Arnica nodded understandingly at the thought of focusing on other things--of some cinnamon monster. Senshi magic, he supposed, but he was still too unfamiliar with anyone of that description or skill set.
"I've seen the wraiths knock someone out, yeah. Self preservation seems to be a big thing for them--which I get. When they get full of energy, they can shatter. Doesn't take much but they break like brittle glass, and all that energy's lost. But they kinda just dart through someone pretty quickly. Sometimes they leave them unconscious, but if it looks like there's a risk of them getting caught they bolt back."
He drew out the mirror shard he summoned them from to show him; it was just a small, palm sized piece of mirror. "They just pop out of here, get their energy, and run back in. No one's ever noticed while I've been draining, but mostly I do it in the dark, where there are plenty of shadows. People waiting at the bus stop, already nodding off. Students walking home from the library. People who were already tired and getting ready for bed are usually easy targets, and the wraiths usually don't take enough to knock them out. But. We don't pull starseeds. I've been told it's because humans are renewable energy sources--you know, you go home, eat, sleep, more energy. You take a starseed and you lose that. So. I don't want to hurt anyone, just want to get what they've got to spare."

“Yeah… yeah…” He mused. “I haven’t …done the star seed thing either, kinda seems a waste. I guess I’d have to be like, really really …mad or something, or under orders.” He mused and made a face. “If It wasn’t gonna maybe knock me out I’d …totally offer some energy to see one of your critters, but thanks for not setting it on me without warning either eh?” “I've been dropping people I KO like… in laundromats and things so they don’t freeze though cause, yeah.” He shrugged.

"You're better than some of them I've run into. Seems like half the Negaverse doesn't even care where people wind up? I've had to drag people into warm places, or out of the way," Arnica sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I mean. I guess it's not like I have to, just. Seems like it's not quite fair. I don't feel bad about taking energy, but I do feel bad if I leave someone where they can get hurt. I'll show you sometime, maybe we can meet up and patrol one of these days. And hopefully we'll have more information by then, yeah? So you can figure out who is impersonating you. Keep your eye on other people in your life, too. Just in case this is more than a coincidence. If it's personal..."
Well, that was even more dangerous.
"Just let me know if you figure anything else out, and I'll shoot anything your way, too. Or, if I think of anything else between now and then."

“Ah… you end up freezing your nether bits off once and it sticks with you. I figured it would be extra shitty if you didn’t remember how you got there AND you were cold.” He shrugged like it was nothing, but he really did hate this time of year. It didn’t help that things at ‘home’ had him a little on edge with the weather getting colder and snow starting to fall. “I appreciate it, man. I’ll catch you around!” He held up a hand for a high-fives as well.
