Hi Everyone! Today, I am going to talk to you about a great book called, “Because of Winn Dixie”.
India Opal Buloni (everyone calls her Opal) goes to the Winn-Dixie Grocery Store to get some food. That’s when she finds an ugly big stray dog at the store and keeps him as her pet. Her father (the preacher) is upset about his ex-wife, Gloria Dump is always lonely, Otis is upset about being in jail, almost everyone in the town is upset. One day, Mess Franny Block (the librarian) gives Amanda and Opal a Littmus Candy which was sweet but tasted like it had some sadness in it. Soon, Opal realizes that everyone has not only forgotten how to share their sadness, they have also forgotten how to share their joy. Then, Winn-Dixie helps to come up with a great idea to help everybody get to know each other more and share their joy.
Even though this book might not have any suspense or action, I love it! “Because of Winn-Dixie” is a great book because it teaches you life long lessons about friendship and I DO NOT KNOW NOW????????????? I really like how all of the characters in this book are different and have different personalities. THINK OF AUTHORS STYLE?????? FIND A FAVORITE PART?????????
I think that the author is trying to tell everyone to not worry about your problems your whole life and move on and be happy.
