The environment around the blue-cladded spirit seemed to confuse him as he walked around through the paths that laid before him. He hadn't been too keen on getting a random invitation, especially for something so grand as some sort of recrutiment, but he was willing to see what the fuss was about. He wasn't sure why such a noble family would go around looking for people like him, but he could only guess that it was just a broad announcement to the masses. Maybe every spirit in the known realm had gotten one. Regardless, Kou was intrigued. The area that gave him sanctuary from the ever lowering sun seemed to bask in the afterglow, the area being drenched in the warm nectar of the last bit of sunshine left. Kou had traveled quite far from where he had previously been, so he hoped this was worth his while. He was too used to the decrepit alleyways he found himself taking refuge in. Around this time, he would have been getting ready for a cold night under the stars. Despite the poor living conditions, he was rather proud of how well he was doing, currently. He was surviving all on his own and nothing seemed to be getting any worse for him. If only his brother could see him now!

A small smile littered Kou's face at the thought of his brother. His brother would have loved this terrain. The copious forests you'd have to walk through to get where you need to go would have intrigued him quite a lot. His brother was a pretty big nature freak, so all of the luminescent creatures that littered the underbrush would have been taken in jars along the way. He couldn't help but stop to take a look at a firefly that started to glow, the sun setting being the perfect time for it to come out from it's hiding spot. He hummed a soft tune as he watched the creature buzz around in content, flying around and blinking softly against the trunk of the trees. Kou pulled himself out of that thought and decided that maybe it wasn't the right time to be thinking about it. He'll figure out what to do when the time arose. Maybe he'll catch one for safe keeping on his way back. If he made it back, however.

And ugly crooked trunk from the trees to his sides creeped it's way across the road, and he involuntarily tripped over it. He felt his face connect to the ground and he grabbed his nose in distain. The pain only lingered for so long, but the first wave of shock seemed to make him tear up. That really hurt! His beautiful nose... He grumbled after the pain fully subsided and continued on his way. He rubbed at his nose viciously and hoped that it wasn't broken. It didn't feel broken. At least he didn't think so. Kou simply shrugged it off and kept walking, making sure to keep track of any other tricky branches that dare make it's way along his path. However, he no longer had to keep watch of the ground as he eventually made it to a large body of water, a lake presumably. Stones littered randomly around the temples that he could see, and he was intrigued to know how it was constructed. This was new territory for him. The intricate layout of the roofing pulled his eye towards it, and further down the pillars laid a gathering of people. Those must have been the other recipients who had gotten an initiation. It was a pretty small congregation, but it wasn't anything he was too intimidated by. Kou was pretty proud of his ability to mingle. However, he didn't exactly trust anyone. They might all look nice on the surface, but for all he knew, dark and twisted visions could be clouding any one of their minds. A façade was easy to fake.

Kou eyes the environment, vibrant ocean eyes taking in everything. He slowly but surely made his way over to the gathered spirits, taking notice of all the different types there seemed to be. Some spirits were even part animal, which he rarely saw. He glanced around, taking in everything with a critical eye, arms crossed as he walked over and towards a corner. He turned his back to it and kept his eyes trained on anything important of notice. He didn't know anyone here, at least not anyone he assumed he knew right away. In the middle of the platform they stood on was a table, which various weapons and items upon it. Were they going to fight? He narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the pile of weapons. He wasn't sure how to feel about the sight of them, so he was suddenly a little on edge. Everyone seemed to be in their own groups, conversing calmly amongst each other. Either no one had taken notice of the weapons, or they didn't care to know what the weapons were for. Kou stood firmly where he was, not yet comfortable to move from where he had placed himself. He might seem a little on edge, but he was more trying to make sure that this invitation wasn't some sort of trap. Hey, he didn't exactly have anyone to tell him not to go do possibly dangerous things anymore. He had to choose what he wanted to do on his own now.

One step at a time, he supposed.

                                                \\\\ ⋮⋮⋮ ////////

Yui Ga Dokuson
Raising her hand from her hip, the woman in black would spread her fan out once more and cover her lower half of her face again as she turned to address the man who had stolen the rabbit's attention. And pray tell, who is normally early to these things?

Luna Kosane
"I'm Akari." She smiled a little and lifted her right arm slightly into a tiny wave, before letting it drop down to drape across her torso and grip her left arm; something she often did when she felt a sense of nervousness.

