That was until the white and silver doe had made herself known from atop a rock, telling everyone they couldn't stay. That was perfectly alright with him, he hadn't intended to. He had a nice little place back in Sunset Acres to return to.

Then the strange group of rabbits he had traveled to the Pool with started protesting. Maybe he hadn't been paying enough attention before, but he never realized before that they actually wanted to live at the Pool. He had sympathy for them being banished from their original home and all, but really they couldn't just come in and do whatever they wanted. There were rules and other rabbits here that they had to contend with.

"Perhaps we should consult the local spirits and see what they have to say on the matter. They will give us a fair decision."

Bark nodded sympathetically as he listened to other guardians trying to keep the peace nearby. Wow this was a lot of rabbits. "There are so many of you, I'm so sorry you all lost your home." He shrugged and gestured around to the pool. "This is a beautiful place, I agree. It's why we protect it," and with that he nodded to his fellow guardians as well as Moonbeam. "The pool is for all rabbits, so no one can actually live here. There are lots of beautiful places nearby though! And lots of nice warrens to be a part of if that is something you or others might be interested in. There's a place for all rabbits here! Just not.... here..." He trailed off looking at the pool and back to the doe. Okay so that wasn't super elegant... he was new to all this after all.

Moonbeam seemed mildly distressed at the strange rabbit's outburst. "This land belong to the warren. Long have we tended it and cared for it, so it could be a place where all rabbits could come to visit. But to stay requires a higher commitment. We do not want to be forced to ensure that you move on, but we will if we have to."

She was trying to make out all the chatter surrounding her. It seemed so odd! Giants? Banishment? And where on earth had all these odd rabbits come from?

Red approached the pool but halted at the sight of the massive crowd that had gathered in the drizzling rain. "What....?" She looked behind her to the two rabbits she was half dragging, half pulling along as they stumbled all over themselves in sick delirium. She herself felt pretty okay, but she couldn't just LEAVE these two idiots to die in the grass, so she had hauled them to their paws with a lot of shoving and cursing and yelling until they were more or less on their feet, and dragged them to Nymph's Pool hoping that maybe some refreshing water could help bring them back from the brink of death. She sighed as she looked out at the crowd, apparently everyone else had had that idea? There were definitely some rabbits here she had never seen before. And some of them looked... quite odd. This was going to be a great tale to share at the warren upon her return! She sighed and turned to the two snotty rabbits behind her. "Come on you two, let's get you a little closer, maybe we can figure out what exactly is going on here."

Popo and Leaf blearily tried to follow Red's directions but there were many complications. One, they had just met this doe while in the throws of the worst sick ever. Two, they could barely get their weak, shivery bodies to move. And three, they both just wanted to lay down and close their eyes and never move again. So it was pretty slow going, but with a lot of help from the red dyed doe, they were able to stumble their way closer to the water, bumping and jostling a lot of soft bodies along the way, though both were too out of it to apologize or even know who or what they were bumping into.

Earth Shatter had been very quiet as she had followed her group and the others to the pool. She was baffled by a lot in this new place, but mostly by the way no one seemed to look at them with disgust.

She was wholly not surprised that they would not be allowed to stay, however. Why would these giants want them any more than their last home? They were too sick to belong. "The pool was a lie," she said severely, speaking up for the first time. "We will not be allowed anywhere. We are unwanted."

Redeemed
User ImageFinally old enough to make his own decisions Aster had slowly begun to explore the world around him this past winter. As an adult bun now making it on his own he had hoped to travel around and find a place where he could settle down and start creating a family of his own. Before he began his journey, however, he wanted to consider the Nymph Pool as a potential home. He knew their rules on kits could hinder him in creating a family of his own, but as someone who'd been brought into this world through the Nymph pool Aster had deemed it was only right for come back to his birth place before deciding to venture towards the other regions.

As Aster entered the warren he spotted many familiar faces that had taken care of him as a young parentless child until he was old enough to take care of himself. He wasn't close to any of the attendants or guardians themselves as each were always busy with thier own duties, but he still saw them as his family. Each in their own way helped shape him to be who he was today in their own way.

Going deeper into the Nymph's Pool it became clear that something huge was happening. All around him people were making a commotion yelling and pushing as they made their way to towards the sacred pool. Aster's first thought was that maybe a recent offering had possibly brought about a new kind of child different from the rest. There was always a flurry of excitement when a new breed or mix of children made their way into the world. As he made his way closer, however, it became clear that was not the case this time. With the huge crowd already present he couldn't get to close to the pool itself, but standing on his hinde legs he could just make out a rather mysterious group of individuals at the edge of the pool talking excitedly. In total their looked to be nine of them just marvling at the pool itself seeming to be overjoyed to be at Nymph's Pool. The whole thing in itself was kind of overwhelming for Aster. Just who were these people and why was everyone so crazy about them?

Pondering this thought he spotted Moonbeam position herself into an authoritative position before making her declaration to the crowd. He already knew people weren't going to take that well especially with these mysterious individuals captivating their attention.

