Kuo-hao's eyes widened and she grinned, she took the basket from the girl's hand and set it down on the ground for a moment.
"Thank you so much!" she squealed pulling her into a brief hug. Picking up the basket she gestured for the girl to follow her as she made her way to the back to deliver the basket to her mother and little brother.

Toshiro chuckled a little as she pulled out her phone. Atleast then they could try to get ahold of the others. However, when she suddenly said how they were in deep trouble, and dove off the horse, he blinked for a moment before following. "Shinsei!" He landed not too far from her, a similar tuft of light following his land as well. "It's over there, what do you mean we're in deep trouble?"

Ling watched Kuo-hao smile, and couldn't help herself but smile as well. However, she felt her face burn with near embarrasment as Kuo-Hao hugged her. Not that she found anything wrong with it, she just wasn't used to such a display. "You're quite welcome." the indigo-haired girl mumbled, somewhat flustered as the other female released her.
Peng laughed quitely at her, as he followed his sister and the young woman towards the back.

Kuo-hao turned once to check that the girl was following her and again to check on the young man she had been seeing to earlier. She exited the main building of the inn and walked across a small courtyard to her family's house.
"Mother!" she called, looking around. She poked her head into her mother's room, "Momma? We have guests, they brought a gift for Tian-ming."
Kuo-hao's mother smiled softly at the two, "Thank you very much." At that moment the baby began to cry and mother turned her attention to feeding him. Kuo-hao stepped back and left the her mom to caring for the baby.
"If you guys want, I can treat you to a meal." she offered to the two, "But I really must be getting back to work." she said with a smile.

"Well actually--" "Sounds great!" Peng cut off his older sister, cheering. The females eyes narrowed at the boy, afraid that she was imposing. "It's not a problem, is it?" Ling asked softly as they continued to follow thier host. "She offered." the boy stated, justifying his cheerful outburst just seconds beforehand.

"Uhm..eheh.." Shinsei sweatdropped a little. I can't just blurt out that I think we're in Ancient China. That would so NOT be good for our status here.. "Well, if I'm going to say anything, I'd like to do it in private. Ya never know who's listening in."
Toshiro..We're in Ancient China. that's the only reasonable explaination. Obaba-sama mentioned each of the countries to me. I've heard stories and the such. Listen Toshiro, we're in deep trouble if it's indeed Ancient China. Foreigners, from a different world. It's just like the old stories I used to hear. Except, Ounen was the reject, with no God of their own. I never heard very much about Ounen, so I never cared about Ounen.
Hitting the '3' speed-dial on her phone, shinsei was trying to reack Tatsuko. "Tatss-saan, answer yer phone!" she whimpered, biting her lip. Their phones mayn't even have service. Much less, if it was indeed Ancient China, well then, phones wouldn't even be heard of.

Kuo-hao smiled, "It's no problem at all. Now please sit." she said, leading them to a newly cleaned table.
"Now, just let me know what you want and I'll be sure to make it." she said, still smiling brightly.

The boy sat down quite content, shooting a smug grin at his sister. "Told ya." he whispered just as smugly as his grin. Ling merely shrugged him off with a sigh and a slight shake of her head.
She took a seat across the table from her sibling, folding her hands in her lap. Peng took the time to order as Ling found herself staring off into space. She was getting an odd feeling from this young woman, nothing uncomfortable mind you, something along the lines of 'where have I met you before?' Her train of thought was derailed with an obnoxious 'Siiiis!'
Her head snapped up to look at Kuo-hao. "A bowl of soup would be fine." she smiled, figuring she'd steal one or two of her brother's dumplings. She then felt an odd pulse on the small of her back, where she knew her Tei mark to be.

With a nod, Toshiro pondered for a moment. He was trying to think what could possibly be such a problem. This place was odd, no doubt about that, but there didn't seem to be anything that could get them in trouble. "We must be in a place with bad reception." He was still trying to figure out what was going on. He stood up, offering her his hand. "Come on, we can try to find another place and call her again."

Smiling, Kuo-hao nodded, "Of course! I'll get your soup out for you soon!" She turned and walked toward the kitchen, ignoring the warm feeling on her right shoulder, just where her 'Kyoku' symbol would be.
If her symbol was acting up, could it mean? These same questions, this same feeling kept flowing through her mind throughout the day. She wasn't sure what had happened. She did her best to keep a smile on her face though, despite the uneasy feeling, because if the Priestess of Pangu has appeared, then there was bound to be trouble somewhere. Now... filled with worry for the lands, her smile appeared forced.
She returned to the siblings Ling and Peng and gave them their soup.
"I hope you enjoy it!" she commented.

"Yay!" the male cheered, before greedily slurping down the soup. Ling stared, almost horrified at her brother. "I'm sorry about him." she sighed, looking up to Kuo-hao. "I hope that isn't what you have to look for with the new baby." she commented, before taking a taste of her soup as well.

"Probably...but maybe not." Shinsei bit her lip. She took his hand to pull herself up. Turning toward the person with the horse, Shinsei apologized for any inconviences. "If there's anything I can do at your home to make up for it, I'd be glad to help!" She beamed.
"How far till your home anyways?" Shinsei asked, beginning to walk in the direction she believed her house would be. "By the way, I'm Shinsei and this is my, well, this is Toshiro." She smiled, beginning to hum a song.
Though she didn't know it, not too far from this maiden, the promise of a healthy universe was ill. Deathly ill. And as the God Pangu watched the fate of his Universe dying, he subconsiously was observing his Priestess.

Shrugging, Toshiro started walking as well, Shinsei's comment about being in trouble weighing on his mind. Not to mention he wasn't sure what she meant about there not being a place with better reception. As he walked, the mark on his right leg started itching even more. It was starting to get annoying, since it felt like it was burning. A gold hued light could barely be seen through the material of his pants. The events thus far were still going through his mind as he walked. He hoped Shinsei would explain what was going on later, so he might be able to fully understand what she meant by trouble. As he walked along, he looked about. It was definately much different than Japan. I wonder if this has anything to do with that book Ryuichi's little sister found...

Kuo-hao laughed, "I'm not sure I'd mind. It's been so many years, we had thought it impossible for mother to have another child and as if in answer to our prayers. Our family was blessed with a baby boy. He's going to be an itelligent child, I just know it."
She glanced around, other customers needed help. She bowed politely to the siblings, "If you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask." she said and returned to helping her various customers with a smile.

Chiyo looked over the girl, shaking her head. "Don't worry about it, miss," she said, smiling at her. She bowed slightly, hearing her introduce themselves. "And I am Chiyo," she said simply, "It's nice to meet you, Shinsei-san, Toshiro-san." She laughed softly, watching the girl walk along side Ume. "My village is still a fair way ahead, since we are walking, if we don't encounter anything, we shall be there by nightfall," she said, looking back in the direction they were headed. "This is Ume," she added, petting the cheasnut horse on the side, "feel free to ride on her when you get tired." Nothing better come up, either, she thought, glancing at Shinsei out of the corner of her eye before looking ahead again. I wish there was a faster way back, but for now this is all I have.
