= You Wish History Narrator: You Wish is one of the best SpongeBob Specials since its initial run in 2001 where it gave the audience to vote on the ending of the episode. The Special begins with Patchy the Pirate explaining about what's so Special about You Wish as its different than most SpongeBob Cartoons since you can vote for one of 3 Different Endings. There was a Special Phone Number and Nick website link to vote for the ending you want but only until after the majority of the episode and when he says to do so. He mentioned this so that children would cast their decisions when the time comes. After about 3/4ths of the Cartoon, a Red VOTE Sign appears as we see Patchy explaining that its time to choose Squidward, Patrick or SpongeBob's Ending then the Ending by the Winning vote is shown but first, we see the endings the viewers did not pick, starting with Patrick. After Patrick's Ending, we then see Squidward's Ending. Finally, we see the Winning Ending which turns out to be SpongeBob's Ending which is the ending that most people voted for & plays in reruns of Shanghaied as of current. There were scenes of Patrick & Squidward's Endings being the winners in English but they were originally aired in Spanish since it was SpongeBob who got the most votes, it makes sense that SpongeBob is so popular as a Nicktoon and Nickelodeon Mascot. Nowadays, the Entirety of the You Wish SpongeBob Special can be found on the SpongeBob First 100 Episodes DVD Set while Patchy's Pick can be found on the Sea Stories or Season 2 Set of SpongeBob.
