I'd say she isn't
when I think goth I think of Peter Murphy, Siouxsie Sioux and Robert Smith.
When I think Ami Lee I think of like a Marilyn Manson.
Someone who just wears black eye make up and uses a lot of dark imagery.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Marilyn Manson, but I can't stand Evanessance.
Although she is very attractive, she looks nothing like Siouxsie.

She may not be goth, but I love her dresses and skirts and what not. I adore her, and who cares, shes beauitiful, she's talented, *shrugs* I'd do her. She's awesome in my opionon.

crimsonwhispers Yes, I think she is very much. Her music speaks that way if nothing else. Though her music shares some limited lyrical overlap with goth-rock, the actual music itself is not. And based singularly on that, there is no reason to believe that she is goth.

I'd say she is commercialized goth. I still really enjoy her music and while it is somewhat dark, it is missing something for me... maybe a originality I'm not sure. Although I am surprised as how many "goths" hate her and the group because she could be paving the way for more goth music to become mainstream, which means easier access and more concerts in more places.

an edgy, dark appeal, but sadly no. she is very cute, but not really goth. i can see where many have that misconception though.