Drift looked around at all the chatter as more and more rabbits joined in the chaotic grouping. He had never seen so many rabbits all milling around in one place outside a warren gathering. He thought of protesting or asking how to get these rabbits to be allowed to stay, when a giant sneeze suddenly escaped him. He tried to cover his nose with a paw.
"ACHOO!" he sniffled, then looked with almost comical horror at the snot on his paw. After staying clear of the sickness so long, he had started to think it wasn't even a big deal. Or that he was immune or something. Now he HAD IT??! That was the last straw, he turned and started making his way through the crowd back the way they had come. He had a home to go to and a soft bed to curl in, it wasn't worth it to loiter out here with these diseased strangers. Suddenly he didn't care where they lived, or who's problem they were.

Seesfar looked around plaintively with his one clouded eye, but all he could make out were shadowy shapes of giants all around. They were surrounded for sure, and now being told they could not stay. He trembled not from the rain soaking his fur, but from grief and outrage. A voice nearby caught his attention, it was one of the giants that had traveled with them.

"Yes! YES! It was foretold, this is the Pool of Legend, the spirits guided us here and WE LIVED! They have already favored us!" He had a zealous ring to his voice, he fervently believed this to be true. The giants knew of the spirit world though? An interesting twist! He mused to himself, and wished he had had time to consult the spirits before all the giants had gone mad. "Do not lose hope my fellows!" He groped a paw out to pat at the giant. "Thank you Mister Giant, please help your kind listen to reason!" He begged the rabbit.

As time past and the sky opened up, Loam grew more miserable in the sea of rabbit. Her ears hung lower than normal and her expression grew dour. A sneezed surprised her and wiped her nose. It was snot.

"You have got to be kidding me. There are too many rabbits here, it's noisy and now I'm sick. This is nuts. Everyone needs to just go home and come back later....in smaller groups. We aren't prepared for this kind of flood."

Loam was tired and wet and now sneezing and she just wanted peace, warmth and to be dry.

Soot found a spot where he had a nice view of the doe on a rock and the group of odd rabbits that everyone was curious about. He listened intently as they talked and what they said. He'd been rather behind on this story and journey and wasn't sure how much he could glean that no one else had. But that's how it went with story telling. Perhaps he could put one of his classic spins on it and make it more entertaining. And then he sneezed. Well great, now he has the sickness, he was sure of it. But I guess that should be no surprise in a group of rabbits this large. Looking around he noticed several sneezing and some that looked half dead. Well great....

Shale seemed a little perplexed. "This is not rabbit-kind. This is where the giants and the monsters all live. This is well known fact!" She almost scoffed at Clouded Dawn. "Perhaps some rabbits have managed to eke out survival, but this is a wild place, a dangerous place. This is not a place for rabbit-kind, except perhaps at this pool." As the kits distracted the questioning rabbit, Shale turned back to the rabbit perched on the rock. She seemed to be leading these huge ones.

Her nose twitched. They had come so far, and braved these lands. She let out a long wail. "Who are you to condemn my kind to their death?!? You are not our Elders!" She reared up, trying to make herself look larger. "If we leave here we will surely be eaten while wandering the wilds! Torn asunder! How could you do this to us?!?"

Earth Shatter sighed at Shale's pointed anger. "The Giants do not care for us or our well being. They would happily see us gone."

She cut her eyes at the sick doe demanding they come back later. "This is the smallest our group gets. We are vulnerable to the monsters any fewer. We will die."

Abraxas wondered the land often and had gotten quite good at becoming stealthy and blending in to his surroundings unless he wanted to be seen. He had traveled around the place he had chosen to call his home only entering the different burrow territories with permission of coarse. Though he was a solitary sole on the surface at his core he was always drawn to others though his appearance may put others on edge at first meeting. Lately though spring had finally made it back around sickness was lingering as he traveled towards Nymph's Pool. He didn's normally venture to that area but something had him pulling that way and he couldn't fight it any longer. In his travels he met a doe he had became acquantances with. He wasn't too open with her yet but he was getting there as they both headed there drawn by an unknown force. Brax stuck to the shadows of the trees and bushes as they moved while the doe, Antheia was in full display of the sun as they walked closer to their destination. He couldn't help but smile as her lighter spots seemed to glow in the sun and shinned like stars. But as soon as she glanced his way he shifted his gaze to the path in front of him.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Antheia caught her awkward new friend glancing at her from the corner of her eye but as soon as she turned to him he would look away. She couldn't help but smile to herself. He was an awkward one, but she could see his kindness. When she first met him he was fumbling trying to make a kit stop crying but his scarred face only made the situation worse, bless him. She was able to get him to soften his harsh tone and tell a elaborated story of 'battle' to the little one and all was well and thus the friendship began. They had crossed paths a few times since then and she has broken through his shell a little more each time. She knows that he is a big softy that has had a rough hand dealt is all. Antheia stops in her tracks as they get close to Nymph's Pool. They can hear the chatter already. Something big is going on!! They exchange looks and pickup their pace and hurry to see what is going on.

