Chibiru took a deep breath as he felt his ribs cave with the force of the Golem kicking him to the side. He rolled through the dirt, and his ribcage throbbed like it was on fire, though he knew nothing was broken. He could move without enormous pain--so if anything was broken...it wasn't broken enough. He ground his sharp teeth together as he clenched his jaw and faced back up to the foe. It seemed that these Golems were no joke after all...none of them were able to even get close to landing a strike on them...it was almost embarrassing. They were here to put on a show and already the people's cheers had turned into almost nervous mutterings. Perhaps Herra shouldn't have been sent in to warm up the crowd after all.
However, as Chibiru planned his next movements, there was a brilliant flash of light, and he was stunned for a moment as he watched Herra appear--everyone around them seeming to stop dead still. She made some nonsense talk about people not seeing and what he thought might have been some kind of reprimanding? The words that he did understand, however, were 'don't s**t yourself now'...and as the woman threw her fists with speed Chibiru could not even come close to tracking, the energy immediately began to course through his veins. He felt it like lava were replacing his own blood, and he growled out, snarling against the pain openly, but refusing to scream. It lasted a solid thirty seconds before the laughing Herra had vanished as fast as she had come...and something felt...absolutely different about his body. Chibiru flexed his sore muscles and he turned toward the Formling Alpha, analyzing it carefully before breathing out a long, focused breath and hopping from one foot to another. "Focus! You two can lay on each other later. Now is no time for drinking plans." He stated, an irritation to the Felis' voice, though it barely broke through. It was obvious he was the type who had been trained to focus on one thing, and one thing only: the success of his mission. People usually didn't like him...but that was the whole point. After his family left him for dead...he didn't have much reason to keep people close. "I'll keep swinging at this one, if you two can give me a hand. We can take it down quick, and then you can split off and take care of Otei, I can handle the second one here after we take down the first." He stated with a nod. An effective strategy was one where all combatants knew the plan, and all moved as one. Discord bred destruction in ones ranks.
Taking a sobering deep breath, he gathered all of the energies he could from inside his body--something his parents had called 'chi', but many more would call 'magic'. He focused the energy into his hands, and as soon as the energy gathered there, his Relics immediately reacted. The twin tantos sucked the energy up so fast that it felt like his body was empty, and all of the magic has been drawn to the blades. An eerie pale yellow glow hung around the blades as he blasted forward. His first strike brought the enchanted blade down hard toward the elbow-joint of the Alpha golem. But he caught himself as he pushed off the ground with his left foot, immediately after the strike, sending him launching into the air over the Golem's shoulder. It was then that he would swing his body around and let go of one of the Tantos, allowing the momentum to carry it like a whip as Chibiru attempted a distanced slash at the back of the Golem's neck.
Whatever Herra had done...he liked it.

As Locke sword swung he saw the futility of his attack, the golem had anticipated his movements and stuck back at him with it’s elbow. Before the impact Locke quickly brought up his sword to guard and popped his feet off the ground. The blow sent him flying almost a meter from his original striking position. These things were no joke Locke thought to himself If that thing hit me directly it would have done some damage. Locke barely had time to consider his next attack before a blue light caught the corner of his eye. One of the other golems was firing at him. His feet kicked the sand as he jumped over the blast rolling sideways, the heat from the attack singed his hairs as he landed on his knees back in the sand. Before he could do anything Locke heard Herra’s nonsense speak and as he turned to face her he was struck by her energy. The pain that shot through him felt excruciating but momentary. As the pain subsided it he felt the sensation replaced with that of great strength. Whatever Herra did changed something inside of him and cleared up his hangover. The ring on his hand began to glow and something resembling mist began to swirl inside of the clear gem. Chibiru’s shout snapped him out of his introspection. “I hear you Felis, let’s cut this guy down to size so we can make short work out of the others.” Locke assumed his fighting stance and redrew his short sword. He ducked low and dashed towards his opponent, the tips of his blades ran through the sand as he shot toward the enemy. He would not make this attack as obvious as his last. If I can’t hit the b*****d with one strike maybe I can hit him with a couple. Looks like we are back to just stabbing and slashing he thought .After Chibiru attacked Locke would follow up by aiming to slash both ankles aiming his blows from the outside in, regardless if his blows struck he would then be able to slash up and outwards towards the enemies joints located in the middle of the arm. If everything went according to plan he would finish up by crashing his cutlass and his short sword against the golems chest.
