly, her hair blew over her shoulder from an unkown wind in Ai's room. It gave Alyssa this mysterious beauty, and not being gorgeous, it was a nice change for Alyssa.

"Hello..Kitten...You're right I do know you're here but I'm slightly in the midst of something." Alyssa whispered into Kitten's mind, the whispy voice filled with annoyance and sarcasm. Alyssa did not like it when others were disrupting her own connections with others while they thought continuously on one certain thing. Something about her telepathy caused Alyssa to jump around to differnet people's minds. Giving her a blistering headache and much confusion. Her eyes fell upon Kitten for only a moment before she returned to comforting Makie.

"Makie dear, I know this is difficult..do not dwell on the past. Things happen and we must live to the fullest otherwise their deaths were insignificant." This gave off a hint that Alyssa knew what Makie was thinking about, and was pleading for her to stop.

Whatever Makie was thinking, Alyssa was replaying in her mind like a film and it was beginning to take a toll on her. Though Alyssa was part vampire, seeing Makie's parents dead on the floor made her stomach sick.

( Alyssa-mama! >.< So now, Makie has two older sisters and a mama. XP Unless Alyssa wants to be an older sister instead. )

Makie listened to Alyssa, telling her not to be sorry. She wished she would not feel sorry, and she wished she wouldn't dwell on the past, but it just stuck there. That was when she said something that caught Makie off-guard. "--Everyone has emotions... Besides me...". Akie paused, wondering why Alyssa would say that. Every one has feelings, even demons had felings, they just don't show it. If you didn't have feelings, you probably wouldn't be alive. You probably wouldn't talk if you had emotions either. You'd just... Stand there doing nothing. But Alyssa had shown a serious side, a kind side, a playful side, and a comforting side, so... She obviously had emotions. However, to avoid any arguments, or some more serious moments, Makie kept her mouth shut, once again forgetting that Alyssa could read minds.

That's when Alyssa spoke again. This time, as if she was her mother. SHe wanted to cry again, but she smiled, remembering the one picture of her when she was three and her two parents, holding her up. The picture was in her fuzzy bag actually, she carried it around whenever she had a book bag, or something to carry things in, that way, whenever she was alone, she'd look at the picture, and smile.

Makie would show Alyssa the picture, but would it be alright? I mean, prehaps it might bring painful memories to the brunette's new friend. The small girl didn't want that, so maybe, one day, some time in the future, she might show her the picture. And Ai too, as well as Oliver. Misty already saw the picture, and so did Yuki. None of her few friends at Ria High have been to her dorm yet, so no one really saw it yet.

That's when some music went into her mind. It was a guy's voice. A manly guy. There was a guitar in the song, as well as the piano and drums. It seemed to be a catchy song. That's when Makie realized what song was playing in the background. It was the ever so handsome Teddy Geiger! Teddy Geiger and his hit song 'For You I Will' was a favorite of Makie's and Ai's, that's why she brought in the CD. She laughed while singing the lyrics with her childlike voice inside her head.

"Thank you Alyssa. N-Not a-a lot of p-people actually s-st-stay a-and talk to m-me..." Makie said, smiling brightly, enough to see the tips of her white teeth. A hint of sadness was hidden in her smile, but it disapeared when Ai began to talk. Her chocolate orbs, glanced over to Ai, who announced what they would do.

Makie though for a moment. SHe didn't like Truth or Dare, because she hated doing Truth because you have to reveal something, and so Makie pick Dare. Which resulted in weird, strange, and last sleepover, very dramatic things. However, it did seem like no one wanted to go, and Makie wanted Ai to have a good slumber party. But she didn't want to go first, however, there might be silence and no one would like to go first. Choices.. Choices...

"U-U-Ummmm... I-I'll g-go f-first i-if n-no o-one e-else wants t-to..." Her fragile voice said weakly. Her milk chocolate eyes staring down at the floor.

Tomoro slightly blushed, turning her head slightly to the left and down. Her sharp jawline framed her face perfectly, her silvery hair seeming to flow like a waterfall out of her black ribbon decorated with fragile white flowers. She seems so normal... but in reality, she's probably just like me.... Tomoro pondered over the million thoughts she wanted to ask Rivera; what was it like to control the elements? Was she born with those perfected powers, or did she have to tone them? Did anyone else in this room have powers like them? And she drew, as well! Was Rivera only skilled at drawing people, or did she draw everything in sight? Did she like oranges? What did she find attractive in a man? All of these thoughts came into Tomoro's head, and she tried to flush them out; it seemed like Rivera had more secrets than she did.

Meanwhile, the bird composed of water seemed to be singing in a rather high pitched tone, almost as if it were drowning. To be honest, it frightened Tomoro, even though she loved water with a passion; it was just one of those things that went with Earth. Perhaps this Rivera girl could be a friend. Tomoro looked up through her eyelids at the other girls casually chatting, eager to move towards the Truth or Dare game, just waiting to find out other people's secrets to seal away in her vault of a mind.

Tomoro glanced and nodded towards Misa, ushering her toward the game. "I'll be right there... Rivera is finishing up her sketch... she's so very talented." Her charcoal black T-shirt, extending past her arms and inscribed with daisies, seemed to hang about her in an angelic fashion. As if she was an angel. Perhaps a fallen one, but definitely not a regular angel. Tomoro never was very patient... and waiting to go to the game seemed to cause her to fidget around a bit.
