Thud!

The moment Aile placed her hand on the ground she could detect a large seismic wave, no doubt created by something big.

Thud!

Again, another wave. With the second wave came more information, as its rough size. If she had to estimate it was-

Thud!

A third one. It was heavy, heavier than even Dagobah, a fair bit too. Not as much as a Steelix but certainly heavier than an Ursalu-

Thud!

There it was again, and with that wave she could confirm the distance and direction it was in. It was coming from the northwest end of the woods and a good ways away as well. It was moving rather slow and gauging from how the waves were getting weaker she could confirm it was moving away from them.

Reading the seismic waves anymore wouldn't grant her any additional information of sensing it leaving her range of 'feel'. If this what she was looking for she better get moving while she had the chance.

Aile would close her eye to allow herself the mental bandwidth to solely focus on the vibrations she was picking up. Large... Bigger than Dega. Heavier, at the very least. And... That way. Northwest. And starting to her fainter. s**t. "Dega, we have a direction. That way," she pointed, scrambling up the bear's back and sitting in a way she could easily get off. "And fast, they're moving away from us!" Dagobah nodded and started charging in the direction her trainer pointed, occasionally stopping to allow Aile down, just to make sure they were on the right track.

The two would follow the indicated direction, Dega charging through the mist, pushing it aside with her large form and trampling small plants in her path. They would keep going for awhile, the mist getting thicker and thicker as they did, now surrounded by the thick mist, barely able to see several feet in front of them. Eventually they would be forced to come to a stop as Aile no longer had a sense of where to go, requiring another seismic sense to deduce where to turn. A minute or two would pass as they were left in the quiet misty forest all along, with maybe Aile actually getting down to take another reading, however they would soon find out that was not needed.

"Urrr..." Growled something ahead of them in the mist. "Ursuuu..." It hissed again followed up by a ball of red light coming to life, floating further away in the mist. The next thing the both of them knew a beam of a red energy was fired out from the floating red orb of light, said beam slightly parting the mist as it rushed towards Dega, aiming to slam into the bear. They were being attacked, but by what? This damn mist was too thick.

Aile would get down when she could barely see her hand in front of her face, keeping a hand on Dega as she did. The channeler was about to reach down for another check when she heard the growling. The pair of them, actually, as they looked at each other when they heard it, then looked back at the glowing red orb ahead of them when the second growl was heard. This was it. The Bloodmoon Beast. As red as the moon in the sky before they were engulfed by the mist. "Arceus... s**t, Dega, dodge!" Aile and Dega would both jump in different directions, losing track of each other in the process. At least sound wasn't completely lost in this mist. And since there wasn't a good bead on where this beast was... "Dagobah, Earthquake!" She needed to buy time while she thought of ways to try to clear the mist. Crouching down as the bear began to stomp and, her mind would race, knowing she was working against time. If she had a fire type, maybe she could heat up the area, considering you didn't normally see mist in the warmth of daytime... But she didn't, so she was ruling it out. Maybe Tatooine could help, blow the mist away with a Sandstorm... She wanted to see how this shook out before trying the idea, though.

The ground would shake from Dagobah's impact, the Earthquake sending shock waves throughout the forest. The beast hidden in the mist and darkness would be on the receiving end of said Earthquake causing it to let loose a pained and angry roar in response, Aile able to see some of its swaying movement thanks to how the red orb in the mist moved but still couldn't exactly make out the form of the monster of the Timeless Woods. The Ground Channeler wouldn't be given much time to consider this however, let alone think too much on how to clear the mist as the beast went on the attack again.

"Lunaaa!" It roared again, indicating it would attack once more before the pair felt an impact against the ground. If Aile's tremor sense was active and if she was quick enough on the uptake she would realize this was no normal impact, sensing the rushing Ground energy moving through the ground and a second or two later an eruption of Ground energy came from the ground beneath Dagobah. It was a Earth Power, a very big one. Whatever was lurking in the mists was angry and was not holding back one bit.