Leth acknowledged the presence of the woman in black, but before he could answer her, was graced
with the name of the pink-haired Spirit, so he took a moment to accept her greeting first. "Its nice to
meet you, Miss Akari."

Turning towards the woman in black, Leth opened his mouth, ready to answer the woman's question,
but noticed right away a strange, crystal-like sound hit his ears. As he blinked once, then twice, and
looked at the woman in black, then back to Akari, the sound grew; it was the sound of glass slowly
cracking -- and it had grown loud enough in the last moment or two that he realised where it was
coming from; under his feet.

Looking to the floor beneath him, he saw a collection of fine, crystalline shards forming over his boots,
growing fast as they reached higher up into his forelegs. Right away, he noticed they were taking a
unique shape -- a fragmented, abstract set of hands, gripping onto his ankles and holding them in
place. Their pristine, freezing blue hue gave away that they were forming as a result of Cryo Elemental
Magic.

"She--!" he blurted a word suddenly, before trying to turn around. His boots remained firmly held in
place by the ice as he shifted the rest of his frame roughly ninety degrees, so he could see behind him
out of the corner of one eye.

And without warning, someone shot towards him from out of the fog, and like a flash, slammed their
foreleg clear into the back of his head, screaming furiously as they did.

"Hyeeaaagh!" the assailant howled as her foreleg connected with the back of Leth's head.

Immediately, Leth was thrown forward by the kick, and the crystal hands of ice that had formed over
his boots fragmented and broke away as he was ripped out of them.

A powerful thud sounded as his head slammed into the stone floor, but was quickly replaced with a
liquid screech as his head, then the rest of his body, continued sliding across the floor. After his body
had passed by many of the other arrivals, it finally came to a halt as the last of its inertia ended
at the base of one of the red, wooden pillars holding up the roof.

The girl stood firmly near the edge of the platform, roughly where Leth was standing moments ago,
and seemed not to acknowledge the presence of anyone else nearby, aside from Leth.

"Stupid, spineless a*****e!!" She screamed, clearly seething at him for reasons unknown.

Before she would receive a response, if any, Miyu heard a sudden commotion coming from the other side of the room. With a sudden chill from the shift in temperature, the brunette watched as Leth who she was yet to meet, was frozen to the ground by cyro magic. She instantly went on guard, looking to the table and picking up the closet dagger for protection. Her whole body jolted as a figure came out of the fog and kicked the male in the back of the head, sending him to the ground with a loud thud.

She was frozen before her protective instincts kicked in and she quickly ran to Leth, getting to the ground and supporting his head, giving it a quick glance for any sign of blood. She placed his head on her lap while hovering over his semi-conscious body with dagger in hand. She looked at the spirit who attacked him without being provoked with a unsure look.

"Don't come any closer to him!" She blurted out but she was no way prepared to fight her, especially with her skill for cyro. She held the dagger out, ready to defend herself if needed.

User ImageThe next few moments happened so fast that Akari almost didn't have time to register what had happened. Suddenly, Leth went from being stuck to the ground with some rather powerful Cryo magic to being kicked in the head and thrown across the room like he was one of those balls children kicked around sometimes.

The blue-eyed girl had sprang into action, a dagger grasped firmly in her hand as she hovered over the semi-conscious young man. A brief look at his stomach rising and falling told Akari that she was alive. She stepped in front of the green clad young woman and Leth, her hand out in a manner both telling her to remain calm and in a protective stance.

"Calm down. Cryo magic like that can't be bested by a dagger. You won't do anyone any good getting hurt either." Her voice took on a more serious tone than before as she addressed Miyu.

She looked towards the Spirit who had attacked Leth, folding her arms under her bosom and narrowing her eyes disapprovingly. "I don't know what he might have done or said to you, but you kind of went too far attacking him like that. You might have killed him if you had hit him a little harder than that."

Shikatsu had gotten a late start and arrived late, per his usual actually, and he wasn't really one to really want to do much of anything.
However, this seemed to be a good thing today as he heard a commotion up ahead and went to go see what it was.
He didn't want to get involved, but his curiosity got the better of him, as it usually did.