Just as Otei swung, the golem caught her broadsword with both hand-like appendages, thwarting her attack and ran past her. However, she saw Constance fly into action and Otei couldn't help but grin since assuredly a woman with such glorious scars would be the last person this golem would defeat.
"Get at it Constance!" Otei bellowed a rallying cry at her comrade.
Before Otei could do much else, a third golem closed the distance between them too quickly for Otei to bring up her sword in defense as she made a quick decision to make full use of her extra pair of arms. Just as she and the golem were about to collide a blinding light filled the arena. Herra appeared and with it the accompaniment of a stream of her gruff gibberish, but the sentiment was understood. The air almost felt electrified as a surge of power erupted through Otei as if she could feel her muscles expanding and her strength increasing. Whatever Herra had done, there was no time to ponder as the golem attempted to head bash Otei.
With her second pair of arms, Otei was able to brace the golem's impact just enough to keep some distance between their bodies allowing her to move her head out of the way. Immediately, Otei let her sword's blade sink into the ground as she focused hardening her skin making use of her Second Skin ability. As she maneuvered, the sheen people associated with geld would instead appear as matte exterior. Otei took her free hands to grasp parts of the golem, intending to commit to the same attack it had just attempted on her. Leaning back to gain momentum, Otei drove forward attempted a targeted strike at its head.

The Formling Beta was ready to watch the pirate man burn beneath its core's energy, but when the man was able to see and react to the blast in time to dive-roll over it, the Golem slammed its pillar-like arm into the sand in frustration. These worms were getting to be a little too much! They were nothing! They should die like nothing! The Beta charged, fury taking over as it barreled toward the three that were attacking the Alpha. It aimed for the pirate man once again. He was currently releasing a flurry of blows that the Beta could barely track. However, as the last blow struck out, the Beta continued its rampage forward attempting to slam its entire body weight into the back of Locke.
Charlie was baffled by the fact that its headbutt maneuver was...well...out maneuvered. Her four arms lashed out and gripped onto the rocky exterior of the Golem's body, and it felt her hands dig in as she braced against its strike. She dodged to the side and the headbutt fell short, its head just inching toward her collarbone, but unable to gain any momentum with the beastly strength pushing it back. But, it was what happened next that truly shattered the Golem's...well...everything, truly. She gripped tighter, and the Golem knew that she was aiming for some sort of attack...but it didn't realize it would be the same strike it had just tried on her. The woman's head reared back, the glow around her body seeming to darken in a way. When she slammed her head forward it completely shattered through the protective rock around its core--driving her forehead directly into the flaming core of the Golem and smashing it to bits. The last thing the Golem hoped...was that her hair would ******** burn for that, at the very least!
Formling Beta Attacking Locke with Basic Physical Attack
--ooc: Okay! So, as you can see, Formling Charlie failed its defensive roll! Then damage takes place. 5x the attacker's attacking stat, and minus 3x the defender's durability. In this case it was JUST enough to one hit KO the Golem. =P
Constance raised a brow at the cat-man as he barked out at them to focus. She gripped her shield a little tighter, feeling her knuckles whiten beneath the frustration. She didn't really like to be told what to do. Especially by some self-entitled s**t who she didn't know from Tom or d**k. "Oi, kitty-boy. Who I lay with ain't none of your business. Don't be too jealous now. I'm sure there are plenty of women who might like that much fur." She stated with a wink, and laughed as she flipped the b*****d the bird and stuck out her tongue. She was about to turn her attention to the Golems when there was a blinding flash, and the sexy little piece, Herra entered, spewing her gutteral nonsence that Constance could listen to for days. However, the last little piece of a warning that she issued was not exactly...comforting to say the least. The blast of energy hit her square in the chest and it felt like her entire body lit up like a christmas tree. She cried out in pain for a moment, a quick little grunt of agony before she could get it under control.
