Salem wasted no time rolling off Trent once his trapped leg was free, adrenaline spiked for a second at how close that could've come to being bad, not even hearing the crowd's cheers through his hyper-focus. Trent was the more ground-oriented wrestler, though Salem could work on the mat, his style was always more flashy and strike oriented. Still, it made Salem take a second to catch his breath as he grabbed the middle rope with one arm, reaching out with the other to give Trent a thumbs up, a grin like the cat who ate the canary on his face.

Trent would have rolled to the ropes, using them to get himself back up to his feet. He would peer over at Salem as he got up and saw that his friend was throwing him a thumbs up and a grin. Trent would have to smile back as he did have him close a few times there. Once back on his feet completely, Trent would stare down Salem as it seems like he wanted to take this to the middle of the ring again.

The crowd started clapping with a steadily increasing tempo as Salem got back up and faced down Trent, the two old comrades not ready to quit or die! Seeing Trent gesturing for a lock-up, the crowd would cheer loudly as Salem approached to initiate a tie-up with his opponent!

The bait was taken. Guess Salem got a bit of rust as he let his guard down. As Salem came in for the lock up, Trent looked to send a big kick into the midsection of Salem

Salem took a kick to the gut and doubled over, surprised by the shift in attitude from Trent, his old friend taking a bit of a cheap shot that drew ire from the crowd! Stumbling a step back, Salem clenched at his abdomen, the wind momentarily knocked from him!

The crowd begins to boo as The Harris Twins and Omen make their way to the ringside area, watching the match.
JR: "What are those three goons doing out here?"
King: "Isn't it obvious?!
They were enjoying the match so much, they came for a closer view!"
JR: "You don't seriously believe that!
We know that Trent has sold-out to Cartwright!"

Omen and the Harris Twins split up and each took a corner of the ringside area effectively boxing Salem in.
King:"This is going to be great JR! Finally, Cart is going to be rid of that good for nothing Salem! Look! Look! No one is coming to help him!"
JR:"You may be right. Obviously this will he a death sentence for Salem."
As one of the Harris Twins went to get a weapon from ringside, the crowd roared as a hooded figure appeared out of the crowd.
King:"Wait a minute JR. Who is that???"
The Harris Twin was sent flying back with a wicked right hand as the figure removed his hood to reveal Erynys Reich, his face a mask of barely restrained rage As he jumped the barricade, he focused his attention on the three men and began to take them out one by one
JR:"Oh my God! Business is picking up again!!"

Ron Harris felt the wrath of this mysterious intruder, a punch to the face forcing him to back away and protect his right eye!
Don Harris tries to brawl with Erynys Reich, but Erynys soon gets the better of him and Irish Whips Don in to the barricade!
Omen, the slower but heaviest, tallest and strongest of the three men makes his way towards Erynys, unleashing clubbing blows towards him!

He felt the clubbing blows and he briefly paused as he turned his hate filled attention to Omen. He unleashed a series of rights and lefts, stunning the big man before he floored him with a spinning roundhouse kick to the jaw.

Salem was still reeling from the low blow, but something else now, too - Cartwright sending enforcers down the ramp to make sure he doesn't get the win! The audience hated even more on the owner's antics, anticipating a screw job! But just as it seemed dire, a sudden emergence from the crowd - a tall but fit looking Nordic athlete - started battering the trio and taking them down one by one! The crowd was lighting up again, the referee was gesturing to the four outside the ring for order, even Trent seemed distracted by the sudden bouts of interference!
Seeing his opportunity to get some payback, Salem would rear back up and low blow Trent, himself, as the ref and wrestler weren't looking, making his opponent double over into perfect position for a C.O.D.! Catching Trent's neck with a sit-out Cutter, the man sprung backwards and into the middle of the canvas, the impact startling the referee enough to notice the match again! Hurrying over, Salem quickly hooked a leg and laid back across Trent's shoulders, the crowd counting along!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
The audience ignited as the stunned Trent was caught by his own sneaky tactics, Salem sitting up and holding a fist high to the crowd as the referee raised his arm and helped him to his feet! Holding his gut a little, Salem was cheered on by the WWFG Faithful, but took a second to look back down at Trent, who was just processing what had happened.
"Is this who you are, now? This who you wanna be?" Salem questioned, before making his way out of the ring and up the ramp, celebrating with fans along the barricades as he made his way once more to the back, taking a last look at the bodies strewn about the ringside area, eyes meeting with his unexpected accomplice, and giving him a nod before ducking behind the curtain.
