She was laying on her side on the floor sobbing, partially because of the mounting stress from her abuse of wideye potions and everything that had been going on, but also because of what Seb had said. Suddenly she was scooped up off the floor and held against him. The blonde sniffled, her eyes rimmed in red as she looked up at him. Just a minute ago, he'd yelled at her to get off him and now he was cradling her on his lap. But he was apologizing, so clearly he hadn't meant what he'd said, and her sleep deprived brain had overreacted to it. Marni stepped in and helped them move back up to the bed. Alice wiped her nose on her sleeve, then dabbed her eyes on the other side. Miss Marni asked Seb about his nightmares and the blonde glanced over at him, wondering if he'd tell her the truth or deflect again. She sniffled again as she listened to Seb answer that they'd been going on for a while and that he hadn't slept in a few days. Her voice still a little hoarse, Alice chimed in, "It's been more than a few days. I wanted to brew some dreamless sleep potion, but if I got the ingredients out, I was afraid someone would notice." She could have easily asked Uncle Seamus to send her some though. After all, he was unknowingly supplying her the ingredients to keep up her stock of wideye potions so that she could stay awake for extremely long periods of time. Honestly, she hadn't sleep more than a few hours in almost the last two weeks. When she felt Seb's arm slip around her waist, she looked over at it, her face still reddish and puffy from crying. But she still laid her head against him and snuggled in.

Alice looked up at Sebastian when he said it was good that she hadn't brewed the potion, since it would have been wasted since he wouldn't have taken it. Blue eyes narrowed at him when he said that also wouldn't have taken the potion if it were offered by Miss Marni either. She scoffed and pushed up from her cuddled position. She was going to tell him that his plan of a dark room and a comfy bed clearly were not helping, since he was still lacking in sleep and having the terrible nightmares, but she stopped. She stopped because he tried to turn the attention to her and her use of the wideye potion to stay awake extra. With a "humph", she crossed her arms over her chest and angrily glared at her boyfriend. First he'd made her cry, now was he trying to piss her off? He knew why she was taking those potions. "I can sleep whenever I want to, Sebastian. It's really you we need to be worrying about," she snipped at him. Looking back to Miss Marni, she nodded and responded, "I do know, and that's why I wanted to tell you about Sebastian's sleep issues but I also didn't want to betray my boyfriend's trust by telling you without him." She emphasized those words at Seb, since he was doing just that by ratting on her for her use of the wideye. She was regulating it, after all, and still getting some sleep when she finished with her notes. "I know my limits and I do get sleep when I need it. But I'm not the one with a sleeping problem here. At least I'm not abusing caffeine or other addictive substances in order to handle my responsibilities." Not including one of her best friends, she could think of several other students in the past who'd gone to caffeinated drinks in order to handle the stresses of being overly active and managing N.E.W.T. classes.

She nodded when Miss Marni mentioned dosage, well aware of the fact that Sebastian would need a stronger dose of the potion the sleepier he was. She was also aware that she'd been having to brew her wideye potions stronger and stronger the more she'd been using them. When Sebastian commented that wideye potions were "totally not addictive", Alice humphed again and stuck her tongue out at him. Alice was not addicted to the wideye potions. She could stop them at any time! The blonde winced a little when Marni scolded them for arguing. Then she grinned when Marni said that she would put Seb in the ICU and force feed him the dreamless sleep potion if she had to. That grin faded immediately when Marni whipped around and turned on her. Her blue eyes went wide when Miss Marni said that she'd have some of Alice's responsibilities stripped if the blonde didn't stop taking the wideye potions and actually get some sleep. She couldn't do that.... could she? Alice's lip quivered when Marni said the first responsibility to go would be her working time in the Hospital Wing unless she got a full night sleep. Then she left them to decide on what they wanted to do while she went to put in a breakfast order.

Alice was still pretty mad at Seb and her arms were still crossed over her chest. Blue eyes wouldn't look over at him right now. Her eyes darted over for a moment when Seb flopped down on the bed, but then she returned them forward, still pretty ticked off. When he commented on that not working out well, Alice clicked her tongue in a "tch" sound. Well, duh! Seb had totally turned on her and ratted her out for her use of a potion to help her study! She hadn't told about his nightmares since he hadn't wanted to talk about it and he totally left her out to dry. She was practically fuming. His next words were an apology, but not one that he sounded wholly convinced that he had to make. "You totally hung me out to dry there," Alice said, her voice squeaky. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay, because you know I worry about you... and you just... threw me under the proverbial bus. I... I just..." She huffed out a heavy sigh, then uncrossed her arms to wipe away at the tears forming in her eyes. She was so overwhelmed with emotions right now that everything hurt in her body.

Her normally bright blue eyes were shaded a darker storm grey as her anger and frustration melded with her anxiety and stress. Alice was worried about losing her responsibilities but she also couldn't see how she could feasibly manage them without the extra time being conscious. Sebastian started speaking and Alice wanted to ignore him, but her strong love for the boy made her listen. He said that he hadn't wanted to hurt or upset her, then said, in different words, that he'd been worried about her. Her jaw, which had been locked in a grimace, softened and she uncrossed her arms. Her entire posture softened as well, especially when Seb said he'd intended to talk to her first, but the moon made him act out. When he said she was the most important thing in his life, tears welled in her eyes and then silently streaked down her cheeks. Letting out a little sigh, Alice turned to him and wrapped him in a loose hug, laying her head against him. "You were worried about me," she said in a quiet voice, sniffling a little. Still clinging to him, she added, "I can't blame you for that. I would have done the same thing." She remembered back in third year when she'd been so worried about Sebby that she'd yelled at Professor Clarke and gotten her only detention ever. Sniffling again, she quietly whispered, "I'm sorry too, Sebby. I shouldn't have overreacted. You're the best thing in my life too."