It felt like the experience was over just as fast as it had started, and she looked from compatriot to compatriot, wondering how they were feeling. Chibiru and Locke seemed energized as all hell--the pirate throwing out so many strikes that Constance could barely keep track of them all. The cat seemed like he was using some kind of magic that Constance had never seen...and Otei...well...Otei that beautiful gigantic b***h was busy literally smashing her own face through the Golem enemies. She was so distracted by Otei's display, that she almost didn't notice the Golem swinging for the fences at her rib-cage. Her fist with the shield clenched even tighter now--feeling the strength that was rushing through her body. If Otei could slam her head through one of these things...maybe she could do something too. "I'd tell you to get it, too, Otei, but holy s**t, you've got it and then some already!!" She bellowed back at her companion, laughing wildly.
She quickly flicked her wrist, sending the massive tower shield spinning upwards, connecting the bottom of the shield hard against the bottom of the Golem's arm and sending the strike flying high. She crouched low to avoid it completely, and as the swing carried the Golem spinning because of the momentum, she smirked to herself, nesting her shoulder against the back of the tower shield and pushing her legs with all of her might to send herself rocketing toward the Golem. The spikes of Topaz rearing their ugly heads as she attempted to jam the shield directly through the rock and into the frontal core of her enemy.

~~~Formling Alpha / Delta - Turn 3~~~
The Formling duo watched as their attacks against their enemies were easily thwarted--being turned back one at a time without any of them making any significant advance on their foes. However, it was in the moment that the giant woman made her counter-attack that the Golems were rattled. Her head-butt was so powerful she managed to crush through the rocks that protected the core, and also smash through the core itself. Where did such herculean strength come from? There was no time to think about that, however, the other enemies, too, were on the move. The Felis man was already striking, and the way he moved had become entirely different. There was some kind of glow emanating from the blades of the weapons he carried. As he swung the blade downward the Formling attempted to swing its other arm down to meet him, but the speed this cat was moving at was too much. He had already made it through its guard, and Chibiru's blade slammed down into the Elbow joint, carving a massive swath through the arm of the Golem before he was gone again, jumping into the air.
As Chibiru swung the tantos like a whip, the blade came hurling without mercy, slashing directly through the back of the Golem's neck and disrupting the nervous system immediately. The Golems legs gave out first, but as Locke came blasting in behind Chibiru. The Golem tried as much as he could as he was falling to slap away the blows, but three of them landed. One took the arm off that Chibiru had initially wounded deeply. The second put another massive cut through the Golem's other arm, and the last drove a cutlass straight through the center core of the Golem as it hit the sand. There was no room for debate. It was dead.
The Delta Formling, however, had the only small bit of luck out of all of its allies. As Constance slammed forward with her shield, the Formling was able to bring its arms up in time and catch the shield from either side, holding with all of its might to stop the charge dead in its tracks. This woman...if it was only this one...would die today! The Delta Formling tried to reef the shield upward to throw off Constance's stance, and then immediately used its feet to slam down and try to break one of her ankles. This one would suffer!
Formling Delta Attacking Constance with Basic Physical Attack
--ooc: ALRIGHTY!! SO, in light of the new mechanic for skill. I have decided that Chibiru doing 1500 damage, and Locke doing over 3200, is a little too much. I didn't realize just how broken the mechanic was. SO, now instead of:
Your Skill / Enemy Skill = X Damage is multiplied by X
It will be:
Your Skill / Enemy Skill = X X / 2 = Y Damage is multiplied by Y
This will effectively cut those damage numbers in half. And even though they still seem ridiculously high, you will NEVER see enemies this weak again, I can assure you of that. So it won't be so unfair in your first REAL fights. xD
~~~Turn 3~~~
Chibiru knew that something had changed inside of him when Herra had thrown her energy into him. He knew the second she had done it that he was stronger...but he had no idea how much stronger he had become. When he had gathered his magic energy before, he had been able to make a blade seem sharper, sure...but to see it cut through stone the way it did. He grinned, feeling the life force draining out of the Golem and entering his body...that was new too...that was very new. The things he might be able to do with such skills...what else were these relics capable of?