The amber iris’s of the teen slowly drifted from his markings to a hand that simply appeared out of no where. The slightest ‘clink’ echoed through the space that resided between the two individuals. Alatus’s eyes scanned the individual from head to toe. The man then inquired from Alatus without introducing himself. As the man asked his question, Alatus’s face remained nihilistic. It did not even hint at the sea of annoyance that resided within the man. As the being finished his question, Alatus simply replied in a blunt manner, ❝**** off.❞ Alatus had nothing particularly against this stranger but he did not care for him either. The amber-eyed boy, then slowly rose from his position and went to the far side of the roof. He then sat on the edge and let his leg dangle from over the edge. He then simply ignored the presence of the man that attempted to have a conversation with him. Alatus was not one for conversations in the slightest. He could care less about who anyone was, where they come from. He didn’t even care about whatever the hell was going on. The people below him could all get massacred below him, he would not bat an eyelash nor even raise a hand to help them. The man who appeared before him was no different. To Alatus, they were all just beings of life that happened to be in the same location at the same exact time. He slowly began to wish to himself, that whatever event was supposed to happen would already occur so he could sleep in peace.

As the spirit was minding his own business and starring at the stars his ears began to pick up on some shouting that occurred below. First was a male’s voice, as he blurted “She--!”. Not long afterward, a females screech penetrated the eardrums of the teen. Alatus, had no idea what was going on, but it seemed like the entertainment had finally arrived. Without even looking back at the gentleman to see his reaction, Alatus quickly launched himself off of the roof and climbed his way down quickly. Alatus appeared on the other edge of the platform from where the girl had just arrived. She began screeching once more, calling someone an a*****e. Alatus folded his arms across his chest and leaned against one of the many poles that held the structure up. His shoulder supplying the base of his weight against the complex. Shortly after that, the woman with brown hair dressed in green seemed to shout some sort of defense. So, it appears that the woman who was screaming bloody murder attempted to attack someone. This was turning interesting indeed. Alatus began to wonder how many individuals would die or get hurt in whatever was supposed to happen tonight.

After the brown-haired woman rushed to the defense of whoever the stranger attempted to attack, the rabbit seemed to chime in. Hearing her words, Alatus began to think to himself, ❝Cryo Magic? How interesting.❞ The rabbit woman then seemed to try to make some sort of peace pact with the assailant. A slight grown of annoyance fell under Alatus’s breath as he rolled his eyes. In Alatus’s opinion, you could never try to reason with an assailant or anyone who has resorted to violence. It’s utter nonsense. If she wanted to even the situation, she should have grabbed a weapon or done something by force. Anyone who disagreed with him, he saw as a “Bleeding Heart” type of individual. Those types of people annoyed him even more than normal individuals. After the confrontation, Alatus scanned the pavilion once more. It seems other individuals had shown up. Individuals he did not notice. I guess they began to appear as Alatus was distracted from the annoyance on the roof. Man, even with this entertainment, this night was taking a turn for the worst. Alatus, thought about packing up and moving on. It might not even be worth all of this hassle. What a drag.

User Image Isabella looked over at Miyu as she walked over to her. She would give a smile back, and thought a bit, her ears shifting softly. She glanced over at the stranger as he moved into the light, and looked him over as she felt her ears naturally move downward against her head as she noticed what he was wearing. She would end up commenting, a bit too low, "yeah...rather interesting..and a bit..nerve racking. Isabella Kiyoshi by the way." She would glance around the room as people introduced themselves, but kept her eyes on the guy dressed as a human.

She would grab the short sword when the cryo attack was launched at the guy she was staring at, and looked for a place to take cover as the rabbit girl commented on daggers being useless against magical attacks. She would unsheathe the sword as she went over to the others, keeping an eye on the attacking woman as she commented, "something's telling me that was the point. Miyu! What's his status?" She would think as she glanced between Kokuyō and Leth, mentally debating who to guard. She would rather defend neither, but beggars cant be choosers it seemed. There was the likelihood she just wanted to attack Leth and would leave everyone else alone, but she wasn't going to count on that as she focused on the assailant. "Odd question, but does anyone know any pyro spells?"

Siel didn't react right away, and simply stayed still, kneeling on the roof with his hand resting on one of the tiles. It took a
moment after Alatus left for Siel to move in the slightest, as if he was processing the boy's reaction.

A small smile appeared on his face, though it seemed to be made in defeat.

