Entering the thicket at a different location than where Harakan had gone in Ahmanet slipped into the shadows using them to her advantage. The woods wouldn't be easy to cut through, but she was used to dense thicket having trained around them. Ahmanet sheathing one of her blades, trying to reduce the amount the lightning might reflect careful to avoid making sound, she hoped it might look like she'd vanished to him.
Reaching to the ground Ahmanet picked up a rock and carried it in her free hand doing her best not to touch any of the trees lest they alert Harakan to her presence. Slipping through the woods staying off the path Harakan had tread she could see broken branches with her eyes adapted to the darker forest. Bright golden eyes peered through the darkness for a moment and she smiled.
After a moment she caught a glimpse of him nestled in the trees branches pulled back and he was ready to spring forward. Ahmanet blinked perhaps alerting him to the fact she was nearby if he saw her golden eyes in the dark wood. She slipped back out of sight and made her way around, as she approached she paused for a moment and tossed the rock between the trees in the opposite direction she was approaching.
