Walking with him holding onto her like that definitely slowed their pace, more so when his hands found their way to her hips. When he pulled back into him she fell easily into his embrace and turned her head just enough so that one bright, crimson eye was looking up at him.
Using her name so casually...It caught her off guard, causing her eyes to temporarily widen before her smile came across with a new sort of softness. There was no pretending anymore; no illusions or veils. He knew who she was, what she did, the lives she'd taken...and yet, Dovian still held her as if she were as precious as glass. This man was either the craziest b*****d she'd ever met or one of the purest and she didn't care to find out which.
She raised her hand to cover his, pressing his flesh against her collarbone as she raised up just enough to kiss him.

Seeing her look at him only made him smile at her. It was a half smile and really only made sense if one knew what he was thinking. At the moment he thought Adenah was gorgeous. His gaze moved from her face to the hand that she placed over his. Reflexively he moved his thumb along her skin in a light caress. When she lifted up to kiss him he brought his eyes back to hers. Ade would find a very willing partner as Dovian returned the kiss, his tongue gliding along her lips to ask for permission to turn it into something deeper. The hand that had remained on her hip moved, coming around so that his fingers splayed out over her belly and slowly went up while pushing her just a little bit more firmly against him.

The moment was so tender, especially in comparison with the rather bawdy way they'd been flirting at the bar. For a moment it was easy to forget they were still out in the street, locked in each other's arms like a pair of teenagers and it was only when her eyes caught the side of a building, just past the curve of Dovian's dreads that she even registered it.
Her mouth opened to him and Adenah let Dovian take the lead. She couldn't help the way her toes curled anymore than she could resist raising her leg and brushing her calf against his. She wanted to go further, really she did, but if she accepted anything else from him at that moment then what little remained of her restraint would be lost.
When she broke contact with him her breath was coming out in little heady pants. "If we don't get back to your place it won't be the guild we'll have to worry about..." The city guard might very well find them, locked and naked in some back alley...

With her permission given he turned the kiss into something worthy of leaving Ade panting. So when she pulled away it wasn't just her restraint that was fraying, it was Dovian's too. He knew she was right. If it had continued then things would have happened, either right there or possibly down a dark alley. Neither were an option. Not with Adenah. His head lowered a bit more so that he could place a few innocent kisses to her neck, more to give himself a second to calm down. Still he growled his agreement. "Can't help that my attention was grabbed." The hand that pressed against her abdomen slowly turned into a fist as he curled his fingers in, but the pressure that kept her pressed against him relaxed. "A gorgeous woman keeps distracting me." Dovi spoke as he brushed his lips down the side of her neck to her shoulder. Eventually he would lighten his hold on her so that she could step away from him and they could start walking again.

"Then maybe you should stop distracting her and do something about it." Adenah murmured. A shiver ran through her, but instead of acting on it the curvaceous assassin slowly pulled away from Dovian. She stayed close enough to hold onto his hand, but there was enough space between them now that she felt 'safe' enough that they might actually make it to his home.

How did she do that? Ade was likely the only one who could get Dovian to lose control, even for just a second, with words or actions. He seemed to forget to keep his walls up when she was around. It made her dangerous. And he liked it. Being told to do something about it just brought a smirk to his face. The space Adenah had thought she put between them was lost once again. This time by the blacksmith putting his arms in just the right spots to pick the curvy assassin up and carry her. "As you wish." He said simply, though he did lower his head so he could whisper into her ear as he started to walk. "Better not regret it." He took the back way toward his place to avoid any unwanted eyes.

Adenah couldn't help laughing a little bit. "Stop it." She pushed on him, but just enough to act teasing. In all reality it was just an excuse to put her hands on him again. When a simple touch turned into picking her up, however, the asssassin gave an excited squeal.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and cuddled up close. How he managed to lift her as if she weight little more than a child was beyond her.
"You know, once we do this, I might want more. I might just come back again and again-" Everytime she said the word 'again' Adenah punctuated the syllables by pressing her lips to his collarbone.

Her little squeal made his lips twitch into a self satisfied smile. Dovian didn't at all mind her wrapping her arms around his neck either, they would wind up there eventually, as well as other places. The kisses to his collarbone were distracting though, and he almost stumbled with the first one. A grunt of surprise leaving him as a response before he looked down at her. "And I am okay with giving you whatever attention you want. When you want." She had his complete attention almost since they first met and he saw no reason to stop giving it to her now.

"Is that so?" She murmured against his ear.
Neither one of them had stress free jobs so maybe this really would work out. They could play off this for a while, work out the kinks, and part ways whenever it got to be too much. She knew his connections, he knew hers and it just...clicked.
Though if she were honest it wasn't just about the convenience. Dovian was the first person in a long time to make her remember how fun it was just to be her.

Mhm.. Was the last verbal answer she was going to get. Dovian focused on getting the beautiful woman in his arms home to his place after that. He was familiar with the back way but he still wanted to make sure no one was paying attention to them or was following. Only when he had her safely inside his home would he even consider setting her back on her feet, though it was more likely that she would be put down on his bed.....