Aile heard the cry and thought for a second. That… sounded familiar. Not terribly dissimilar to Dagobah’s cry. She hadn’t noticed it before, but it sounded close. But Ursalunas weren’t red that she knew of, anywhere on their bodies. Something was off, and they needed to find out what. And with this Pokemon on the attack… Like now, with the eruption of Ground Energy coming from underneath Dega. s**t! “Dega, look out!” The warning came out just too late, and the bear took the full brunt of the Earth Power this time. Aile couldn’t see the status of her Ursaluna, but hopefully she was still able to move. “Dagobah, if you're capable of movement, let me feel it.” She kept her eyes closed for a second as she focused on any movement, both for Dagobah and for their opponent, feeling specifically what seemed like the Ursaluna getting up. “Right.” Racking her thoughts for a second, she opened her eyes and looked at the glowing red orb in the mist. She really didn’t have any good ideas for the mist, but she needed to see her opposition. What they were dealing with. And, if they couldn’t clear the mist in an orderly fashion, the next best thing was…

“Dega, Headlong Rush!” Aile go up and ran as fast as she could once she sensed Dagobah moving, trying to intercept her and climb back on the bear’s back. It wasn’t elegant, but she did it without hindering her movement much, holding on for dear life as the pair charged for th orb. Contact or no, as long as they got close, that’s what they needed right then. A visual on what was attacking them.

Dagobah would rush headlong into the mist, aiming at the glowing red orb that was attacking them. The 'orb' would roar at them but didn't have time to attack as it was still recovering from its Earth Power and so the next thing the bear and trainer knew they were slamming into something very furry, their forward movement stopped. For a second they had time to consider what they hit; something with brown fur identical to Dagobah's with a single green eye (as far as they could see) just below the giant glowing circle on its head staring down at them angrily, a chill no doubt running down their spine as a Scary Face was intended to intimidate them.

"Ursaluuuun!" The towering hulk of a Pokemon would roar again as it grabbed a hold of Dagobah by its shoulders and with terrible might and swelling with Dark energy would actually lift the bear off the ground enough to fling it away off to the side with Payback. With the other bear thrown the bigger bear would slam down on the ground with its front paws, now on all fours, and let out another angrily roar. What in the world was this thing? Some kind of twisted Ursaluna? Whatever it was it was not happy with their presence. Fortunately for Aile though, and while the trip didn't feel too good to Dagobah, they didn't get thrown so far that they couldn't make out the other Ursaluna in the mists.

One thing was certain though, this thing had no intention of letting them get away without a fight. Then again, this is exactly what Aile was here for.

Aile felt the fur first before she saw it, and was still confused. It felt identical to Dega’s, and the color was damn close as well when she finally saw it. She thought that she could see some gray on its maw as well, not too dissimilar to the mud armor on her Ursaluna, but the heavy mist made it difficult to make that out. This was some weird a** Ursaluna, though. The sounds it made, the fur, the eye she could see, even the some of the chi she felt from this thing, it all pointed towards that. Her realization, along with the Scary Face, would definitely be enough to give them pause, more than enough time for the beast to lift them up and throw them. As they landed, with Dega letting out a pained yelp, Aile would be thrown off of her mount, rolling a bit further back. “Ugh. Dega?”

“Urruu,” the bear groaned, and Aile’s tremorsense told her that Dega was starting to get back onto her feet. She would hear a shaking coming from that direction as well, which told her that Dega was trying to get her head back into the game.

“Dega, try a Hammer Arm!” Aile would feel Dega running, with Aile herself following behind. She was patting down her jacket to make sure she had a ball, then took a look around her, making sure the mist wasn’t trying to fade or anything else. Time was of the essence, and she didn’t want to miss any chance.

Dega would swing its Hammer Arm into the side of the towering bear, the other 'Ursaluna', the other bear letting out a pained roar. It didn't end there though, the other Ursaluna wouldn't just take that blow without retaliation as it quick grabbed Ursaluna's arm/leg before it could withdraw it. With a grip on Dega it would take its free arm and slam into Dega's chest its own Hammer Arm, thrusting upward from below and following it up with a simply slam of its head.

"Lunaaa!" The beast would roar at the sky as it reared up in defiance, the mist pushing away from it in that moment as the red circle on its forehead began to glow brighter and brighter as it gathered energy. Now Aile could see the beast clearly, whether or not that was a good thing she was about to find out.

