Alizeh chuckled at the explanation her sister had to give. "Sorry, should have said that. The city won't vanish, it will still be there so the people are safe." She gave Elaxi a little sheepish look at her lack of explaining. Then she looked at Luleta.

"It's going to be a long trip. You heard Mata tell us that, right?" She wanted to make sure her sister understood that they would be sharing the small room for a while. The two of them would likely be out on deck more often than not though. It just worried her since she wasn't sure where Elaxi would want to be. Though she had a safe bet as to who the tiny girl would be clinging to the whole time.

Luleta grinned lightly. She could remember her first boat trip to see her aunts and cousins. It had been terrifying to see her home vanish into the distance. Now she knew better, and it felt nice to help another with their first trip.

"Yes. Mata made that very clear every time she talked to me about it. I know she didn't really want us to come.." She peeked down at Elaxi and gave the little hand a squeeze. The experience was going to be well worth the time though, as well as seeing the little one reunited with her family. "At least we're not going to Jauhar like Mata did. That would be a much longer trip than this will be."

Hearing that their mother didn't want them to come made her frown up at Luleta. "I-I'm sorry." Elaxi didn't want the girls to be in trouble or go against their mom. She just wanted to go home. She missed it.

She then focused on the docks so that she couldn't have to look at Ali or Lu. She didn't want to risk seeing them upset over having to take her home. Elaxi wasn't sure if they even wanted to travel. They hadn't complained yet but that didn't mean anything.
