"It's not like we've seen an ocean...not really..." He responded with a shrug. Tale and Zena were beautiful, and it was fun moving through Sauti, but the stories he heard about the other areas meant that they were missing out on so much, "Not sure I want to see swamps though, I'll pass on that...and Oba sounds too dry and hot for me..."
He laughed a little. Yeah, he liked it cooler, that was his ice blood, "Do you think Mom and Dad would want to travel with us?"

Elna made a face at the idea of mom and dad coming. "No, I don't think they would. I think dad would particularly hate it." She grinned at the idea of their stuck in the mud father going for any kind of long travel plans. "I think we'd be on our own with that. Maybe we'd even see Tyyn along the way?" She questioned aloud. Their sister was forever roaming and she almost never knew where she was exactly. Not that they would invite her along, Elna didn't think she would go for that either but the idea of seeing her was nice. She felt like they barely knew their older sister.

Liio laughed at the picture of his father traveling with them, and how his mother would react to having to coddle him on the trip. It made him feel warm inside and excited to be reunited with his mother again in Zena. Oh he had missed her alright.
"I don't know if we'd have the chance to see Tyyn, she seems to be forever away from wherever we are..." He wondered how she was, but felt a little distant. Would she even recognize them?
"Maybe she's also on the beaches...or getting into a fight at a bar. I hear she's a bit of a fighter..."

The idea of Tyyn brawling somewhere in a dark lit bar seemed appropriate and brought a grin to get face. "Yeah, I think the second one is more her style." Though really what did they know? She left when they were both still little and then they moved to Zena, so her memories of Tyyn were few and distant.
"Still a nice idea to randomly find her in all this. Maybe it will be on a beach." She laughed.
The fire seemed to be getting smaller and their supply of firewood was getting very low. "So you think we should get more wood before we turn in for the night then?" She added, taking one of the small twigs left to poke the fire before throwing it in.

He thought a bit more about his older sister, before he was taken off guard at how hungry he had become. It was at that moment his sister spoke up, and he too noticed the fire was dying. Their traveling companions, nomads from Sauti, were far enough away that their fire wouldn't provide much warmth.
"Let's see if we can find anything to cook over it too. Some food would be nice to keep us warm after the fire dies." He moved to stand, throwing the last twigs in to keep it warm and hold out a hand to help his sister up.

She took Liio's outstretched hand and let him hoist her up. "Good idea, I didn't think about it till now but I am hungry." She agreed. "What are we thinking about eating for dinner?" She asked. She wasn't really that good at hunting, not like her mother was, but she could definitely forage and maybe catch something small.

He thought a moment, "Well it's too dark to really do much hunting and fishing. I'm not sure I have anything to cook...isn't Sauti known for some roots that are good to eat or berries?"
He had to admit, he wasn't the most well studied of the family, and helplessly looked at his sister for affirmation.

She had to think back to what she had read about Sauti plant life. It had been a while but she felt pretty confident she knew where to find the roots he was talking about. "Yeah, I can find those I think."
They walked further away from camp as they spoke. "I can show you what they look like." She tried to explain what it was they were looking for before she could get a chance to actually find them and show Liio.

"I'm glad you joined me, I'd probably be starving at this point" He laughed as they found the items she described, before he also grabbed more wood from the area they scouted. This would keep them warm hopefully well past when they decided to go to sleep, and the food would help too.
"I think this is enough...let's get back and make some food before we get to bed. I think the nomads want to get up early and keep moving." Shrugging, he walked back, glad he was with his sister and ready to make it to the next settlement where they could hopefully find some answers for her problems.

Elna looked down at the haul she had in her arms. Liio carried most of the wood and she had her portion of roots, berries, and herbs for flavor. It wasn't much, but it would make a pretty good stew, and it would taste like meat if it was anything like what she had read. The roots were supposed to be very meaty in flavor.
"Hopefully it's good. If not at least we know we won't die." She laughed at her own joke, though it probably wasn't as funny as she thought it was.
Despite all that was on her mind, Liio helped her feel more at ease at least for the night, and she was grateful for it. They had... well not really a plan, but at least some idea of where they where going after this and the things they would do and it helped her feel more in control. Now it was just time for food and bed.
