Michale had been looking around, randomly scanning the crowds...He thought he saw that one kid from yesterday...and he winced at his own recollection...the kid who had levelled him. He felt a rueful grin come to his features, when he saw a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye. He snarled, realizing it was Angel rising out of his seat, looking around. He grabbed hold of the boy's arm in a viselike grip, yanking him forcefully into his seat, his eyes absolutely livid.

"Angel..." he hissed, his fingers tightening to painful proportions on the boy's bicep. "Don't tell me you're actually looking for him. After what I just told you?"

Suddenly, an idea popped into his head, and he smirked at the boy.

"You must not value your friend's safety that much. You really want to see him get hurt, don't you?"

Angel yelped when Michale grabbed him. He really hadn't been expecting to be caught looking. Staring in slight fear the boy shrank in his seat under the others gaze. Wincing when the grip tightened on his arm he lowered his head wanting to hide in guilt. It was true Michale had just told him he was never to see Kazz again...he didn't think he meant it visually...

As soon as the words left Michale's mouth Keiran's eyes widened and his head shot up.
"No!" he half cried, then he quickly forced himself to sober up. The reaction would only make Michale angrier.
"I-I mean....N-no you don't...you don't have to...I...I'll stay away..." his gaze sank to his feet dangling just above the floor, his heart sinking into his stomach.

Just as Cyndir had expected, Renji took a swing at his best friend; nothing intended to do any damage or anything. But Cyndir knew him too well, and easily dodged the blow. Renji grumbled under his breath before glaring evilly at Sanzo. Mumbling something noncommital under his breath he dropped into his seat, crossing his arms. Damn, but he was bored already. He hoped this thing didn't take too long, he was starving to death.

"oi, Motoki, you sick or something?" Some kid with bushy blue hair and huge eyes was staring wide-eyed at Renji over the back of his seat. Narrowing his eyes Renji kicked the back of the seat. The kid gave a startled yelp then spun around to fce forward, leaning in to whisper to a friend.

"Baka," Renji grumbled testily. Damn, couldn't a guy just roll out of bed and go about his day anymore?

Kazuma's face was bright red with fury as he forced himself to sit down again. Even as he did so, his legs twitched anxiously. He couldn't just sit here. He should go over there and snatch Keiran away... he wouldn't dare try anything with the majority of the Matrimony staff beginning to fill the front rows. That's exactly what he'd do. Kazz jumped to his feet once more.

"Take your seat, please."

Kazz turned around to see an unfamiliar teacher smiling up at him cheerfully. Either she was a substitute, or he didn't attend her class. he bowed his head to her respectfully.

"Gomenesai, sensei. I'm just going to get my fr---"

"I said take your seat, please. This is perfectlt servicable, ne? The assembly is about to begin."

"Hai. I just----

"I said sit!" The sweet facade cracked just as a jolt of electricity course through Kazz's nervous systme. His teeth clenched as he jerked, the students in his immediate vicinity falling silent. With a furious glare Kazz finally sat back down. As the young woman returned the remote to her pocket she smiled at Kazz again. "Arigato!"

"Students? Students? Your attention, onegai. Everyone take your seatts at once and quiet down. The doors will now be closed, and any student who arrives thereafter will be disciplined severely." The boisterous young woman behind the podium waved a hand, and the school security guards proceeded to close all auditorium doors.

"I am your Dean, Jun Yuromeshi. Ohayoo!" She gave a friendly wave, overly cheerful for such an early hour. "So, without further delay, I am happy to present to you Headmistress Otama Histaguya!" Jun stepped away from the microphrone applauding the approaching woman as she quickly scurried off stage, down the stair, and took a seat with the rest of the faculty.

=====> from Elizabeth's room

Akimoto snuck into the auditorium as Jun began to introduce the headmistress. When she took her seat in the front row, he noticed she had left the aisle seat open, as if she expected him to sit there.

Akimoto walked over and sat next to Jun. "Nice intro Jun-chan. I see you can still hush a room like no other." He smiled at her and turned his attention back to the stage, awaiting the headmistress to speak.

Raven looked over at Sachiko and smiled . "Just...feeling out of place." She said quietly and blushed. "There's so many couples and cliques, that I don't really know where I would fit in. Your nice, very nice, but soon you won't have time for much of anyone but Ariko kun...I don't want to be in the way, or a burden." She said softly, then looked straight ahead as a woman began to talk on stage.

Perhaps she could try and figure out a way to escape...or at least get the collar off.... She was pretty good at science... It would take a bit but she could do it..she hoped.

Cyndir yelped as he was yanked into his seat by his pants, and a blush colored his cheeks.

"Oh, you...you don't have to, Zo-kun..." he started. "I-I just thought...I thought maybe...I was just curious..." he decided to shut up before he made himself look like an idiot...Not that he wasn't doing so already.