As his blade carved through the arm, and he watched as the whip-like movement successfully landed, carving into the neck, the crowd erupted into applause. As he landed, he went to look, thinking they were cheering for his maneuver, but the flashy flourish of the pirate was what had garnered their attention. When Chibiru turned around the man was hacking into the Golem with such vigor that the crowd had completely forgotten the first two strikes had even landed. Chibiru saw the arm come flying off of the thing and his eyes widened, if only for a second. "Well...seems there are many things that I don't know about this...KinsGuard business...." He stated as he positioned himself closer to Locke and prepared to deal with the final two enemies. That was about the closest thing to an apology as the man would get. "I've got your unwanted guest. You help the girl." He stated, pointing to the Golem who had just attempted to charge Locke.
With that, he blasted off once more, his padded feet barely stirring the sand as he flashed toward the Golem who had attacked Locke. The blades still held their glow--and Chibiru could still feel the energy soaking into them from his body. For lack of a better word...it was pretty damn cool. With a quick push from the sand he launched himself into the air right above the enemy that had attacked Locke, and he drove downward with his Tantos, trying to plant one of them into each of the sides of the Golem's head, and drive them straight down through the core.

Locke stood momentarily dazed over the fallen golem that Chibiru and himself had smashed to bits. The energy from Herra’s blast could be felt coursing through his veins. Whatever she had done to the fighters he liked it. The ground began to rumble as the next opponent charged his way. "Seems like everyone wants a little piece of ol' Locke" he said to himself chuckling." I feel like the pretty girl in class." The comment struck him funny as it left his mouth he had heard it used before but never in his life had he been inside a classroom.
Locke turned his head to Chibiru after he spoke “You got this one eh? Alrightly then I’ll leave this sack of rocks to you and I’ll go murder the other” his words began to trail as he jogged towards his oncoming attacker. “Just give me a shout if you need a hand or some company” he said laughing to himself. Locke forgot how much he enjoyed the heat of battle. His attention turned back to the crude formation of rocks barreling his way. Moments before the creature crashed into him slid onto his knees and leaned back. It was a tight squeeze but he slid through the golem's legs, popped back onto his feet and continued his run toward the remaining golem.
Locke caught up to the shield warrior and golem fighting “Hope you don’t mind me dropping in on the party, but it looked so damn fun over here.” A bead of sweat ran down Locke’s forehead as he unsheathed his short sword and cutlass. He drew two daggers from the front of the leather strap putting them in one hand and then with the other hand he spun the leather strap diagonally across his body bringing the four daggers that were hidden by his coat to the front of his chest. “I wonder hard it is to pin a p***k” Locke threw the two knives that were in his hands at the golem's knees, he quickly drew the remaining four daggers, two in each in hand, and aimed at the golem's chest letting loose the remaining blades.

The moment Otei’s head hit the golem’s, rock immediately gave way until she felt the heat of its core also crush beneath the force; it never occurred to her that the core would be warm. An explosion of rock and dust momentarily blinded her as she quickly spat out debris and wiped her eyes clear. Her heart was racing, and she sweat glistened her face, but there was no time to stop, to breathe. For there were still enemies to defeat and the feeling of crushing stone into a rubble and dust was too satisfying a feeling to let go of just yet.
Otei took hold of her blade once again as she saw Constance bellowing a war cry as she engaged the other golem with ferocity, Locke joining in almost as if from out of the sky. Otei had full confidence that they would be able to bring the golem crumbling down. She caught sight of Chibiru working away at another golem and, in the advent of opponent swapping, went to assist whether he needed it or not. The golem’s back was to Otei and she approached she saw Chibiru launch himself to deliver an attack from above, so she decided an assisted blow wouldn’t hurt. She wanted to time it just right as she swung her blade to hit at the golem’s side in hopes of cleaving it through just as Chibiru’s blade sunk into its neck.

As the Formling attempted to attack the pirate man from behind with a wicked charge, the man dropped to his knee in an instant and leaned back into a slide, causing the Formling to charge right over him and completely lose track of its target. It took a few more unsure steps before it halted in the sands and did a quick lookabout before realizing the man was already off in the other direction, headed toward the Delta Formling. The other two had already been defeated. These enemies were stronger than they had first appeared. Perhaps it had all been some kind of feint.
