I lock up my shop and venture out into the town... A female halfling guard named Herey Vinte runs up to me. She is searching for someone, a female elf who stole a holy relic from a temple. Herey says she'll pay me well to help look for this elf and describes her.
Laserie: Female Elf Craftsman, Neutral. Str 10, Dex 10, Con 11, Int 10, Wis 10, Cha 8. Laserie is tall and slender, with straight brown hair and narrow hazel eyes. She wears sturdy clothing and several pouches hang from her belt. Laserie lost her shadow to a hag.
Herey says she'll pay 800 dbs for our help. I ask, "our?" and realize she's addressing a large group of people who have gathered. She turns and hammers a large "WANTED" poster on a wall with a crude drawing of Laserie. People leave quickly to ready themselves to find this thief.
I return to my new home and continue renovations.

I think it may be rats, and I mutter something about getting a cat. Gripping my broom tight, and push the door open to the back, and and jump in, yelling at whoever- or whatever- is back there.
The thief that I just heard about leaps in the air and holds her arms up in defense. She begs me not to hurt her.
She tells me about how it was all a misunderstanding, she's not a bad person, and begs me not to turn her in.
I have to decide if I should let her hideout here or turn her in to the authorities.

Back at the town, a tall wizard's tower overlooks most of the area. Clouds of poisonous fumes begin pouring out from the wizard's tower, soon blanketing the buildings around it.

The guard laughs and walks away.
Kass runs into the nearest pub to ask for help there.

It hurt his pride a little to be taken pity on. Kass went and sat, staring bewildered. First the guards in the field, the poisonous cloud, and now he couldn't speak.

Upon seeing the darkened green cloud, Tima slams the door to the tavern shut and bars the door.
