Jamaa walked proudly behind the little hyena as they traversed the Pridelands into the south. THe hyena looked confident as he walked tall as he led the larger canine.
He'll grow up as a strong hyena. He thought to himself, Jamaa just hope Jamaa stays on his good side. He mused.
"So do you know exactly where you are going?''

"Of course I do, I remember that Pagao and I went there after hunting a zebra, it was in a big herd and so there should be a trampled bit of land, then we walked toward a big tree, and there is probably at least one bone at the base of it." Explained Yakuti, he could never forget the day he went on his first successful hunt, let alone where Pagao and himself had stopped to rest.

"Wanna race there?"
he grinned down at him, "Come on, you know where the place is and Jamaa doesn't, it's fair." Jamaa was now being just Jamaa.

"I'm not so fast, but I do know the way, you're right..." he pondered this for a moment before saying "Alright, ready, set, GO!" He took off running as fast as he could, it wasn't that far, so he could most likely sprint the whole way, even so, his sprint wasn't that fast, Pagao had told him he needed to practice running to get faster, and this was a great opportunity.

To make it slightly fair, Jamaa trotted only a few paces in front of the hyena, concealing his true intentions hidden as he watched the hyena trying to beat him.
"Oh come on, you can do better than that. " he taunted trying to get the hyena to run faster. "If Jamaa beat you, Jamaa is gonna leave you alone when you get in trouble!" though he didn't know what he was going to do if he really did win.

Yakuti sped up, Jamaa had a strange way of modivation, enough to make him go faster, yet still playfull "Awww, you wouldn't leave little ol me!" Yakuti panted "You just like me too much!" he said, jumping over a small log as he ran towards the tree.

Jamaa playflly nipped at the little hyena just as he passed. "Oh come on, you don't want to leave this ol' man behind do ya?" he replied. It wasn't often he gets to run around like this.
This whole entire thing was to avoid his clouded mind and this little hyena did just that.
Jamaa run just slightly to get a few paces ahead as he continued his strange motovation tatics, "Come on pup!"

Jamaa slowed to a trot as he watched the little bone-eater.
"You win." he said looking down at him. He looked around for the other Hyena that the little one mentioned, Pagao. What are they going to do now?

"Heh, anything for my favorite bone." said Yakuti, laying his bone down between his front paws. "I'll just wait here I guess" he said, sitting down as he returned to his bone. "There might still be some zebra leg here if you want some, but its probably kind of rotten." Yakuti added with a smile, as he ate a lot of rotting meat.

Jamaa's eye twitched as the words "rotten a bit" came from the Hyena.
"Nah, I can hunt. You just stay here. I won't take long." the brown dog turned around and went away for a quick hunt.

"Alright then" Yakuti said, he stood up and found the bit of rotting zebra leg, there was hardly any left, but he ate what there was before going back to his bone happily. After a bit, he grabbed his bone and wandered off into the general area to find Pagao.

Jamaa returned with his captured rabit to find that his little hyena friend had wandered off again.
"Great...." he sighed. "Well until we meet again, Yakuti." he dropped his catch and returned to his own pack, back to his family, leaving his catch for the first hyena he befriended that day.