The Beta was about to re-tune its course and head back toward the pirate when a glint of movement caught the corner of its vision. The Golem turned, seeing the traces of sand stirring through the air, though it did not see Chibiru jump in time to know he was already falling from above. The two magic coated blades drove down through the rock like they were made of pillow stuffing. Each one found its mark, sinking deep into the core of the enemy, and causing it to drop to its knees. As its life was flickering out, Otei slammed forward, bringing her sword crushing toward its side, and the creature raise its hand in one last act of defense. Otei's weapon crashed into the outstretched hand and would stop, even as the Golem was dead, it would die holding her sword.
((This is a stupid post that only exists to be in the way and have a dice roll I forgot, because I forgot it was 3 attacks total, not just one each xD))
Constance was almost certain this time that the stuck-up Felis was ignoring her on purpose. She tried her best to ignore it, but she could feel it scratching at the back of her mind as she clenched her fists, holding her shield with a white-knuckle grip. As she watched the members of her little team fighting the enemies, and utterly destroying them, it came down to little old her and the final Golem...holding her shield and making her look like a damn idiot. She felt her momentum cease, and then all of a sudden the shield was being reefed to the side and she stumbled with it. However, as the Golem slammed its foot down in an attempt to crush her ankle, Constance merely went with the momentum of the pull on her shield and threw herself into a dodge-roll.
The Golem's foot landed in the sand with a muted thump, and Constance grinned as she looked over at her enemy. She might not manage to kill her Golem, but she definitely would not be the only one to be hit by one of them either! Locke had changed his trajectory now, and was turning in to give her a hand, and she smirked as the man unleashed a torrent of blades. Her scarred side twisted into a smirk as she watched him go about his business. The marred eye with the x mark seeming to scan the battlefield's every move. She was not a soldier...this was clear. This woman was a leader. She felt it growing in her now. Even as she listened to Chibiru dictate the battlefield, she knew that she was no man's weapon. She was the hand who gripped the sword. She felt the confidence begin to return to her. She would never be manhandled again; she would never be humiliated or mutilated by another man, golem or otherwise for the rest of her life. Her hand traced the carved tips of her once-elven ears and she took a deep breath.
"Fun doesn't even begin to cover it, friend." She said with a laugh, flashing the man a smile. "But, I will say, Locke, you've inspired me." She stated, her grin turning dark as she gripped the shield tightly once again and she ran towards the enemy. This time, however, instead of using her ability she cocked back her arm and aimed to surprise this piece of s**t. With every bit of her physical power, she hurled the massive tower shield toward the Golem, sending it rocketing toward the enemy, and running in behind the shield, popping up from underneath the shield's shadow and slamming a vicious punch toward the Golem's core. If any of the knives were still left form Locke's attacks, she would use her fist like a hammer and bloody well nail this coffin closed.

Ability Name: Don't Bleed on Me Level: 2 (4) Class: Physical Attack

The Delta Formling watched as one by one, its brethren were felled by the enemies. The other rampant humans were still above them, cheering as these puny man-creatures were slowly picking them apart. The Golems held a sort of anger as they died--knowing these humans were just getting their daily fix of violence and watching the Golems get torn apart. Barbarians, the lot of them. There was, after all, a reason they should be purged from this world. Icarus, their Golem God, deemed it so. It knew the destruction the peoples of this world had wrought upon themselves time and time again. It had lived to see multiple civilizations destroy themselves. This new civilization was only another on the path to absolution. Each time Icarus had fallen, it had learned more and more. And each time it slept, vanquished by the people of this damned world, it grew more powerful. It did not see woe in its losses, but instead accepted them gratefully, for it knew it was only a matter of time until it was able to take this world. And time was something that Icarus had an infinite amount of...unless this planet cracked in two and disappeared.
The Delta golem stood, its resolve wavering fully now, as the thoughts of fear and of hate coursed through it. Locke's daggers flew true, though the Golem thrashed to batter some of them away. Three of them still managed to skewer past its defenses and sink deep into the core. The blades were enough to fracture the heart of the golem, and it immediately crumbled to its knees. As Constance hurled her shield in behind, the Golem turtled, bowing over on the ground to allow the shield to bounce off of its rocky back. However, as it lifted itself afterward, she was already right in front of it, and her fist made direct contact with one of the knives inside the Golem's core, slamming it the rest of the way through and ending the Delta.
--ooc: So, as you can see by this example. Even 2 little attacks from someone who is extremely skilled can do massive damage against someone who has no skill at all, like this enemy. xD
