Day 1 Roll 1:-4 HP, wing pull Roll 2:+1 Flame Length
As if to make up for the blunder that they experienced so soon, Zetigeth's eyes glowed red and the pair went flaming into thread like a fireball. One large sheet disappeared before them just before their wingmate flew into that space, making D'ast sigh with relief.

Though they were in the highest altitude to start out with, the pair were ducking and dodging thread, burning it to ash and nothing, responding perfectly to anything that came their way. Of course it rarely lasted, that good luck, but while they had it D'ast and Zetigeth were determined to do everything they could to utilize it.

You try to flame down some Thread, but your flame comes up short. Whoops! Hopefully your Wingleader didn't see that. Nothing to be done about it now except eat some more firestone, and try to catch the next clump!
The brown must have used the last reserves of the firestone he had chewed and the pain he was in caused him to forget to chew more, because the next flame he spat out failed to char the clump of Thread W'ill had targeted for them. More firestone! he demanded of His. W'ill realized what must have happened and immediately pulled out a chunk and fed it to Faloth. "Sorry, big fella..."

Your dragon is blown completely out of formation, and is too tired to stop it. Fellow wingriders notice, and trumpet warning, but your dragon is just too tired to care. The wind is too much! Moderate Damage -5HP Your dragon also now suffers Fatigue Effect For the next 3 rolled turns your dragon will suffer from Fatigue Effect. Any XP earned during those turns is negated. On the plus side, any negative status effect (i.e. additional Fatigue Effect, Guilt, Bitten Tongue, etc.) is also negated, since your dragon is too tired to care. The only exception is if you get a status that cures Fatigue or your Wingleader/Wingsecond rolls a status cancelling roll.)
Again, the wind pushed them back, this time before they could even get back in formation. Modrioth's hearts burned with quiet rage, and R'aum was more than worried--he hadn't seen his Brown this worn out in quite some time, and they still had so much more of the fall to go...
M'aze and bronze Zeath Both Waves - Hour 1 Round 1 HP: 37 Status: Roll 1/5 Target Accuracy: 10 Flame Length: 9 General Stamina: 9 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 9 Pain Resilience: 9 Instinct: 8 Luck: 8 +1

They were off! M'aze and Zeath appeared from Between in the thick of things, Thread falling all around them and their wing. Zeath didn't waste any time, reacting at the sight of the silvery strands by breathing a searing flame immediately. M'aze gave a little whoop of delight as the bronze caught a rather large sheet of the stuff, burning it to ash. Now that's how to start a fight!

Day 1 Roll 1:-4 HP, wing pull Roll 2:+1 Flame Length Roll 3:+1 Luck Roll 4:-6 HP, bad scoring
Of course the pair had thought too soon and just as they were getting comfortable in their grind, the thread started to surround them as if it was more thread than actual air... in the air. Zetigeth was battered, winds pushing at him and thread scoring his sides and legs, a hole appearing in his right wingsail, small though it was it hurt and he roared as he flamed everything around him from all sides, his flame not feeling long enough at all.

Your dragon asks for a few more pieces of firestone to chew. Unfortunately, they wind up chomping down on their tongue instead of their stone! This is going to distract your dragon for the next two rolls. [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 2 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. Should you roll a prompt with the possibility of damage, take the max damage allotted for your size/color automatically but it will also end the Tongue Bitten Effect immediately.] [Nullified due to Fatigue]
This time, when R'aum tossed Modrioth more firestone, he was met with a sudden sharp growl--he hadn't heard his dragon make that sound before. I. Bit my tongue. That is all. Oh, Mo... R'aum winced, pressing his own tongue to the roof of his mouth at the thought--considering Modrioth's teeth, he was surprised he hadn't hurt worse. We'll do something about that when this is over, alright? Get you some numbweed so it doesn't sting as much. That is going to taste utterly repulsive. Modrioth huffed, pushing himself to rejoin the rest of his wing. They weren't far behind them now, and with a little more effort, he was sure he'd make it. And you're going to have to apply it so many times, too. True, but better that than it hurting for the next few days, right? Besides, I'm willing to do a few rounds of it for you. ...I suppose.

