Oh yeah sorry I should have got on those earlier I just wanted to get some fresh air and time got away from me. But I would be flattered if you'd help.... Not that you need to help, but if you want to i won't stop you.
Lavi took a breath. 'Breath girl you're embarrassing yourself'. She cleared her throat again.

Not really...I've been preparing for weeks. This is the first day but I know how you put things off til the very end.
He laughed a bit then looked at her oddly again
And flattered is an odd way to describe wanting help...Isn't that used more for compliments?

Do I really always leave things until last minute? I don't mean to time flies too fast for me.
She thought about her word usage for a second then smiled sheepishly at him.
I meant flatter in the way that I feel honored you'd use some of you're free time to help me when you could easily let me do it by myself.

Yes, it is well known you do...I would help anyone as if they were my own flesh. I don't have any family here so the staff is all I got.
He said walking with her towards the building leaving Kamilah behind
I try to help the librarian with books at the end of the day too...so don't worry about it. I just get too bored and find I need more to do.
He said casually.

Well aren't you a gentleman. I find I don't get bored easily I tend to just wonder into things. I also get distracted a lot so that tends to help boredom too.

He looked a little bit worried as he got to the entry way and put out his hand slightly
Surely she's not going to walk into that closed door is she? No...She jokes about being so distracted. There is no way she doesn't see that.
He said growing concerned as she got closer to the door. He didn't want to tell her and her know about it because he felt she would take it as some kind of insult. Women were always mad at him for some reason or another and questioning their intelligence was conditioned into him as a huge 'DON'T YOU DARE ******** QUESTION ME!'

She walked straight into the door stopping her mid sentence . She held her head as she backed up a bit embarrassed
Ow. See easily distracted.
Trying to play it off as nothing so she could feel less humiliated as she grabbed the door to open it up

╚══════════════╝ ▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂ ▁ ◤ "Interesting" Mercy muttered as she traced the scrawl of text with her finger, not at all concerned by the aged, yellow pages on the book barely held together with thick twine where the spine glue had long since given up any sense of integrity. the girl paused to shift her shoulder bag with a grunt and paid no mind to the groups of other students giving her sideways looks. She was by no means dressed as one would expect a witch to, in fact, she appeared to go out of her way to avoid any trappings of the stereotypical appearance one would associate with a witch. She dressed rather simply, slim black pants, flat, high top shoes clearly idly doodled on with sharpie at one point with designs featuring plenty of skulls and sinister-looking runes at some point shaded in with some intent of making it look at least a bit tidy. A simple, comfortable white top hugged her figure like her pants, fitted to expose her shoulders and the barest hint of her cleavage while a matching choker adorned her neck with the faintest glimmer of silver woven into the fabric in the shape of a deer skull. Chestnut brown hair bounced and shimmered in long twin braids over her back in time with silver hoop earrings, it seemed she didn't care overly for excessive jewelry, earrings, and choker aside, or makeup as the dull reflection and artificial scent of foundation and mascara were absent. Instead, she gave off a scent that whiffed of hints of sage, damp earth, and cedar, all without any hint of perfume to slightly sear the sinuses as if it were completely natural. This completed the natural look she adopted with the exception of the barest hint of mascara to accent her eyes, her impossibly green, almost jewel-like eyes that appeared to almost giving off their own light, even as the sun shined overhead. "Fascinating..." she muttered to herself again "A complete absence of common magical theory among the Mexica...no...hard theory...of course they were mostly a word of mouth people...how strange though...not even any carvings or tapestries of anything concrete." She sighed and tapped a finger to her cheek "Perhaps the methods are writ in their cultural norms? I know they had priests and there's got to be something..." ◢ "Your knowledge is worth nothing until it stands to benefit the rest of the world...

He accidently laughed at her then caught himself. He felt awkward for a moment knowing it wasn't really nice to laugh at friends then noticed a new student approaching the school. Mercy was noticeably pretty and Seva instantly remembered a time a young witch like her accused him of horrible things. He felt everyone believed her, because she was a fairer witch.
Lavi, There are some students that cause trouble by the way they act then there are students that cause trouble by the way they look. I think here comes a lot of trouble.
He said feeling drained at the thought of boys her age wanting to know her. He looked over at Lavi
Do you mind sticking around me, yeah? I don't want to be alone with female students unless I have to. It spells trouble and if people think they are pretty they would assume I might have impure thoughts about them. I need a witness for my innocents...
I don't want to got through something like that again...
He then realized he should probably elaborate on what he was saying to Lavi...
WAIT UH! Look, so, I don't think she's pretty, I just am saying she's a nice looking student and I don't want to be left alone in case...I don't want to be accused of...
He stopped and faced palmed.
Just don't leave me, eh?

She chuckled a bit to rid herself of embarrassment before looking over to the new comer
I mean sure I can but aren't you assuming a lot with that student. I mean unless you know her. I thought I told you before I'll do anything to help a friend. So if you feel uncomfortable around female students alone with you I can 'assist you'. I mean you are really handsome.. I mean compared to the male student. You know what you know what I mean. Of course I'll help
She said closing her eyes at the end of her word vomit.
Just cut your tongue out. It'll do everyone good if you didn't talk

Sadly this was not to be the case as it quickly slipped back down her arm once more and caused Mercy to groan in frustration. With a wave of her hand, Mercy conjured a shimmering skeletal limb that extended and politely took hold of her bag's strap while she carefully placed the delicate book inside. As things stood, she decided to cut the frustration out and make her way someplace she could sit down for a moment to study the text properly, though she found herself with the sensation of eyes on the back of her head. The witch turned and scanned the area with those impossibly green eyes and settled on the form of a taller man and another woman, the man fidgeting his gaze and looking rather nervous. Ordinarily, Mercy wouldn't bother herself with being social, however, she did have a need of someplace to take a seat and didn't know the campus very well, these two seemed at least more comfortable with the area than she was. With the thought that she would come to regret this choice in some way, Mercy took her bag from the skeletal arm, giving a snap of her fingers that caused it to dissipate as if it were never there, and made her way over to the pair, eyes locked on like a shark closing in on its prey. "Pardon," she said, her voice as polite as she could force it to be as annoyed as she was "I have this notebook to study and I need somewhere to..." she paused, running her eyes up and down the male and taking in his body language before sighing and placing a hand on her hip "Okay...What...what's the deal here? You look like I'm about to slap you with a court summons and a thumb drive with CCTV footage." ◢ "Your knowledge is worth nothing until it stands to benefit the rest of the world...

Seva smiled at Lavi when she called him handsome. He didn't think much of it other than she was trying to help him feel better. It worked for a short while until the girl came waltzing up to them.
Co-court!? Wh-what?!
Seva's stomach fell in a pit. He was not looking to go back through what he went through with that other girl. Despite being found innocent it was very stressful and he didn't want to be looked at like a sexual deviant. He was even an abstinent virgin.
Sorry, Last semester was a little rough on me, yeah? I got accused of a crime I didn't commit and I'm just trying to make sure I'm not alone with female students because of it. I figure I should tell you the truth. I'm sorry if you are offended by my actions. I will be okay again someday but I just need a crutch for a while.
He said putting his arm around Lavi
She is accompanying me with all female students that have no affiliations with me, yeah? I really only should be talking to my students anyway.
He said trying to reasonably explain himself.
