“Great!” Nasrin bounced in excitement. “Maybe my family could escort you! If your talk goes well with Papa we also have a guest room that you could stay in, Yunan!” She grinned at him happily. “I would be glad to help someone else from Matori after all!” Then she could introduce him to Layli and he could work towards this shop. Perhaps she could visit in the future one day? As an herbalist in training she was delighted to share any knowledge that would be helpful to creating medicine for those who needed it.

Yunan actually blinked in surprise at her willingness to help. “Are you certain that would not be a hassle?” He asked quietly. “You have already helped me enough and surely I could find some rooms with the traders…” Not that he was trying to be haughty but he actually was feeling slightly bad that the girl was so willing to help him. It was unusual for certain and he was far more accustomed to taking advantage of others and tricking them into being more generous than intended. She was just too pure for him to truly want to harm her. Not that he planned on doing so but it just felt like he was getting things far too easily in this village. Was there some sort of catch to her aid? He was naturally wary of help coming from others so freely and it made him hesitate to accept her offer.

“Of course not!” Nasrin protested with a small pout. “Mama would probably love to swap stories about Matori with you and as it is the traders are in town. There’s usually not enough room at the inn for most of them so you would do better to stay with us. We have the space and you’re a decent person. I have a good eye for that after all.” She nodded firmly. “If anything you could just confirm it with my parents since I wouldn’t have the final say anyways.”

Yunan frowned slightly before giving in. She truly was just too innocent and kind. It made him not want to disappoint her. If anything she was also correct about the traders and he did not wish to spend his nights fighting for a room at some low grade country inn. It would be better to just have something private even if it was a family home. “Fine. I’ll pay your family for their trouble if they agree to host me.” He shook his head, “But as it is we should probably go there so I can talk with your father soon?”

Nasrin grinned as she took her victory. Surely her family would be fine with this, right? “You can talk the details over with them. We’re actually home now.” While they had been walking and looking over the flowers the girl had taken them towards her family’s home. It was a small country cottage with two stories, a thatched roof with a small chimney jutting out and the sides were made of cream and tan stones. Acres of fenced land stretched behind their home, the fields full of various herbs and their own fruits and vegetables for food. A deep well was to the left and they had a greenhouse nearby, the structure nearly as big as her family’s home.
Nasrin was proud of it and did not hesitate to lead Yunan inside. There was even a small foyer for people to take their shoes off so that they didn’t track dirt through the house. Nasrin took off her own shoes and slipped on the clean slippers waiting for her, “You can use that spare pair.” She commented as she gestured towards them. “The kitchen is here to the left and I can start prepping some tea while we wait.” A small sitting room was to the right and there was a washroom next to a couple of spare rooms while the stairs led to her family’s bedrooms upstairs.

“I see.” Yunan nodded as he walked into Nasrin’s home. It looked like the house was a good option in comparison to the inn after all. It looked clean despite a little clutter from her family living in the home and the scent of wood was pleasant. As he took off his boots and swapped into the slippers, Yunan followed Nasrin into the kitchen that had a small dining table and a large fireplace for cooking. It was like a small summer kitchen from one of the noble estates back in Oba and he could appreciate the simplicity of it. “I’ll take anything not too sweet.” He commented as he found himself sitting down at the table to wait for Nasrin.

“Got it.” Nasrin moved through the kitchen and quickly had a kettle on sitting on their stove. “We usually serve guests in the parlor when we know we’ll have a lot of company but other than that we prefer to just use the kitchen here.” She smiled sheepishly, “Hopefully that’s okay with you.” As she prepared the teas she found herself just chatting about various things. “Funny how the weather was nice enough for me to be in town today and that we could meet so easily. I am excited for you to meet my Papa. I’m certain he’ll be interested in what you want to learn. He loves sharing his research after all.”

“It’s fine.” Yunan crossed his legs as he watched her prepare the tea. “I truly appreciate all of your help Nasrin. I’m glad that we met today.” He managed with a small nod before simply listening to her talk about various things. “I hope that your father is as kind as you.” Yunan teased lightly. “I definitely will not forget that I owe you for all of your help today.” Truly it was a good meeting and he felt even more confident that his trip to this village was not a waste. He was one step closer to achieving his goal of opening the store. He simply had to survive a meeting with the girl’s father first.

Nasrin smiled happily. "It's truly no problem. If anything you could maybe remember us if your shop does well. We can always set up a trade arrangement for herbs and the like!" It would help out her family a lot and would give her father and mother more things to do besides simply researching! Not that her father minded researching of course but it would be nice if they could get something going with the back fields that had been abandoned for the last few years. Even Nasrin could help out! As the kettle started to boil tea the girl began imagining all the things that she could plant in the back fields. It truly was fortunate that she had gotten to run into Yunan today!

Yunan let out a laugh. "I'll make note of that. If we order in bulk perhaps we can arrange a discount." It was an optimistic statement considering he didn't even have a store opened yet but Yunan was pretty confident in his business. He had several stores in Tendaji so what would stop him from doing the same in Belrea? Especially if I keep meeting such friendly people like Nasrin. Though he was pretty certain that the girl was pretty rare even in Belrea. It was hard to keep such a happy innocence and generous spirit in this world after all. For now Yunan would appreciate it and do his best to not ruin it for her. Others could potentially harm her spirit in the future but he truly hoped that for her sake she could continue living such a carefree life. It was refreshing to see for certain and it made him want to keep doing business with her family should all go well with the upcoming meeting with her father.
