omfg.. lol. did anyone see that south park episode where they play WoW?

that was hilarious
"how do you kill someone who has no life?"
"total pwnage" *smash*

Ive wanted to play WoW but after Runescape took up most of my life (I kicked that habit after getting hacked twice and my friend got $300 stolen off of his credit card) and im not sure I want to take the risk of being addicted.
Ilike the principal of it, just wondering around and killing crap yadda yadda free environment and interaction between other players, that is cool.
I want to them to make a MMO out of star wars. Yes, I know about galaxies, and everyone said it wasnt what everyone anticipated. There are no giant climactic battles like I think would take place.
I want something more along the lines of a cross between halo, star wars battlefront, WoW, galaxies, and maybe the matrix (awesome jedi bullet time?)
WoW is a real MMO game, you actually coordinate your friends when you do those raid parties (or whatever you do when you go out to kill each other).
I have this constant idea that in the perfect star wars MMO you just do that surprised rganize yourselves into attack parties, defend and conquer the galaxy along with hundreds of other online players.
One day you could be riding around in one of those big a** empire"mother ships" and then some rebel bastards come out of hyperspace or something so you run down to the local battle station and man a gun or you go the nearest hanger, take a ship and start kicking a**!
Raids on a planet: your a clone trooper riding in one of those nifty dropships along with a bunch of other guys in other dropships. You plan to go into an enemy base, you can just run the dropships down and land on the ground for an assault there or you can frickin jump out of the ship, light up a "jetpack" or parachute and then stealthily glide down and start killing others left and right along with your clone buddies.
Even though Ive never played planetside I think it would be something like that, its all about giant coordinated battles that make MMO games interesting.

I've played it. I stopped because I dislike pay-per month games, and even though the game was fun, I can't be paying 10 bucks a month or more for a game that I can't run for more than 15 minutes without overheating my graphics card and crashing my computer.

You can now play free, but cannot rise above rank 6, I now compensate by pure skill sweatdrop But when I get a better computer ill go for the full version 3nodding

Yeah, I know about Reserves. However, even if it is free, why try to play a game that wrecks my computer, and only allows me to play in 4 minute bursts? If they ever resolve the white texture problem, I might go back.

Yeah, sounds like a bad deal to me. I don't have the same problem, my computer runs it fine, however the price does hurt my pockets a bit. I am having a lot of fun with it however, and don't see it as not worth it though.

I actually believe that Warhammer may have altered my view on how "good money" is spent though...
