Dreadnought Sly Merrimack ~I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster~   Is that even possible? Was all Merrimack could think in response to Eevee using Leaf Blade to counter Jury's Iron Tail. He barely had time to think about it though, because despite seeming surprised herself, Selene launched into her own Z-Move. "Jury, stay strong!" Umbreon braced himself, but the Dark-type didn't stand a chance against the All-Out Pummeling. Merrimack looked at his Umbreon, defeated on the ground, then back at Hibiscus. Just for an instant, he saw a red-eyed Aron standing in the Eevee's place. "Jury, Return." With the humiliation of that defeat fresh in his mind again, Merrimack lashed out as hard as he knew how: "Go, Executioner! Use Guillotine!" The Bisharp appeared from his Great Ball and, with a stoic expression on his face, struck Hibiscus with one wicked blow. ~I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun

ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 Selene was proud of how Hibiscus had beaten Jury this time. It was also the first time she had beaten him in battle as well. Selene saw how Sly was looking at Hibiscus. It was almost like how he was looking at Gajiru earlier... ' What had happened in Kalos for him to change?!? I want my friend back...' Selene thought before speaking to Hibiscus. "Wonderful job Hibiscus! I'm proud of you. Now to focus on battling Bisharp..." Selene began but before she could have her do a move, Executioner used Guillotine on Hibiscus. 'That was uncalled for! I know he's mad about that but still....' She thought before having the Eevee return to her Heal Ball.
"Amalthea, come on out!" Selene let out as she grabbed Amalthea's great ball to let her out. "Alright, let's go with Horn Drill." Selene said after Amalthea, her Galarian Rapidash came out of the ball. Selene was hoping that she could go ahead and take out Executioner with this move as it was similar to Guillotine.
Amalthea came out and looked over both Executioner and it's human partner. Once Selene gave the command to do Horn Drill, she lowered her horn and began charging towards the Bisharp, hoping not to miss her target.

Dreadnought Sly Merrimack ~I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster~ Defeating Gajiru had been satisfying, but defeating Hibiscus only made Merrimack more frustrated. What am I even doing? He wondered. And what is she doing? His thoughts shifted as Selene called for her Galarian Rapidash to use Horn Drill. "Another Guillotine, Executioner!" The Bisharp responded, charging at the Rapidash, poised to strike with his vicious blades. As the two Pokémon met each other, their moves connected. Both Pokémon were carried farther by their momentum, stopping a few feet past one another. Then the Rapidash collapsed, while Executioner rose to his feet. "You'll have to do a lot more training, if you want your Rapidash to beat Executioner with a One-Hit-KO move." Rapidash, it hit him. That was the Pokémon she wanted to go to Galar for in the first place. Another wave of emotion swept over him. More guilt - and more frustration. What am I even doing? ~I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun

ᕈREᕈΔRE ҒOR ΓROUBLE! MΔKE IΓ DOUBLE! ΓO ᕈROΓECΓ ΓĦE WORLD ҒROM DEVΔSΓΔΓIOṈ! ΓO UṈIΓE ΔLL ᕈEOᕈLES WIΓĦIṈ OUR ṈΔΓIOṈ! ΓO DEṈOUṈCE ΓĦE EVILS OҒ ΓRUΓĦ ΔṈD LOVE! ᙓᗪᙏᙀᑎᗪ TOᙖIᗩS ᕼᗩᖇᖇISOᑎ Inteleon followed Selene to where she was now, with Dreadnought Sly Merrimack. He knew his boss was hoping that the two wouldn't meet but things were interesting to say in the least between the two. He had a feeling Edmund will enjoy watching this video of the two interacting. The different emotions that Inteleon felt coming from them was intense... He was well hidden where he was at and no one would be able to see that he was there. Edmund was back inside the Rangers office now and was putting up some files away. He did wonder what was taking Selene so long to get back.' She must have come across Sly, and knowing him, he had challenged her to a duel. Question is, does he know yet that's she's a Ranger now? ' He thought before pulling out his cell phone to see that the male in question had sent him a text back.
'Ah, seems that he was looking for a possible fight.... Not surprising but at least he's not in uniform right now. So not a major issue to be concerned about as of yet. Should I send a text telling him who my partner is? I might have done it earlier.... Oh well, he'll find out from her soon enough if they have come across each other..' Edmund thought to himself as he checked through the the incoming e-mails related to Ranger work....

ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 Selene had hoped that Amalthea would be able to take out Executioner but it wasn't in the cards today. ' He's right on more training as usual but hers has been more for pokemon contests though.' Selene thought as Amalthea returned to her poke ball.. "Nice try Amalthea." Selene said to her before speaking back to Sly.
"True, yet this battle itself is training for my pokemon. They hadn't battled like this in a long time where it's straight up battle. Just like when we used to train during the island challenge together... You wouldn't let Elio challenge me to a battle unless he was able to beat you in a battle..." She said as she let out Seraphina, her shiny Braixen. Purple smoke appeared along with both pink and gold sparkles mixed in with the smoke. A slight smile appeared on her face as those memories came to the forefront of her mind....
Then she looked over at Sly, looking him over and taking in the current view of him. ' He's certainly gotten taller, that for sure. But his hair style makes him look even taller... I wished I was taller than my five feet and two inches...' Selene thought as she was trying not to think about how he had filled out since she last saw him.'I'm still a bit surprised that I was able to knock him down to the ground like I did... ' She thought to herself before turning her back to Sly and whispered a few things to Braixen before before closing the distance between her and Sly.
'I really shouldn't do what I'm thinking about doing...' Selene thought as she angled her head up so she could looked up into Sly's eyes. " I want to know what happened so I can understand why you didn't meet me as planned or try to. To have some closure I guess since you seemed to not want anything to do with me now." She said before looking away, taking a deep breath. "From the looks you gave both Gajiru and Hibiscus, I know something must have happened before we were supposed to meet and it still bothers you. I won't press you about it anymore but I'm always here if you need anything. My number is still the same from before." Selene said to him as she should just forget him as he wanted her out of his life apparently.
Then she gave the signal to Braixen to lift her up by using her Psychic move to lift her up where could look directly in Sly's eyes without craning her neck up due to their height difference."There was something I wanted to do before we had parted ways but I lost my nerve to do so back then. So I'm going to do so before I change my mind about it again." She said as there was a smidgen of of a blush on her face now, before leaning in to kiss him on the lips. Selene wasn't sure how he was going to react back, she was hoping he would kiss her back but knew that he might not. It was a tender and sweet kiss that Selene gave Sly. The question was, would she keep kissing him until he began kissing her back? Or would she stop the kiss before he could kiss her back? I must confess that I feel like a monster~ Is she going to use all her Pokémon? Merrimack wondered as Selene sent out Braixen. But rather than call an Attack, she started walking toward him, asking once again why he hadn't met her in Lumiose City, but this time it didn't come across as an accusation. Selene had clearly picked up that he'd been through something, even though she had no idea what. Merrimack didn't even have a chance to think about how to answer her before the small girl was lifted to his eye level by Braixen's Psychic and pressed her lips against his. Merrimack's hands moved almost reflexively, he put his hands on Selene's waist and - against every instinct and desire he had - pushed her away. "What are you doing!?" He exclaimed. "You were furious at me a minute ago!" ~I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun

Just forget him like he wants you to.... But I can't though, he was a major part of my past that I can't simply forget him. What he used to be....' Selene thought as she looked away from him before a sigh escaped her lips.
"I still am, you idiot." Selene said as her anger came back. "I'm still furious with how you left me in dust like you did.... " She said back to him, debating whether to slap him again.
But for why she kissed him.... She blushed slightly as she debated how to answer his question of why she kissed him. " As for the kiss I really can't explain... Yet I had wondered if I had kissed you on that day that we parted ways, would we still gone our separate ways? " She asked him, but knew it wasn't worth rehashing the what ifs. ' I tend to torture myself with the what ifs... Especially after he didn't show up that day...' She thought to herself before looking back into his eyes, wondering how he would respond to that question, if he choose to answer it...