Fortunately, he was saved when Dean Yuromeshi came on stage, and began to speak. No one with half a brain would dare speak when she did...or worse yet...And Cyndir couldn't supress the shudder of fear...Headmistress Hitsuguya.

---

Nyas grinned at the two smaller girls. Well, it wasn't the same as her old crew...but hell, it might be fun to have a younger troupe. She chuckled to herself as they took their seats and the lights dimmed. A young woman appeared on the stage and introduced herself as the dean. The hell? Nyas sat up straight, her eyes wide. A cheery gal like her? She rolled her eyes and sat back in her seat. If that was the dean, then what would the Headmistress look like? The Easter Bunny? Nyas felt like she had just stepped into the twilight zone.

---

Michale snorted, a smile on his face of the sort that would make even a killer flinch.

"That's a good boy, Angel." he said, brushing his thumb along the boy's jaw. He turned away, looking up to the dean. This had better be quick....

Kimi wasn't even paying attention to where she was going. She did not enjoy being shocked, all the less for the rarity of its occurance. She did not get into trouble, and she was a punctual student.

Suddenly, the clasp on her bookbag unclipped, and she turned her head and reached back to try and prevent dropping her books. All the while, she kept running...until...

"OOMPH!"

She collided with something solid, and she saw a flash of blue before she fell flat on her rear, dropping her bag, the contents spilling onto the floor. She sat there, stunned for a moment, just as the doors closed behind her. Well...if nothing else, at least she made it.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. "Good morning students. As I'm sure you all know, I am your Headmistress, Otama hitsuguya." The woman folded her hands primly upon the podium as she began to adress the student body. "Let us get this thing under way, hsall we?"

"As I am sure you are all aware, classes were cancelled yesterday due to a malfunction in in the generator in the Academic Building. What some of you may not know is that this was no mere coincidence but a deliberate act of anarchistic vandalism!" The woman seemed to grow a foot as she stiffened behind the podium and her cold blue eyes were hidden behind the glare of her eyeglass lenses. "Such behaior will not be tolerated at Midori-Kaizen...not now, not ever. An example must be made, for all to learn from..."

The clicking of the woman's high heels against the polished wooden floor of the stage echoed loudly throught the silent auditorium. As she stepped out from behind the podium, taking the microphone with her, she raised her hand displaying the remote she held in hand. She couldn't suppress the thin smile that came to her lips at the small ruckus that caused, but she gave a withering glare that made the frightened students fall silent.

"First things first.... mass disciplinary action. All of you must be made aware that when something of such magnitude occurs that it disrupts a whole day....all are held accountable. There are those that heard things, but held their tongues. There are those who conspired and as of now may remain undiscovered. . As such... the time has come for the universal code."

Holding the remote close, she riddled out a comination of numbers on the keypad. As she lifted her gaze to her audience a small yellow light lit up on every active collar in Midori Boarding School, whether the student was excused or not. Universal Code activate, a not so mild jolt was adminstered to every student.

"Silence!" Otama bellowed. "that was little more than a slap on the wrist. I fear some of you grow too comfortable, forgetting about those collars round your neck. I advise against that. Now.... some of you students are relatively new here. As such, I think many of you may be under the incorrect assumption that that little tickle you received just now is the worst that can happen to you. That is the cause for this assembly. To show that it is not..."

The woman returned to the podium and looked at the notecards she had left sitting there. Two names were listed there, written in her elegant scrawl. She picked up the notecards, training her ice blue eyes on the studen body once more.

"A few forthright students have stepped forward and delivered the names of a couple students whoo felt they were clever enough to commit such an act against this institution. Those students have my thanks, you know who you are, and you have my thanks. After conducting a small investigation, we are more than satisfied with the results."

"Sydnie Akimoto, Inari O'Connel...please come to the stage, at once." The was a soft rumble as students began to murmer, and the boy and girl slowly made their way up to the stage, faces pale with apprehension.

Sydnie rose and slowly made his way to the stage. Who the heck had said he did this?! The only thing he knew how to work over was someones body, not a god damned computer! IF they so much as zapped him for this....oh hey there was renji...Syd winked, always one to never fully comprehend a moment. He saw another cute boy, one he had a previous encounter with, and the boy tried to give him a reassuring glance, but sydnie shook his head signalling that it would be all right. He continued up the stage and stood there, the look of confusion purly noticable upon his face.

Yoku sitted back on his seat again.
Although the jolt was mild, he didn't see it coming and nearly fell towards the ground.
As Otama said the names of the two "possible" culprits memeories of Yoku's past flashed in front of his eyes...

