We got new dresses this year. I haven't seen them yet. Last year, we had red wine colored dresses with a lacey necklece thing and white or creme colored shoes. The guys still have to wear tuxedos this year though.

Well, as I'm in a new choir, we of course have new uniforms. So, I now have to track down a black skirt and a white blouse. The school will provide all the scottish regalia to go over it. xd the fun of going to a scottish heritage school. We're petitioning Dr. McConnell to have the guys wear kilts.

AriaStarSong the fun of going to a scottish heritage school. We're petitioning Dr. McConnell to have the guys wear kilts. xd We have no uniforms. The men wear black suits, the women wear all black. And everyone has a broche or tie or hair-ribbon or something in another colour, red for christmas and usually green for the summer concert.

Our choir uniform is a white shirt, black skirt or trousers, black tights, black shoes and the school tie buttoned up to the neck. We're not allowed to wear our jumpers either, which sucks cause the theatre's very cold. Actually, we're really just wearing our school uniform with the regulations actually being enforced xp

The girls always complain about our uniforms. I'd prefer them over some of the uniforms I've seen... I'd really hate to wear choir robes...
But the girls have to wear black, floor lenth dresses, with gold square stitching across the top. Everyone complains about the poofy sleeves... ya, they can be annoying, but they come in handy when you need to store some chapstick or something when you don't have pockets. 3nodding
The boys have to wear tuxedos. Black slacks, white shirts, black over coat, and black bow tie.
I'm really glad we don't have to wear what the middle schools have to wear... *shudders* At the middle school I went to... we had to wear black skirts, and a white long sleeved collared shirt, with blue cummerbuns(sp?) and blue bow ties... gah... and of what I hear from people who went to the other middle school, they had to wear "blue showercurtains." lol. Either way, I'm glad I don't have those crappy uniforms anymore. whee

I don't know about the girls in our chorus, but for the guys, the seniors take a vote on the shirt and bowtie color. They pickes black tux shirt with a kelley green bowtie. They try not to repeat colors.

The girls have to wear: A white tux-like shirt Long black skirt that goes to your ankles and is so unstretachable it's hard to even take a step Black heels that hurt like hell
Boys: white tux shirt, black tux pants, black formal shoes
And we ALL have to wear shiny blue bowties
Our casual is this polo that has some blue and orange music notes in the corner and says C-Notes.

My school had just opened when I was in Chior we didn't have money to get uniforms we started out raising money for them. In the end, we found we needed equipment for our performances more than Uniforms. When we graduated we had extra money, so the next group got the benefit from that. gonk

Let's see... It kind of depends on the choir you're in. The guys all wear tuxes, and the girls wear black dresses with the most horrendous poofs you'd ever see.
And the jazz choir, men wear tuxes, girls wear black skirts, white buttondowns, nude hose, black shoes. O:

Mine changed alot, Freshman year we had to wear these rediculous black dresses that everybody hated. All the other years we had red and white Robes.

Well, this year, we have a green polo shirt that says "SMS Choirs," black pants and black shoes. Next year, when I`m in Concert Womens' Choir at the high school, I have no clue what the uniform will be.

I think that choir directors secretly compete to see whose choir can find the ugliest outfits. Our chorus stuff is okay, we just do concert black&white, but I also sing in the madrigal choir, and our gowns are awful. They're black, with a really shiny, tight-fitting top and then a matte bottom that bells out. They don't look good on any of us, except for the people who're built like sticks.
The concert we have coming up, though, (the senior night) is much more fun. We used to dress up like our favorite characters from musicals, but now we just wear springy clothes, as long as they follow the dress code.
