"England," he waved his hand and, confident she was more than capable of looking after himself he moved towards his own door. "That's where they're from, turned out in the long term they weren't such huge fans of living here indefinitely," he explained. They'd certainly enjoyed their time here and made a life, but in the end they had still been called home and off they had gone... In a way it kept them safe, after all, driving across state was typically easier than flying to an entirely different part of the world.

Fortunately he hadn't infuriated anyone enough yet to get on one of those hit lists.

"I visit them so it's not as if we're never in contact," he added with a chuckle and ducked his head to take his seat. Lips pursed, he started the car and gave her a raise of his brow at her remarks regarding his job. He wouldn't have called his current state of affairs a healthy work-life balance at this moment in time but he'd get there eventually.

"You haven't seen me in the mornings when I've had a rough night," he admitted. "Turns out I'm not the world's friendliest morning person when sleep deprived." he admitted.

"My partner gets plenty of material out of it though when he sees me stumble in to the office," he conceded. Ah, said partner who at least had the good graces to get him coffee in the morning before he proceeded to troll him and provide him with a pounding headache. Such a shame he couldn't trade him out for someone new, he was tempted on occasions when he was particularly groggy!
