So far, she'd only really had one pleasant conversation. She sighed as she made her way to the Parlor. "I'll have some strawberry shortcake please...and tea..." Lorel said and went to a table and just started to write in her journal. The cake was brought over, upon where Leaf, a little green nature sprite, sniffed it and started to drool.  Adrian LacroixAdrian had ended up finishing his tea and cookies as he was just sitting in the corner, smiling a tiny bit as the story continued on. It was getting more and more suspenseful as the tale unfolded and more clues were dropped and sprinkled throughout. By now the young man was enthralled by the book in his hands as he was now beginning to get through the pages rather quickly as soon enough about an hour had gone by and he had finally finished the book with a satisfying sigh. So it had turned out to be the son of the man though the reason for murdering his Father was just, however nonetheless he was still taken away by the police. Although it was hinted that he would have leniency taken upon him due to the abuse he and his Mother endured at the hands of the tyrannical father.
With that he would close the book as he would order another cup of tea and a few more cookies before glancing to the table next to him where he'd see a young woman writing in her journal but even more interesting was a nature sprite that was salivating over her strawberry shortcake. A small but amused smile grew on his face as she would quickly chastise the little thing before taking a bite of her food. How amusing, the sprite certainly was quite adorable and soon enough his second order arrived and he'd pause for a moment before looking down at his cookies and snapped one in half before holding it out for the small sprite "Would you like this?" he couldn't help but offer half of his own sweet treat to the sprite, it was just a simple butter cookie but they were very good and while it probably wasn't as tasty as the strawberry shortcake it would still it the spot for anything with a sweet tooth.

Leaf looked at the cookie and cocked his head before taking the cookie and giving it a little nibble. Leaf then started to float around and nibbling on the cookie looking happy as could be. Lorel sighed and shook her head. "That was nice of you, but Leaf is a little trickster who loves sweets. And shouldn't be out right now!" Lorel tried to snatch Leaf, but the little nature sprite flew and hid in Adrian's part, still nibbling on the cookie. Lorel was getting embarrassed and got up, carefully extracting Leaf from his hair. "I'm sorry about him...he's being RUDE!" Leaf giggled and sat under the lip of the book, happily nomming on the cookie. ☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲

Adrian LacroixAdrian smiled a small bit when the little sprite accepted the cookie and floated around happily nibbling on the cookie. The sight was certainly a cute one in his opinion though the young woman would speak up and he couldn't help but give the smallest of smiles when she called the sprite called Leaf a trickster who shouldn't be out "Aw come on now, look how happy he is though" he mentioned with a soft chuckle before blinking a bit when the small spite planted itself on his head which and Adrian couldn't resist the amused look on his face as the little sprite seemed more than happy making things difficult for the young woman. Once she apologized he'd shake his head before sipping his tea for a brief moment "Nothing to be sorry for, he's just having fun" he spoke with a soft smile on his face before chuckling a little bit at the Sprite who seemed to be just as amused as he was at this moment. He would then take a bite of his own cookie "I'm guessing that he has done some naughty things to earn himself the title of a trickster?" he inquired with a slightly amused look on his as he tried to think of what a sprite could do to earn such exasperation.

Adrian LacroixAdrian took a bite of one of his cookies before then sipping his tea some more as she spoke about how Leaf got away with a lot because of how cute he was. He chuckled a little bit and nodded his head at the comment "I suppose when you're cute enough you can get away with a lot" he spoke with an amused tone before the young woman would introduce herself as Lorel and commented on how well he was taking to seeing a sprite. He would casually sip his tea and nodded his head "A pleasure Lorel, I'm Adrian" he would then turn a bit where he was seated to properly regard her "But yes I'm somewhat used to sprites, my little Sister Yvette had befriended a Sprite that had taken up residence in our vast garden. She kept him hidden for a long time since she was scared our parents would chase him out" he explained why he was perfectly fine with the sight of a Sprite. He remembered the look on her face when their Parents informed her that they were fine with the Sprite living in their garden as long as he didn't cause trouble or kill any of the plants, not that they would.

Lorel smiled and drank more tea as Leaf was floating over them, creating stray flower petals and making them rain. Loral sighed and reached up, grabbing him out of the air. There was a little squeak before he 'poofed' out of existence. "I see...well, Leaf isn't the only sprite I know..." she mumbled a spell and out of the bag, a little white ball of light popped out from behind the interior of the bag. Adrian LacroixAdrian would motion to the open seat for Lorel to take as it was unoccupied, he didn't mind at all if she joined him. He was normally a tad reserved but thankfully the little Sprite really helped him break the ice as the sight of the little guy brought back memories of his little sister. He would then blink a bit when Lorel ended snatching leaf out of the air after he had begun spreading flower petals about, what a shame as that had been rather cute. He would then quietly sit there as she informed him that Leaf wasn't the only sprite she knew before then muttering a small spell. Soon Adrian's gaze would be drawn to her bag where a small ball of light would poke out for a moment before seemingly noticing him and darting back into the bag. He would then chuckle a small bit as a soft smile grew on his face "A bit of a shy one huh?" he would then lean on the table a bit "Hey now, I'm not a bad person I promise. I'd love to be able to meet you..." he tried gently coaxing the small sprite to come out.

