She was still shivering though it was more from a case of fear that from being unbalanced, though that did contribute. Tatsuko was worried for her friends. She didn't know where they were. If she had gotten sucked into the book, maybe they did as well. And, if what Jin had said earlier was right... about how some of the people like to take advantage of girls in that area, then her friends might be in serious danger. The people might have done something horrible to her female friends... and Toshiro... they could have killed him. She sniffled a little as a few tears slid down her cheeks. She didn't normally cry, but when worry got to her, it became quite easy.
Tatsuko sat back down slowly, wiping the tears away with the back of her hand. "We were all in the library... then the lights... and then... what if something bad happened to them? What if... what if..." She sniffled a little bit more, as she tried to calm down. She had to think rationally, even though it was a little hard at the moment.

He put his hand on her shoulders and turned so she was facing him. "There is a story, about a girl who is supposed to come to our world to save it. The Priestess must gather the Warriors of Seiryuu, and summon the beast god." He pulled his left sleeve up, the blue dragon tattoo when half way up his bicep, then at the tail, a blue character showed on his skin, it was for horn. "I am Suboshi of the Celestial Warriors of Seiryuu. I think you are supposed to be our priestess."

Tatsuko wiped away the newly fallen tears as she looked at his arm. She had seen the tattoo earlier, and the character hadn't been there before. She looked up at him, nodding slightly. "I know the story... I've heard it before. One of my friends... her great grandmother would tell my friends and me the story any time we were over there... but... didn't the Priestess already come?" She was a bit confused. How could she be the Priestess of Seiryuu if there had already been a Priestess of Seiryuu?

"Yes, the Priestess came, but our land faces great peril again. I don't know about the other lands, but things are not right in Kutou. If you're friends also got brought here, then maybe the other Lands need their Priestesses as well. They are probably in the other lands, with their own Warriors to protect them. We should get you to the palace as soon as you are feeling better, the Emperor likely knows more then I do. You must decide on whether you wish to be our Priestess Tatsuko." He reached up and with a gentle hand, wiped away the rest of her tears. "I wonder if you are the woman I've been waiting my whole life for."

Tatsuko nodded, looking down. "Is there any way we could find out? I would feel better if I knew that they were there rather than..." She bit her lip, not wanting to think about what could have happened to them. The thought of them being injured or worse dead, was too much for her to think about. She lifted her head, a small blush across her face as she nodded. "I'll become the Priestess... but I have to know if my friends are alright. I would never be able to forgive myself if something bad happened to them..."
In truth, it was her fault that they got dragged into the book. She had wanted to go study today, and had taken them all along with her. If she hadn't wanted to study, they all might have been at the arcade, or at the movies. But, if they were all in the book and something happened... it would be solely her fault. So, she had to find them. She had to know if they were ok.

"Well, we'd have to ask the rulers of the other countries if they are there. The only other option is to go to the other lands ourselves." He looked at her, then smiled a bit. "But I'll go with you where ever you need to go Priestess. I swear on my life to protect you. Though, I don't know how well I can do alone."

With a bit of resolve, Tatsuko nodded, a small smile crossing her lips. "Thank you... well... I suppose the best option is to meet with the Emperor. Maybe he can talk to the other rulers, and we can find out that way." Truthfully, she wanted to go look for them herself. However, she remembered the story... she did have to find the other warriors. And Jin did mention he might not be able to protect her on his own. So, if she was going to find her friends, she would need to find her warriors first.

He nodded, "Alright, lets get you calmed down, and drink up some tea. I'll go talk to my father and see if I can get an audience with His Majesty. I'm sure he'll see us right away, but I should at least observe protocol." He had the serving girl pour her some more tea. "I'll be right back." He got up gracefully and rolled the maps up, then head out to find his father.

Tatsuko nodded, and took a sip of her tea. She watched him leave, and smiled slightly. Well... I suppose I got my wish... I did always sort of wish I could be like the Priestess of Seiryuu. And now... I am the Priestess of Seiryuu. She sighed, taking another sip. I have to find the others. I have to! It's my fault they are here... Jin said they might have gone to the other countries. I wonder where exactally they are.
She let her mind continue to work while Jin was out of the room. She was still caught up in all of this... she didn't quite believe it was all happening. It still felt like a dream to her.

Suboshi was gone for awhile, but when he came back, he was in a hurry. "The Emperor is quite anxious to meet you Tatsuko. He wants us to come to the palace immediately. My father has a carriage waiting outside." He offered his hand to help her up, then escorted her outside. The covered carriage was waiting, and the driver opened the door for them. Jin waited for the Priestess to get inside, so he could help her if she needed it.

