She was moving. Why was she moving?

Maybe not here. He opened his mouth to protest that it would be fine, and that he had certainly done it before. There were a couple time is that his gardener had found him and nudged him awake, and he certainly hadn't died then. Hadn't died the couple of times that Luke found him either--

And then she made an accidental innuendo, and he did his best to hold tight onto his tongue. His instinct was to play with that and tease her for the unintentional wording, maybe lean into the accidental implication she was interested in him that way. But it never made his out of his lips because he wanted her to be comfortable, and instead he replied with, "Plenty, actually. If you ever want to have a purification project stay in luxury, I got you."

He stretched, let his bones crack, and practically slithered out of the tub. His glass was left to the side. He'd deal with that later-- "You feeling king bed or canopy bed? Both are nice for naps."

It sounded like he used them for naps a lot.

That would be accurate.

"Canopy it is, then."

He was sleepy--they both were--but he wasn't so sleepy that she was unable to lead him inside. And in turn, he was able to swap when he got inside to start leading her around the house. Mansion. Castle. It was the kind of thing that spoke to the amount of money he had, because they were able to go by a couple bedrooms before he got to the one that he intended.

He ignored the opulence, long since used to it.

The rooms themselves were not terribly opulent, but they certainly qualified as comfortable. He grinned once he led her into the room, gesturing widely at the bed. "Welcome to one of my favorite nap rooms."

Probably his favorite honestly. He had two rooms that he functionally treated as his bedroom, but this was the one he came to more often.

He flopped into the bed and waited for her to settle in well.

And with her curled up to him, he slept.