They both wiggled their way through as they heard the conversations of giants and spirits, banishment and survival. What was going on here?! Antheia and Abraxas knew Nymph's Pool to be a place for those wishing to have family and feel whole to come and have a chance to grasp that! to be blessed by the sprits or what may be with that chance! Its a place for everyone!! Abraxas pushes his way forward with a passion Theia has never seen before but he freezes as he gets a clear view of the one eye'd rabbit at the edge of a pool, but he regains his composure and clears his throat and looks to the grey doe.

"I come from where true giants and monsters roam! That is not here, not now. Rabbits live here in these Warrens in peace with one another. With respect and honor! I belong to no one of them, Im but a traveler between but I see them. There is room and space to make a home. We all have pasts, we have scars. Just because you can't physically live here at the pool doesnt mean there isn't a home for you maybe in this warren or another or somewhere in between. There are plenty of us that live outside of the Warrens but we live in peace with eachother and we help eachother."

Antheia pushed forward and bowed to the leader Moonbeam in apology if they overstepped "Forgive our intrusion your leadershipness. Abraxas isnt quite himself.", then turned to the same Grey doe and also addresses the brown doe. "NO ONE will be condemned to die an most defiantly No one will be eaten!!"

User ImageSunshadow had been on quite the trek. While the brothers had gone to Sunset Acres she had struck out towards the Dales, in case more information could be found there. She'd come up bust. But there had been whispers of a group making their way towards Nymph's Pool, and now here she was on this most drizzly of spring days.

Because of all the whispers she wasn't too surprised and the sheer number of rabbits she was able to survey. She even noticed a few other Bough residents. Not surprising. But they were probably here for the story more than the raw truth. She found herself a calm nook at the base of a tree and settled in, listening keenly to what was happening around her.

Reflection nodded his agreement with what his fellow Guardians were saying. Yeah, he could have phrased his words a little more nicely. Maybe. After the majority of this group left. If they ever did.

Siiiigh.

Okay, now he was going from slightly irritated to down right frustrated and annoyed. Reflection just narrowed his gaze at those that spoke up the loudest. They just didn't seem to fathom why they could not stay! It was ludicrous and now there were more rabbits showing up to investigate all the commotion beginning to brew and... he really just did not like outsiders. Period.

"Giants?" Reflection growled, looking around. "I see no giants here. Only you and your group, who question us of this warren, that have sworn to protect this pool." He glanced at those of the warren that had been gathering around. Why couldn't these visitors just... visit and go.

The buck watched the doe that seemed to be the most vocal of the group. Condemn her kind to death? Not their Elders? Why did these rabbits speak so strangely!

"Others leave here. Frequently. Daily. They have not been eaten while wandering the wilds." Reflection added in dryly.

(dice roll for Chamomile!)

Chamomile had been planing to make a visit to Nymph's Pool, wishing to visit the sacred waters and see if their whimsical ways might grant her what she wanted in life. It was probably a long shot, she knew, but Chami had heard rumors of rabbits that visited the pools and found themselves gifted with something special! While just what that "gift" actually was, wasn't very clear... she had decided to make the journey there.

When she had finally arrived, the doe was quite shocked to see so many other rabbits had thought the same thing! Was it always this busy here? Maybe the rainy weather had brought them all together? Confused, and a little distraught, Chami listened to the shouting that began and felt her heart squeeze at the sad bunch of rabbits that seemed to be at the center of it all.

"How sad, to be forced to leave your home." She said quietly.

User Image Clouded Dawn had to take a few moments to make sure her kits were settled and not going to run off again. By the time she started paying attention to the conversation again. it took her a few moments to figure out what was being said. There was a lot of shouting now, but it seemed the strange rabbits did not think rabbits lived here. Despite the overwhelming evidence in front of them.

"How can you say there are no rabbits in this land when there are many rabbits right here?" she asked the rabbit who had spoken to her. "There are no monsters here, no giants. Just rabbits, and birds. Nothing will eat you." Well, aside from maybe the big hunting birds, but it seemed prudent not to mention them.

"As the rabbits of the pool keep saying, most rabbits do not stay at the pool. They may come in hopes of being blessed with kits, as I have, but then they leave. Yet there are many other warrens where rabbits gather for a common purpose, and you could seek one of those if you want to live with a large group. Or other rabbits, like myself, live alone. It is perfectly safe. I have no qualms about taking my kits back to my burrow and tending to them on my own." That last bit was also maybe not entirely true. There was always the worry of finding enough food, and keeping the kits from doing something silly like jumping into a river. But she certainly did not fear monsters would carry them off.

Catkin had been out foraging, trying to find something good to eat. On a drizzly day in early spring, there was not much that he found appetizing, and he roamed farther than he meant to. He was surprised when he heard a loud commotion off by the pool. Curious, he hopped over and hovered on the edges to try and find out what was going on.