A white ball came out and sat down, just looking at the male blonde. "I'm a summoner...well...apprentice summoner...a lot of what I can do involves sprites right now...and this one is a light one, Illumina. And yes...she's shy." Lorel said as she sipped her tea and watched the light sprite just look at Adrian. Soon, the sprite started to smile, which made Lorel smile too. "Unlike Leaf...she's well behaved." she remarked as she gave a gentle pat to the white little one with one finger. Adrian LacroixAdrian would give a tiny smile when the little sprite peeked out from around the flap of Lorel's bag and he gave a small wave to the tiny creature. He would then turn his attention to the young woman before him and listened to her explain that she was an apprentice summoner to which he nodded his head a bit "Summoning, very impressive" he would then regard the sprite with a gentle smile and nodded "A pleasure to meet you Illumina" Adrian would then chuckle in an amused tone at Lorel's next statement "I'm sure Leaf does make things interesting for you though" he stated with a grin, beginning to feel a bit more at ease before then sipping a bit more tea "I'm learning enhancement magic myself" he explained about why he was attending "Generally I'd like to help people improve in any way they can be it on or off the battlefield" he stated with a small smile on his face.

She glanced outside to where students were running but chose to not investigate. She didn't want to get caught up in a crowd. "It's...well. I don't want to say it's natural talent...but it kind of is...it happened on accident and then just...kept happening...sometimes when I didn't want it to happen." Lorel was, of course, referring to Leaf and his antics. And Leaf wasn't the only trickster she had. But that was for later. Lorel gave a little spoonful of tea to the light sprite as she listened to Adrian talk. "Enchantments are important. I know the guardian knights use enchanted weapons a lot. Is that where you're aiming for, or a different profession?" she asked as she took another bite of cake. ☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲

Adrian LacroixAdrian would take a glance out to where the other students were running to investigate but rolled his eyes some, it didn't concern him at all. Besides large crowds weren't his specialty. He would then listen to Lorel and nodded his head in acknowledgement at the plight she onced face from before "Understandable, sometimes magic does that when you're not prepared for it" he knew his little Sister Yvette still suffered with similar issues although it was much more benign since sometimes she'd wake up with her hands glowing and other less intrusive things. He would then nibble on his last cookie as he shrugged his shoulders a bit "I haven't quite decided yet, while enchanting weapons for the knights is a noble feat I just don't know if that's what I want" he would then take another sip of his tea "My family's specialty is healing magic but as I was born with more of an affinity for enhancement magic I've become somewhat of a black sheep so to speak..." he explained the reason for his indecisiveness.

Well, you have plenty of time to figure that out...right? Maybe you can do both..." she paused and finished off her tea. "I mean, my family is a little...odd. We don't exactly settle in one place a lot. Romani, I guess. I'm the first that wanted this type of education besides the normal kind." she thought about needing to contact her father. She should write him a letter. "Oh, um...question...I don't...want to just assume anything so...I guess I'll ask. Do you want to be friends? Adrian LacroixAdrian would nod his head as it seemed like people were very riled up about something or another and frankly he wasn't about to go out and check "Agreed, I...don't care much for crowds..." he explained a bit with a sigh. He just didn't was never at home or comfortable with large groups of people, heck he struggled just walking through the halls between classes. He felt so suffocated at times being shoulder to shoulder with people he hardly knew and it was even worse when they tried getting him involved in whatever conversation was going on simply because they shared a class. Once they spoke about what they were looking for in the future he'd feel a touch thankful when the other understood the reason for his indecisiveness in regards to his future. He then blinked a bit "Both?...Huh...I hadn't thought of that..." enchanting weapons for knights as well as helping people off the battlefield? That sounded like hard work but that wasn't something he was terribly averse to he supposed. He then listened to the other speak and blinked in surprise "Really? Interesting" being the first in ones family to want a proper education, what a foreign concept for him "In my family they place almost too much value on education, they think good grades means a good life" he understood their train of thought but it had flaws that he was unwilling to point out to them. He then stared for a moment before a small smile formed on his face and Adrian rubbed the back of his neck a bit "I um...I'd love to be friends with you!" it felt good to actually verbally confirm that they were friends now, he didn't have many of those! He would then chuckle a little bit "I'm in a similar boat...I uh...I have a bit of trouble making friends myself..." he explained with a bashful smile on his face.
