While yesterday had stank, having lost out on several tickets for rabbits, today was a new day. The sight of other people with prizes was awesome, and even her little sister was walking away with something smaller. And she threw wide and just threw the ball into the backstop.
Okay, okay, deep breaths. Concentrate. This was the ball. Now was the time.
She picked up her last ball and concentrated before letting it fly towards the bottles.
Only for the ball to once again thunk into the backstop.
"Come on!" she yelled but then took a deep breath. Tomorrow, was another day.

Competition pumped blood through her veins as Giulia geared up for her second try. She had this. She was going to succeed at this. She was going to... "OH COME ON!" she yelled at the single, solitary bottle still standing. "You are right there, just FALL OVER!"

Okay. This was fine. Two more balls, to get a smaller prize. Inhaling deeply, Giulia chucked the first of the two 'cleanup' balls at the pins.

As her second cleanup ball took out the remaining pins, Giulia exhaled. Well. Maybe it wasn't a giant rabbit, but it was cute! She accepted a second small prize gracefully. It was smaller, but it was one more prize than her sister anyways. Quote: Day 2 Try 2 CLEANUP 8+5 SMALL PRIZE won

When her next attempt at taking out all of the pins failed miserably, Jada couldn't even be angry. She had a giant speckled bunny already, and if Giulia was so easily winning small backup prizes... surely Jada could do the same. Right?

Jada winced as her first ball barely knocked over anything. "Ick," she grumbled, "I hope I can do better with my next ball." Still, fixing the giant prize she had already won in her mind, Jada resolved not to be too disappointed...

At two small prizes compared to a large and a small prize, Giulia was feeling the pressure. That's why it was all the more infuriating to have the last bottle teeter, totter- and fall back into place straight and tall. "I HATE YOU!" she snarled at the bottle, ignoring the started vendor, "I hope a bird poops in you."

The pressure was on. And Jada whiffed. Still- this was fine. Two more balls. A cleanup round. All she had to do was not screw this up.