"Yeah, heh, I thought as much." he said quietly to himself. Though his eyes weren't visible through his blindfold, an
onlooker could have otherwise seen that he looked down a little.

In his mind, he knew that the boy had not reacted in such a way because of anything he did; despite how it may
sometimes look, people often do things because of their own internal decisions, rather than by pure reaction. It was
probably the boy's intention to begrudgingly dismiss anyone who spoke to him, but he was equally unlikely to just leave
altogether.

Paying little mind overall though, Siel brought himself upright and moved back to the edge of the roof to make his way
back down to the side of the platform he originally climbed up; it was the opposite side that Alatus had now made his way
down to.

Upon landing on the stone platform, Siel quickly noticed how close and visible he now was to the rest of the arrivals, but
before he could take notice of all of them, he saw the stranger, Leth, get kicked and sent flying by a screaming girl.

As the stranger's body came to a halt and a girl with brown hair ran to his side, Siel took note of the situation before him
and noticed that the attacker, while clearly furious, only had about half of her body language advertising aggression.

As others stood near the stranger and tried to converse with eachother or the attacker, Siel noted his observation clearly
in thought: She's conflicted.

As he began to shake, and his eyes opened, Leth felt the merciless pounding in his head, and let out
a small groan.

"Augh... Koikku..." he lifted a hand up to hold the side of his head as he regained control over his
body, and blinked a few times to assert that his vision focus.

Right away, he noticed his head was laying in the lap of a brown-haired girl who was leaning over
him, and his eyes quickly moved to meet hers.

"Uhm... hi." he greeted her awkwardly, turning the hand on his head around to show his open palm
to her in greeting.

Before she could answer though, he quickly rolled to his side, and after taking a breath, lifted himself
up onto his knees, facing away from the girl who had attacked him. He leant his hands on his legs as
his posture remained forward, still recovering from having been struck so hard.

The girl was now clearly visible before everyone, and despite her aggression, seemed exceptionally
innocent-looking, and clearly younger than Leth, though the scowl on her face offset her pure look
by a fair amount.

Closing her eyes and showing her teeth a little with a detesting, virulent frown, she shook for a
moment.

"...idiot." she finally finished her sentence, before tears started forming at the sides of her eyes.

As one tear, then another, ran down her face, she let out the smallest of whimpers, and shook
uncontrollably, just for a second.

"We looked for you everywhere!" she screamed, splitting the air, silencing everyone on the
platform.

As she huffed, struggling to control several conflicting emotions, she clutched her hands tightly,
letting her nails push against her palms.

"We..." she opened her eyes to look towards Leth, who still had not turned around to look at her
directly, then abruptly shut them tightly again, as more tears flowed. "we were sure..."

User ImageAkari's stern expression softened when the attacker emerged from the shadows to reveal a young woman. The anger was only in her face, while the rest of her body depicted a completely different emotion. The tears forming in her eyes and the whimpers escaping her lips told Akari that the reason for her outburst was out of worry for Leth.

It was a little bit of overkill in Akari's opinion, but everyone had different ways of expressing their emotions. She could hear Leth speaking behind her, his voice slightly strained from the pain that was recently inflicted upon him. But his injuries didn't appear to be traumatic.

Sure about what? Akari thought. Perhaps it wasn't a question for her to ask. Did she think he had died? That would explain her recent outburst.

Akari looked up at the new arrivals, two of which she had seen slip down from the roof, confirming her assumption that there had been someone up there. The third had come up the path, the way she and most of the others had.

User Image Isabella looked over at the male that dropped off of the roof as she noticed him off to the side. She blinked at the band over his eyes, and silently wondered if it was to help against glare, or potentially hide his eye color. If so, she should of likely tried doing that a decade ago to keep people from calling her a demon, as well as all the other things they yelled at her.

She would keep a defensive stance as the girl became visible in the light. She quickly looked her over, scanning her facial expression and felt her ears twitch when she yelled at Leth. She glanced over at the accused idiot, and lowered her weapon as she saw that he seemed alright, he potentially had a concussion, but he'd get better. She sheathed the short sword as she saw the ram woman wasn't a threat, and set it on the table gently, even with it being used she didn't want to disrespect the noblewoman's stuff. She would look back at Leth to see he was recovering from the attack as she commented, "he should be alright after some rest. Sorry for raising a weapon against you..it seems you hitting him was worth it."