Dagobah would get her arm grabbed before she could return to the ground, getting caught on her own hind legs as the aberrant Ursaluna retaliated in kind, getting brought off of her feet before getting headbutted down to earth. The bear was struggling to get back up after that, and Aile would kneel down to check on her. “Dega? Dega, you alri-” The mists dissipating around them wasn’t a good sign, especially with that red glow. The woman’s eyes widened as she saw the full form of this mutant Ursaluna, with its full moon glowing red. She saw that it did actually have two eyes, but one had been taken over by the mud armor on its face, appearing black instead. It was missing some of the back fur frills dega had, and this one’s mud up there appeared to be trying to slide down. The hind legs looked normal, but the front arms had next to nothing left. What the hell happened to this bear to make it like this?!

Without much forethought, Aile would run to stand in front of Dagobah, putting her arms out as if they would do anything. “Stop! You win! You’re the better Ursaluna! How about we stop fighting and find our way out of here now?” She was doing her best to keep calm, but she was staring down the barrel of a cannon right now, and she wasn’t sure if it was going to stop. “I don’t want to be stuck here any longer than needed, and you, I don’t know how long you’ve been in here. But if you want to come with me, I’ll do my damnedest to get us out.” Reaching into her pocket with her right arm, she’d pull out a wooden Pokéball, green on top with four red teardrops and one golden circle breaking them up into groups of two. Provided she wasn’t already blasted into oblivion, she would take off her bag and grab out some of the food she brought for her Pokémon, laying it out between the two of them. “Here. I don’t know how food is when you’re stuck here. Please. I’m not meaning ill.” Finally, she would hold out the Friend Ball in her hand, offering it for the standing Ursaluna to get into. Aile would still be on edge as she realized how stupid she was acting. She probably should have brought out another Pokémon, but she was committed to this path. How was this going to play out?

The mutant Ursaluna took pause as Aile jumped in front of her Pokemon, taken aback by the gesture, putting herself in harm's way for her Pokemon. The Pokemon would eye the conjured up Pokeball and growl a bit, suspicious of the strange thing only to have its attention immediately diverted to the food Aile had put on the ground. Hesitantly it lowered to the ground, getting on all fours and looking from the food to Aile and back, eventually ceasing all growling and just beginning to start partaking in the morsels she had put on the ground. The Ground Channeler's gamble paid off it looks like, maybe now was a good time to capture it.

Crash!

A bolt of lightning would slam down onto the ground several yards away from Aile and the two bears, the bolt generating a bright flash of light and a booming sound. The forecast most certainly didn't call for rain and there was barely any clouds in the sky tonight so what gives?

Aile would only be given a second to consider what was going on, the mutant Ursaluna too as it whipped around and roared in the direction the bolt of lightning struck. The next thing they all knew an expanding dome of energy rapidly spread outward, consuming all three of them with them now finding themselves inside something familiar to Aile; a space-time distortion.

The mutant Ursaluna didn't look too surprised, in fact it mostly seemed on guard as it quickly scanned the area in all directions, as if it were waiting for something. Had it been through this before?

"Breon!" A voice cried out from the darkness as a very large Umbreon with blazing red eyes came charging at the mutant Ursaluna, slamming into its gut with a Quick Attack, the bear caught completely off guard as it recoiled and hunched over grabbing its stomach in pain. With the bear distracted the strange Umbreon began to prepare a second attack as it charged up a ball of Dark energy in its mouth preparing to blast the mutant Ursaluna with Dark Pulse.
PostPosted: Mon May 12, 2025 11:37 am

Aile would let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding when the Ursaluna went to the ground and started eating. She was about ready to toss the ball to see about capturing the bear when lightning struck nearby. “What?” She was pretty sure it was a clear sky when she entered the forest… She shielded her eyes with her arm as fast as she could, with the earth-shattering kaboom afterwards coming way too fast for her to cover those up. Instead, she’d get a ringing in her ears momentarily. Her eyes widened, though, when she saw what was coming and swallowed them. And once they were in the energy dome, she was hit with waves of familiarity. “Oh. My. God. Here? Of all places?!” This must have been the light that the locals saw, not the red blasts from the Ursaluna. They needed to get out now before they were taken to who knows where, like her arm was back in Hisui. “Ursaluna, we need to get out of-” She turned to look at the mutant bear, who looked surprisingly not as shocked by this turn of events. And then the Umbreon coming from out of nowhere with the Quick Attack, taking the wind out of this bear’s sails. Glowing red eyes… Where had this one come from? Were there Pokémon like this back then?

