"I have a sister but she stayed nearer to my parents or she had been last I checked. I do need to go visit them soon, they probably think I abandoned them." He rubbed the back of his neck. "They are really understanding though. Mom is spunky, kind of like you, I think you two would get along. Dad is more like me."

Ai'ian was a gentle soul, for all that he had chosen the longsword path.

"I think he will always regret not being a smith."

"Jauhar," he said looking at her in wonder. If she was willing to travel with him after Matori, that must mean he didn't annoy her or she wouldn't have said it.
A little shard of his heart clicked back into place, but you couldn't tell unless you happened to be staring right in his eyes as his face was passive.

"I think Mom feels more at home there, and Dad's home is where Mom is."

He smiled as she told him about her big family. "Reunions must be just a hoot!"

"My sister is fun, I have been kinda hoping for the last couple of years that my parents will have more kids, a new sibling or two or four might be fun and they are such good parents."

He adored them to peices they were just so cute together.

"Yet no new babies have arrived." He wanted a big family like she had, so that at any one point, you never felt alone. He also envied the easy relationship his parents had with each other, they still snuggled. He wanted something like that.

Other coulples he saw just seemed to missing something and those were the ones who usually didn't last. Like there was a key nameless componant that acted as the cement.

His parents had it, Ruulu and Tsallin had it. Those two would never split. Tsa had been Ruulu's man since they were kids.

"Thea why is dating so hard?"

He smiled at the thought. "I hope so what an awesome homecoming that would be."

"Really? No one has asked? I thought they would be lined down the block, since you know you have that sparky kind of energy. I haven't dated either, I suppose I am a bit young still, I haven't even had a proper crush yet."

Well until now but he didn't want to tell her that quite yet. Just the thought made him blush and look down.

"Girls usually travel in pack and stare at my feelers. You at least were not afraid." It had tickled when she had played with his antennae.

"I have been told I have a brooding look too somedays." He was a thinker, and he did not feel the urge to shout everything he thought like Ruulu. He allowed her to touch him, she had never hurt him had in fact caught him so he didn't break his neck not too long ago. What she did next though rattled him to his core and he froze, unable to walk. A suspiciously watery..something clouded his vision before he could blink it away.

"I...will." His voice grated. He reached for her hand and kissed the back of it. "Thank you."

His heart was a molten sea of emotion and he was not sure what to do about it. He hadn't felt anything that had been this strong not to mention the mish mash of feels.

He cleared his throat, stumbled but started to walk again. Not realizing he had kept her hand in his.

"I am really good at swimming, it would be a shame to be in Matori and not be swimming." Looking for pearls sounded like a lot of fun to him. "I would like that. And I am overjoyed that you like my company." And that it wasn't to conscript him into being a rider.

"How do you feel about birds? I have a kinfa but he makes me a little conspicuous so I let him stay with his friends back at home."
