Avari couldn't help but feel himself lifted up into the back body drop. He attempted to shift his body and land on his feet, but to no avail.
The hard canvas awaited, and Fusion arched his back as he hit it hard, wincing in pain.

There just aren't enough back body drops these days. Drako loves giving a little throwback here and there. Speaking of which, with Avari down, the Soaring Dragon would attempt a leaping knee drop across the forehead

The knee came crashing down, sending Avari sprawling across the ring in pain.
In his motion he rolled away, this time under the bottom rope, but still on the edge of the canvas.

Drako spots the positioning and clearly he's ready to turn things up a notch. he's here to gain his third World Heavyweight championship in WWFG, after all. With Avari on the edge of the the canvas, Drako charges in attempting a baseball slide dropkick to send him all the way to the floor

Not only did Drako knock him off the ring, but Avari was sent so hard across that he was rolled hard into the barriers. He cried out in pain and turned his body, gripping his shoulder momentarily.

Drako slides out onto the apron, sitting on the edge for the moment as he observes the damage he's done. Sliding off the apron, he approaches the champion and reaches down to pull him up. Inspiration strikes, as he'd aim to lift him as if for a suplex, then drop him sternum first across the barricade

Drako made his way over to Avari, with a fierce and wicked idea in mind. He dragged the Champion up to his feet and aimed for the suplex..
As he did so, Avari planted his feet and locked one leg into one of Drako's.
In a stalemate, he attempted to then push Drako into the ring apron!

it didn't occur to Drako to watch out for the ring apron. It doesn't move, after all. Unfortunately, Avari has enough awareness to block him, then ram him spine first into the ring apron, forcing the challenger to release him as he's pretty sure the ring edge hit him in his kidneys, leaving him leaning against the apron for support

At this point, the best and smartest move would be for Avari to take control and keep the pressure on.
But those few shots he took were hurting, at least temporarily, and he stepped back for a moment to nurse the wounds.
The ref began his count at this point.

Drako is at least aware that the count is going up. They are on the outside after all and this is a normal match. Leaning against the apron after the unexpected kidney shot, he's also attempting to catch his breath.

Avari was semi-aware of the count, but there was pressing matters. That was to get on the front foot and stay in control.
With Drako leaning due to the hit on the apron, Avari looked to grip him by his arm and whip him into the barriers opposite.

not the greatest distance but just enough to cause some more damage, as Drako finds himself whipped into the barricade. He hits spine first and sinks down some, still remaining somewhat vertical by holding onto the barricade itself

The ref's count was getting dangerously high, and Avari caught wind of that. He looked at the ref, the ring, then at Drako.
The Champion rolled into the ring, and it looked like the perfect opportunity to take the easy win here.. but that wasn't what the fans would have wanted, nor would that be what Avari Fusion was about.
He rolled out again, breaking the count. This time, he aimed to get Drako and pull him up, and roll him back into the ring.

Drako finds himself rolled back into the ring. Once he reaches the center, he starts trying to make his way to his feet again

Avari looks into the ring and sees Drako beginning to get up.
Instead of rolling in after him, he instead hopped up onto the ring apron. Readying himself, he would prepare to and attempt to jump up and use the ropes for a springboard forearm strike!