Aile turned behind her to see Dega shakily standing on all four legs, with the trainer shaking her head. “You’ve done plenty, Dega, get some rest.” Recalling her own bog bear, she would not send out another Pokémon, but run forwards and swing her left arm, sending out some of the sand that made up that arm straight for the the Pokémon’s face. The glowing eyes certainly helped to give her a better target. “Hey! Bet you can’t hit me!” She would begin running, trying to go in a large semicircle around the Umbreon. “Ursaluna, think you can try one of those Blood Moon beams again to this Pokémon,” she’d ask while running. She wasn’t going to command it to do anything, but if they could get this Umbreon to back off so they could make a run for the edge, that would be great.

The Alpha Umbreon would recoil as some of the sand out in its eyes, the Pokemon flailing its head around and barking as it tried to shake the sand out and when that didn't work it lowered its head and began to paw at its face. This was their chance to do something, and thankfully for Aile she was going to through to the mutant Ursaluna.

Maybe it was the situation they were in, or maybe it was Aile's Channeling bond but the Ursaluna would look to Aile and give her a look that could also be read as confirmation of the order. The bear would turn back to the temporarily blinded Umbreon and let out a powerful roar as its 'moon' began to glow bright red. Perhaps thanks to having already built up some energy earlier the Ursaluna would almost immediately after fire off a devastating beam of red energy as it utilized Blood Moon, aiming directly down at the Dark type.

The beam of energy would slam into the Alpha Umbreon would incredible power, causing a large explosion of energy which sent the enemy Pokemon flying, instantly knocked out as it hit the ground unceremoniously. This bear was powerful. With its foe dealt with the Ursaluna would look up to the moon and roar victoriously. However Aile knew now wasn't the time to celebrate as she could see the walls of the dome crackling with energy, it wouldn't be long before more Pokemon suddenly appeared and attacked them and no doubt soon would the dome begin to shrink again, taking everything inside with it. They had to get out of here, now.
PostPosted: Tue May 13, 2025 6:30 pm

Aile would let out a sigh of relief as the Alpha Umbreon was sent packing from Blood Moon, pausing for a second as she watched the Umbreon land. Arceus, that really did pack a punch. Thank goodness that didn't hit her or Dagobah. "Nice job, Ursaluna!" She'd give a thumbs up to the bear, grinning widely.

The grin fell fast once she saw the crackling of energy, her gaze turning to the dome. "Time is of the essence. Ursaluna," she shouted, her head turning back to the bear. "We need to get out, now! If you don't want to figure out where you're going next, we need to get to the edge of the dome! This isn't the first time for me either, and I have a missing arm to prove it!" She showed her left arm, letting it shift into sand for a second before bringing it back, pointing toward where she assumed the edge was. "Let's get out of here!"

The Ursaluna looked to Aile and then looked around, growling softly as it did. The bear would turn back to Aile and growl at her as well, for a second appearing as if it would turn its wrath on the woman this time. Immediately the bear got on all fours and rushed Aile, this was it, it was going to attack her! Closer and closer it got until...

It would gently but firmly scoop Aile up with its head and toss her on its back, the bearing never ceasing its running as it bolted for the edge of the dome in the direction Aile had point. Faster and faster it moved, trying to get out of this dome. The dome however, as Aile knew, did not like to let its 'prey' go so easily as several Pokemon materialized around them, confused and angry and proceeding to attack the first thing they saw.

"Poryyy!" Cried a Porygon as it fired off a Psybeam at the bear, the Ursaluna caught off by the attack as it took the hit with a cry and stumbled to the side but tried to keep up the momentum.

"Liiiicki!" A Lickitung would also go on the attack at the same time as it lashed out with its tongue, slower than the Psybeam but with the intent to wrap around the bear's leg unless something got in its way.

"Qui-vaaa!" Also a Quilava would attack, firing off a Flamethrower in their direction.

Aile was going to need to help her unlikely ally if they were to get out of here in time.