Day 1 Roll 1:-4 HP, wing pull Roll 2:+1 Flame Length Roll 3:+1 Luck Roll 4:-6 HP, bad scoring Roll 5:-8 HP, Betweened into thread clump
Ichor was flowing down Zetigeth's pale legs as he flew, flame blasting, firestone cracking between his teeth every so often. He was already aching but it didn't take long in the highest altitude. It was then that the first real problem occurred, the first problem that sent them to the Healers anyway. Zetigeth had seen the clump coming their way and D'ast sent the coordinates of a leap that would keep them from being hit by it as it was too close to avoid, but right as they popped from Between another sheet had slid into that area.
Agony flashed through the small brown's body and he screamed as the pair were wrapped in thread from all sides. The hole in his wingsail was making it difficult to focus as he knew just a little bit more thread would open it further, to dangerous size. Despite his inability to focus, the brown disappeared in a flash, heading to the healers.

8. You take a direct hit from Thread! The question is, where!? Roll a D4 2. This hits your dragon's face and eye! Your beast screeches in pain, and hops immediately back to the Weyr. Moderate Damage -5 HP It's up to you on how much face damage it does. If their eye is okay, they can return to their Wing. If there's eye damage, or possible worse damage than listed, have them land to get checked by a healer.
This was not the way to start a fight! Almost as soon as the ash blew away the duo found themselves facing down a rather massive sheet of Thread. M'aze tried to help Zeath keep an eye on it all, but as they were flaming down one clump a huge tangled ball caught Zeath directly in the face. M'aze felt the air freeze all around him as Zeath returned to the Weyr on pure instinct.

4. Thread hits your leg and side, as well as your dragon's back and shoulders. Though you immediately jump between, some of the Thread is partially protected by your riding gear. As you return from its cold, and continue on the fight, it takes a moment to realize the wriggling Thread has eaten through your clothes, and is starting to burrow into you!!! GET BACK BETWEEN AND BACK TO THE WEYR TO BE DUNKED! Major Damage: -12 HP Your next post must be with the healers so you can get dunked into the pools, in hopes of drowning the borrowing Thread. Death is also an option.
The cold snap of between takes them directly over Keogh Hold, and though they both would have liked time to at least visit a certain pair, the fight had to come first. The drive to do better, to be better -- he had his dads to impress, his wingleader. He’d spent so long healing, between himself and Pellereth through constant injury. Though color mattered little of them, they were bronze; they wanted to live up to expectations, to make those dearest proud. Pellereth’s drive to prove himself was to catch the eye of a certain lady, though perhaps I’lin’s own could be also said of her rider…
The wind was whipping while up so high, and while Pellereth readied to flame a thick patch of thread -- a sudden gust of wind blew up sharply. The tumbling clump was suddenly skirting around, missing Pellereth’s neck by a mere handwidth as it seemed to grow sentient, crawling up the bronze’s shoulder and back. It bit heavily into I’lin’s leg and side, instantly starting in on his riding gear. With the jump in mind, they snapped between, and reappeared. Nullified and safe, Pellereth wheeled to sear another clump, determination set into his red eyes.
Yet as I’lin settled in to grab another handful of firestone, something.. didn’t feel right. Maybe he could blame the wind and pounding emotions, but it isn’t until a soft wince of pain rapidly grows into sharp lances of stabbing, searing pain that I’lin’s gloved hands are scrabbling at the sight, and the horror setting in that not all of the thread had been killed from their trip between.
’Pell! Pellereth!’ There’s a wildfire of panic settling in, between himself and his dragon’s confusion at this sudden fiery pain across their bond. ’Home! Quick!’ He’s shakily quick to call up an image of High Reaches, and in a moment, the pair snap between and out of sight.

A clump of Thread catches you on your leg. You quickly hop Between, easing the sting of the burn. It hurts, but you're going to fight through the pain. Healers can wait. +1 Pain Resilience
Just before they slipped back into formation, a wisp of thread hit them from the side, wrapping around R'aum's leg--his eyes went wide at the sudden spike of pain, silver strands eating into his riding leathers with horrifying speed before the endless cold of between caused it to shrivel and die. When they emerged, they were back in their proper position, and R'aum bit down on his tongue to suppress any sounds from slipping out. Was it your bad leg...? Yeah. It's-- I'll be alright. We'll get to it later.
Burning Aces Ri’ven of Brown Hoath HP: 40 Status Effect: N/A XP: Target Accuracy: 7 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 8 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 6 Pain Resilience: 7 Instinct: 7 Luck: 6
Day 1 Roll 1: Nothing
Hoath could never be called the most agile dragon in the sky, but for a large sized brown he seemed to do quite well really. Turns of experience helped but High Reaches was the best Weyr he could have trained at and he thanked every training course he and his rider had taken as he barrel rolled out of the way of a clump that would have sizzled one of his glorious wings into ash and ichor. Ri'ven had the audacity to be in a decent mood on threadfall day, so the least that Hoath could do was be in an equally decent mood.
