Lykos might have gotten his bell rung from the knee, because Ares is able to clip him from behind with a chopblock, taking him down to one knee

The chop block would connect!
A huge relief amount of relief filled Ares as it would set him up perfectly. All he needed to do was keep the momentum going for a bit longer.
Forcing himself back to his feet, Ares hit the ropes that Lykos was facing, and coming back full speed with the Warriors Knee (Shining Wizard)

Lykos is stuck on one knee, making him a prime target. The Warrior's Knee clocks him and for the first time knocks him on his back in the middle of the ring

Ares would feel the impact of his knee clocking the skull of Lykos. Wasting zero time once he hit the mat, Ares made sure the shoulders of the Dark Wolf were flat on the mat as he tried his best to hook both legs for the cover!

One...two.
Lykos powers his shoulder off the mat, not done yet. Rolling to the side, he forces himself to push through the pain in his leg to get back to a vertical base

A two count. Despite wishing it would have ended things, he was glad to get some progress. But just as soon as Lykos was down, he got up to his feet even faster.
Ares rolled to his stomach and got himself back up, but just barely before Lykos would find himself to a vertical base.
What the hell was this guy made out of?
Ares grabbed the shoulder of Lykos to turn the large man so he could throw a right to jaw of the opponent. Realizing he can't slow down, even if he was beginning to get tired from running the ropes as much as he has tonight.

On his feet, Lykos is forced around only to be hit right in the jaw. Deciding that was enough targeting his face and jaw, Lykos attempts to fire back with a quick uppercut to the jaw in retaliation

Another solid hit--
Ares Alexanders head would swing backwards, his jaw getting cracked with a nasty uppercut.
The smaller man would try to find a way back to his feet, flailing back slightly in search of the ropes.

satisfied with the force with which he'd slammed Ares to the mat, Lykos floats over and hooks the leg for a pin attempt of his own

1 2-
Right after the official slapped the mat for the two, the smaller man would muscle up the shoulder. Showing that, despite the nasty slam he just took, he was still in the fight.

Lykos gets to his feet after the kickout, more than willing to continue the fight. He reaches down to pull Ares up in a front facelock, aiming to lift and plant him with a quick vertical suplex

Ares would try to push the big man away, but the uppercut from earlier was still making it hard for him to move around effectively.
And getting ripped from the ground and planted directly back down again would not make it any easier. Getting slammed against the mat and immediately getting into a fetal position.

Lykos sits back up after nailing the suplex, looking down at Ares. That wasn't enough to keep him down. No, he needed more. Getting to his feet again, the Dark Wolf reaches down to grab Ares by the arm to pull him closer to the corner. Once there, he'd back up, then charge in and leap over him to the second rope, aiming to drop down with a version of the Vader Bomb