That he could have had her back then. For what though? What did he have to offer her? Images flashed through his mind: Charizard, Aron, Sableye, Selene. "And trust me," he continued, "You're better off. Turns out I'm not some Knight on a Shiny Rapidash who's going be there to catch you when you fall." ~I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun

The both of them were on a roller coaster of emotions right now and was noticeable... "Did I ask you to be my Knight on a Shiny Rapidash who's going be there to catch me when I fall?!?!? I don't need you to be my Knight Sylvester." She said even though it was a lie... 'But I wanted you to be my Knight... Yet, that's not going to happen..' Selene thought as she looked away from him, both knowing that she did want him to be her knight... A sigh escaped her lips as she was tired of this emotional encounter with Sylvester.
Selene came close to slapping Sly after saying it was better that he wasn't her knight on a Shiny Rapidash to who's going be there to catch she when she falls. "You certainly weren't there when Team Rocket came after my shiny fennekin, Seraphina, during my first year in the Pokemon showcases. Morticia Monitor kept at it, trying to take her from me and then when Meloetta joined me, she wanted her as well. I saved Meloetta from being taken by the witch of woman. I hope that I never have to deal with or see Morticia Monitor ever again. Or anyone else from Team Rocket for that matter." She said to him, not knowing that Sylvester was indeed a part of Team Rocket now or that he was Monitor's partner........
Unexpectedly, Selene was being drawn away from Sly. She turned to look at Seraphina to see what she was up to. "What are you doing Seraphina?? Now put me down please." Seraphina had a slight smirk on her face and that wasn't a good sign as she was up to something. Before Selene could say anything else, she was thrown hard against Sylvester and both went falling to the ground....

I must confess that I feel like a monster~ For the second time this morning, Sylvester Merrimack found himself on the ground with Selene on top of him. And it was because another of Selene's Pokémon had assaulted him. All his pain and frustration was washed in a fresh wave of anger which all mixed together into a seething wrath. He wasn't playing around now. "Nature's Madness!" He declared, unceremoniously dumping Selene on the ground as he rolled over and rose to his feet. "What is wrong with your Pokémon!? Does that little daughter of a Ditto think this is funny!?" ~I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun

Selene let out at her Braixen, as pain consumed her right wrist that was sprained due to the fall.. She use the yelling to hide the fact that she was hurting from Sly. She had managed to wrap her right arm around Sly as they were falling and her wrist suffered from being landed on as it was between the ground and Sly when they landed. "Don't you dare talk to her that way!" Selene let out at Sly after managing to get up on her own with it being noticeable that her right wrist was injured.. 'Let's see how long this last....' Selene thought as she went back to where she had been standing earlier for battle and stared down at her Braixen for a bit. Seraphina looked away from her as she realized she had taken it too far...
Sylvester had insulted her pokemon again and she did notice that Executioner was still out. "Use Fire Spin!" She told Seraphina and hoping that it won't be noticeable to him that she was injured...

Dreadnought Sly Merrimack ~I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster~ What in Tapu Fini's mist is going on? Merrimack thought as Selene snapped at him and declared another attack. "Me!? You were cursing that little psycho too!" He answered her. Does she really intend to keep battling with that trouble maker? Merrimack wondered as he commanded his Bisharp, "Executioner, pin her down with Rock Tomb!"
Executioner spread his feet into a wide stance, trying to take aim at Braixen through the swirling vortex of flames around him. He swept his foot towards the Fire-type, causing sharp stones to jut up from the ground. Unfortunately with his vision obscured by the Fire Spin, Executioner misjudged the distance and the Rock Tomb came short of Seraphina. ~I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun

"Especially after that stunt she pulled, we're lucky neither of us was hurt!" What's up with Selene? I know she was angry, but she got really nasty all of a sudden. Merrimack thought, I really don't have time to worry about that now, I need to deal with that mischievous little Fox Pokémon before she can take advantage of that Sunny Day. "Executioner, Night Slash!" He commanded.
Bisharp charged at Braixen, cutting through the Fire Spin with his razor-edged blades.

Selene said as she ignored the throbbing pain in her right wrist. She didn't comment on the not getting hurt part as she had gotten hurt but hoping that she was hiding it well enough.'If Seraphina can hold out a little longer against Executioner, I'll still have her, Po and Cœur D'or to fight against Judge. This is the longest I lasted against Sly in battle like this....' She thought as she hoped that the Flamethrower will take Executioner out.