"Nr 6, the next name is Girai Shikurai" A man with his face covered in the shadows said to him.
"W..What did he do...sir?" He answered as he layed on his bed, his eyes looking down.
"Nr 6! There is no need for you to know their actions. The only thing you have to know is when and where you will kill youre targets!" The man said, starting to get angry.
"They are just names to you! Understand!" He continued.
Then he snapped back to reality as the two students slowly walked towards the stage

"There...just...names..." He murmered slightly.

"Hello there, Sydnie..... you seem a bit confused, dear. You really have no idea why I called you up here have you? I'm sure Inari does....don't you Inari?" The headmistress pointed the remote at the teenaged girl, and quickly riddled out a code known only by herself. The light that had flashed earlier in the center of the collar lit one more, but this time it glowed red.

"Troublemakers will not be tolerated in my school." the woman replied simply as the girl's eyes grew wide, her hands clutching at the silver collar round her neck. Otama imagined those needles stung quite a bit, especially in the neck. She returned her attention to her audience.

"And as you all know, those lovely collars around your neck are more than just a fashion forward accessory, more than a device used to administer shocks, more than a means of keeping track of your location. They also link your life to another students. That is how we've acquired that quaint little nickname of Matrimony. Soooo... it stands to reason if young Miss Inari's collar has been activated....her mate's will be shortly, as well. Now....who might her spouse be. WHo, who, who?" She turned to smile warmly at Sydnie. "Any idea who that person might be, Sydnie? care to venture a guess? Don't be shy..."

Elizabeth jumped, forgetting that she was cold. She hit her head against the back of the chair, making her cut bleed again. "God damnit," she muttered under her breath "It was starting to heal!" She reached her hand up to her head and touched the sticky blood there. Watching the scene unfolding on the stage, her jaw dropped and tears filled her eyes. She bit her hand to keep from crying, and wiped her eyes with the back of her other hand. I can't believe...they're actually.....expelling someone...

Renji jerked as his collar administered a none too gentle shocking, his hands clenching the armrests of his seat. He sat up straighter in his chair, a scowl on his face. Well, if he wasn't fully awake before, he was now. What a b***h! Renji knew she got off on havng so much power over their lives. He hated her and everything about her.

He was still pondering how much he despised the Headmistress when he heard the familiar name called. His eyes grew wide as he scanned the student, looking for Sydnie. First he saw the blonde girl stand, then Sydnie, and they both made their way to the stage. Oi, but he had a bad feeling about this. Seeing Sydnie go up to the stage, his usual casual self Renji wanted to tell him to run, not to go near that viper-woman. Nothing good would come of it.

Reiku raised his head off his lap, his body still trembling from the current that had course throught him. He had a very low tolerance for pain, which ws why he tried to avoid shocking at all costs. He felt even worse as he realized that just going by the Headmistress' words, Michael had probaly received one too.

As headmistress Hitsaguya called out two names he gave a frown...one of those name sounded oddly familiar. he looked around and gasped in surprise seeing the girl he had met in the Library the other day. What could she have done already? Surely she had nothing to do with the generator malfunction, right? Well...he really didn't know anythng about her, now did he?

Miko gave a startled yelp grabbing her collar as she was shocked at a stronger setting than she was used to. With a pout she drew her knees up to her chest, resting her chin atop them. She didn't even do anything. That mean old, b***h. SHe was just looking for any reason to shock them.

"Oh no! She's expelling that girl," Miko exclaimed in alarm, er hand going automatically to her own collar as the headmistress made mention of Inari's "spouse". SHe knew the odds of being Inari's mate was slim...she'd never even seen that girl before. She had to be new...still, the fear lingered. Her fear changed focus as hitsaguya began baiting Sydnie. She clutched Nyas' arm with terror.

Two shockings in less than 10 minutes? Kazz could not believe his luck. Could his day possibly get any better? It didn't seem very likely at all. He didn't know the girl that climbed on stage, but he had a vague recollection of the Akimoto boy. He hit on him a time or two in the pass, obviously the flirtatous sort, but nothing had ever developed between the two of them. He was a nice enough guy, all in all.

He cringed as the red light illuminated within Inari's collar, and a hand went to his neck. He closed his violet eyes. This wasn't something he wanted to see.
PostPosted: Thu May 25, 2006 3:19 pm

Sydnie turned his eyes to the girl beside him. No one in the audiance could...but he heard it...the faint metalic click as the pins shot out of the collar, into Inari's neck...the poison quickly injected and he watched as she grasped her neck helplessly and slumped to the floor unable to keep herself on the chair. His eyes were obviously filled with fright. He had never actually seen anyone die before. The woman spoke and the words barely made it to his ears until she mentioned the mate. Who would it be......the reason he was called up. His eyes snapped up to her and he stood, the chair falling out from behind.
"You can't! I- I didn't...I didn't do anything! I don't even know her!" his eyes frantically scanned the crowed and the room, his mind stuck in a tunnel. He couldn't die! He wasn't ready to...why...what...what was he going to do?
