Another blast to the head that had the Eclipse falling back to the mat. In one’s eye, it seemed the champ was falling away from any advantages he once had. Yet he laid on the mat with a hand over his head with pained laughter leaving him, shades of how he was during the finals against Salem. Finding humor and enjoyment in the pain being inflicted on his own body.

rolling over after connecting, Drako still attempts to keep the pressure on, electing to go a bit old school and attempting to pull him up enough to lock in a reverse chin lock. a submission here is highly unlikely, but that isn't really the point when trying to wear down a champion the caliber of this one. But who knows? Drako could get lucky here

On one hand, the chin lock applied gave time for some of the pain to disperse. On the other hand, it was a resting hold that’ll allow Drako to recover while also slow draining the Eclipse. After a few seconds of laying, Lunar would look to adjust his body and begin trying to push himself up get them both off the ground and up on their feet.

Drako had figured the man wouldn't stay down, but he intends to make him worker for every inch of ground he gains, attempting to bear his weight down to make it that much harder for the champion to regain his footing, even as he slowly but surely forces them both to their feet

The weight bearing down on him, the pressure to just stand up? A fighting challenger that he had wished for during the tournament. How he had expected to be against an opponent of the past, instead had to be against a guy with nothing attached to his name. The comedic tragedy ... and now he must be tragedy toward Drako. Yes ... There were sins to pay. Once up to his feet. He would aim for a different sort of counter to free himself. A swift elbow to the gut while turning his body to grip the arm around his neck, he would look to sweep the leg of Drako with his free arm while twisting for a modified russian legsweep( Paige Turner)

Drako is caught with the elbow, not altogether unexpected. However, instead of a suplex, the Soaring Dragon finds himself caught in a modified russian legsweep, slamming him backwards to the mat. The change from the expected was enough to throw him off his game, leaving him clutching the back of his head after it struck the mat on impact

There the Eclipse laid as he used his opponent as a makeshift pillow while staring up at the ceiling. The momentum back in his favor for the time, he really had no time to waste. Rolling over, Lunar would throw one arm over the neck of Drako while grabbing his arm with his other hand to position and set up an anaconda vise
