Nuke pulled out the table only to feel a blunt force against his back, forcing him to drop the table down on the ground. He arched his back and winced, taking a few small steps forward.

With the table out of play for the moment, Lance took the opportunity to capitalise.
He attempted to grab Nuke's arm to turn him and whip him toward the steel ring steps.

Fusion was dragged back towards his feet, and quickly whipped hard on the outside. The momentum had him collide knee-first with the steel steps as he hurtled over, landing in a heap on the other side of the steps!

The mix of cheers and boos from the crowd at ringside was cut short as the sound of Nuke's impact as he was hurled into the stairs echoed through the arena.
Despite the circumstances, Lance was pleased to hear that he still had fans even after his long absence.
He looked down at the steel chair on the floor, before smiling and picking it up. Looking to the fans at ringside, he lifted the chair above his head, to the sound of cheers.
"HAWK! WIND! HAWK! WIND!"
Mirroring Nuke's action from earlier, he hit the chair against the ground, the crack of the steel against the mat cutting through the crowd noise.
He stalked round to the other side of the stairs where Nuke was sprawled after going over, and aimed a chair shot at the knee that had impacted against the steel.

Nuke was confused by the cheers of Lance's name as he looked around the arena.. but that confusion was quickly taken away with the shock and sheer pain of steel against his knee.
He rolled around on the mats crying out in pain, clutching that knee.
JR: "My gawd, Lance is gonna rip that knee completely off!"
King: "It might be a good idea for Nuke to tap out now!"

Seeing Nuke's expression turn rapidly from confusion to agony as the chair connected put a smile on Lance's face.
In a way, it was a shame that it had come to this.
But Nuke's time was over. Now, it was Lance's turn.
Lance raised the chair again, bringing it down and attempting another strike, targetting the injured knee.

Nuke maybe underestimated the sheer violent nature of Lance as the second strike connected, and thoughts rushed through his head of how the hell to get out of this dire situation.
Fusion cried out in pain and reached out instinctively, grabbing the ring apron and covering his face with it in pain. His arms clung to something as his lower body writhed around outside.

After the second strike connected and Nuke let out a cry of pain, Lance took a moment before raising the chair above his head again, and looking down at Nuke's knee. The response was mixed - with more boos, Nuke's fans making their voices heard as Lance beat down their hero.
JR - "Lance isn't holding anything back! He's swinging that chair like a man possessed! And against none other than his childhood friend!"
King - "I don't like that look on Lance's face JR! Whatever he's got planned, I dont think Nuke's gonna enjoy it!"
He lowered the chair, attempting to grab Nuke's leg and position it inside the steel chair.

Fans at ringside were getting worried, as there was no fight back from Lance locking up Nuke's leg inside the steel chair. It looked like this was going to be the end potentially, would Hawkwind end his career here?
Nuke was halfway under the ring apron as this happened.. as his leg was locked in place, Fusion swung the top part of his body out.. and swung a steel chair at the knee of Lance!

Lance felt a sharp pain as the chair connected with his knee. He hadn't seen what Nuke had been doing under the apron as he was focused on his own chair and Nuke's attack had caught him off guard.
He released his grip on the chair, still wrapped around Nuke's leg, and staggered back a few steps

Nuke breathed a deep sigh of relief as he unlocked his leg from the chair wrapped around it, pushing it to the side. He started to get to his feet but stumbled and had to catch himself against the steel steps.. those chair shots definitely did their job.
Fusion gritted his teeth and kept his eyes on Lance, wondering what he would do next.

Lance steadied himself after the chair shot to his knee as Nuke propped himself up on the steel steps.
Rather than give Nuke time to recover his bearings, Lance rushed at him, springing into the air the last second and aiming for a high knee with his other leg as his opponent pulled himself up.

This was clearly going to be a slobberknocker of a match, as Lance smacks Nuke again with a high knee!
Fusion is sent hard into the steps, shaking his head as he tries to regain his sense. He arches his back to try and relieve some of that instantaneous pain too!

As he stood up, Lance spotted the discarded steel chair not far from the ring steps.
Keeping his eyes on Fusion, he picked up the chair and took a few steps back, before darting forward and aiming a chair shot at Nuke that would sandwich him between the chair and the steps.

Nuke breathed in deep for a few moment as Lance took the opportunity to find another weapon. But, as Lance rushed in, Fusion quickly hopped up on to the ring apron leaving him nothing but steel on steel!
