I think that they wouldn't even know where to start/what to do if it weren't for Cloud. Physically yes, if they somehow managed to blunder their way to Sephiroth, but I don't doubt that if Cloud weren't there they'd still be out there sabotaging mako reactors.

Gamewise through stats and stuff yeah, but not storywise cloud is the one who holds the entire group together.

I mean Cloud was the leader and the duct tape so they needed him.
but hell they would kick a**.
so you could kill sephy without cloud, but you know they wouldn't have got to him without cloud.

they totally could, assuming Vincent went immediately into Chaos and Cait Sith was lucky with the Slots and Dice

It could happen I guess...They would need Yuffie and Valentine, at there best..at least Level 89 each. All the best wepons and the best Limit moves.

Sephiroth was suppose to be without peer. In the story line Cloud wasn't even able to withstand him till near the end. If Cloud had been subdued, the party would have been mince meat. None were up to par with Cloud and Cloud was barely up to handleing Sephiroth. The closest party memeber after Cloud who would have stood a chance would have been Vincent in my opinion. A close second to him would have been Red XIII. But all in all without Cloud, the team would have died horribly, and with out the team, Cloud would have died horribly.

Well, Red, Vincent and Cid could do it. I amde each one too damn subborn to give up. Red kept fighting Hojo on his own even though he was near death, poisoned and generally screwed up. And it wasn't his 3rd limit break.

It would be a tough fight, but I don't think they can beat sephiroth.