Tatsuko was in the middle of sipping her tea when Suboshi came back in. She gulped, her eyes wide. "Really? Oh my... ummm..." She was nervous again. She had been able to calm herself down a bit, but the thought of meeting an Emperor got her nervous again. She nodded, and walked with Jin out to the carriage. She hadn't seen a real carriage before, as odd as that sounded. She had seen them in movies, but never in real life. Or, atleast, in person. She very carefully entered it, having Jin help her. She was still a little dizzy, though most of it had passed.

The ride there didn't take long, and soon they were walking up the main carpet to the Royal Palace. "Just be reverent and you'll be fine." Jin whispered to her as the palace guards circled them to form an honor guard. "Be sure to get on your knees and bow, that's important. Though I figure he will probably be quite leniant with you, since you aren't from this world." The guard lead them to the main doors of the Audience Chamber.

Tatsuko nodded, taking Jin's words to heart. She would do her best, but she wasn't sure how good that would be. She remembered the last time she had tried to do something reverantly. It didn't work out at all. She really didn't want to repeat that mistake.
Once they were lead to the doors of the Audience Chamber, Tatsuko looked over at Jin nervously, and gently pushed the doors open. She took a few careful steps inside, until she was just inside the doors before she dropped to her knees to bow. There, she waited until the Emperor addressed her.
"So... you are supposed to be the girl of legend? Come closer, I don't bite," the Emperor said, looking down at the girl. She definately wasn't dressed like any young woman he had seen before.
Tatsuko hesitated for a moment, before standing back up, keeping her head bowed the entire time, and taking a few steps forwards. She once again dropped to her knees and bowed.
"You may lift your head. There is no need to keep it bowed, young lady." The Emperor inwardly chuckled a little. She acted as though she had never seen royalty before.
Once again doing as she was commanded, Tatsuko lifted her head to look at the Emperor. He was dressed in relatively simple robes, which was a bit of a shock. She expected him to be dressed rather formally. Though, by the looks of it, he hadn't expected her to arrive...
"Well then," he said watching as Tatsuko lifted her head, "you definately don't appear to be of our world. So, I suppose you really are the Priestess of Seiryuu. If that is the case, then our country needs you. If you have not noticed, it is quite bright outside. A beautiful, very hot, summer day... even though we are currently in the middle of winter. Things have become very odd. There hasn't been any real rainfall in our country, or any other, in almost ninety years. That is the most minor of the problems. The sun hasn't set in almost that long as well. Even the population has begun to have serious problems... with a very small number of females being born. Nobody has been able to come up with a solution." The Emperor sighed slightly. It was because of all these troubles that he had started going white. He didn't know what the cause of all these seemingly unrelated problems were. All he knew is that if the Priestess was able to summon Seiryuu, perhaps everything would go back to normal.

Jin stayed in his bowed position, listening to the Emperor's words. He knew all of this of course, but just to here the Emperor speak them, it made his heart sink in his chest. Please my Lady, you can save us, I know you can. He glanced up a bit, to look at the Priestess standing there, though you seem awfully frail. Don't worry, I'll protect you to my last breath. I swear to this.

Tatsuko was a little puzzled by what he described. The sun doesn't set? No rain? And a low amount of females? What on earth is going on? That doesn't seem possible. Nodding, she smiled slightly. "I'll find the Celestial Warriors of Seiryuu and I'll find a way to fix everything. Though, I don't know how I am going to find the warriors..."
The Emperor chuckled. "That, I can provide a solution to. Located in the Seiryuu Shrine is a handmirror and a pair of earrings. The Handmirror was given to the kingdom of Kutou by the Emperor of the Heavens, in anticipation of your arrival. It will help you find the warriors. The Earrings are the Seiryuu Shinzaho. I have a feeling you will need them. Also, there is a member of my staff that is one of the Celestial Warriors. You have already acomplished part of your feat." He smiled, and clapped his hands. A lone warrior appeared from outside of the door, on his knee. "Take them to the Shrine of Seiryuu. And spread the word that we have found our Priestess."
"Wait..." Tatsuko said, looking back up at the Emperor. "I am sorry if this is rude, but I was wondering if it was possible to find out whether the other countries have found their Priestesses. Please... I need to know if my friends are alright."
Looking down at her, the Emperor was a bit perplexed. "You are friends with the other Priestesses? Very well. When the other countries announce they have found their Priestesses, you will be informed." He gave a small wave of his hand, indicating that they were excused. He had other things he had to attend to today... and while he would like to spend the day chatting with the new Priestess, he would be unable to.
Tatsuko smiled, bowing repeatedly. "Thank you, sire. Thank you so much!" She looked over at Jin, and had a wide grin on her face. She could do both now... she could find her friends, and do her duty as the Priestess of Seiryuu.
