Nix laughed. "I won't poison people if I'm not trying to," he said. "So don't you worry your fluffy lil' head." He patted Buzzi on the head with a smile. "And I dunno, you definitely won that bout. I'd have probably done better if I was expecting it, but," he let out an impressed sort of 'whew,' "As a surprise thing, that's really great."

Arthur looked at the both of them being overly polite to one another. "Well, Nox seems to think it's your win too. So - want prize are you going to ask for?" He said, looking over at the very tomato-red Buzzi.
Why was the man so flushed? Arthur hadn't said anything suggestive which was hard when his friend was talking about giving tongue as an attack.

This whole situation felt way too familiar.
The teasing, the head patting... All of this felt like he had experienced it before, but only from the other side.
.... This racing of his heart and the redness of his face wasn't what Toby had been feeling too, right?
Did that mean Toby felt the same way about himself as Izzy felt about Nix...?
That they were both super, mega, awesome, amazing people?!
That HAD to be it! And it wasn't a bad feeling! It was a good feeling! It felt incredible to have that sorta admiring attention on him, so yea, it was fine! It was all fine!
"Fine, fine, if you two are gonna insist I won, I know exactly what I'm going to ask for! I want to do that thing we did when you helped me defeat that youma before, but this time, I want to be the one to save you, Nix! And I'm going to show you just how awesome I am too! Then we can be awesome together!"

Nix's eyebrows went up at the demand, and he grinned. "Sure, okay. I dunno how exactly to set that up, but...I'm sure it's possible." He shrugged. "Either way, just cuz you won that little bout doesn't mean you don't have anything to learn!" Nix declared, raising a finger with one hand on his hip. "But that's definitely a good start." He nodded. "Let's get down to the actual business of training, huh?" Kapoodles We probably don't need to go into super high detail of exactly what Nix teaches, but it's the basics: Paying attention to the area, the opponent, what's going on. Moving with purpose. And maybe some actual fighting moves.

”We’ll figure it out. That just means we need to hang out and do this whole training thing and patrolling thing again.” It seemed like Nix recovered from the bite way quicker than what he expected. Given that he was as strong as he was it only made sense, and before he realized it, they were off training again with hits and strikes and actual proper attacks that didn’t involve biting immediately.
And given the differences in power levels between them, Buzzi grew tired much faster than expected,
“Dude, come oooooon, it’s time for a break!” Buzzi whined, flopping down on the dirt over dramatically. “My body isn’t made for all this super powered craziness! Give me a moment to catch my breath!”

Nix blinked a couple times. "A break?" he replied. "Were you and Arthur working out before you got here?" He glanced toward the cat man, and frowned ever so slightly as he realized something was different. "We haven't really done anything, yet!" He bounced on the balls of his feet and grinned. "Guess we gotta work on that too, huh?"

”Hey! Hey, don’t you give me that look! I’ve been a senshi for what, like, a few weeks at most? Perfection takes time, and even though I’m starting off real close to that, you gotta nurture and tend to the fledglings, not work them to death.” How could someone still be that... peppy after all that.
It was kinda annoying in a way, but atleast Nix was kinda cute about it.
“Yeah yeah, gotta work on stamina, blah blah. Arthur was just kinda doing nothing before I got here, but I got school and stuff too, you know. Don’t you? And clubs and jobs and I need to sleep sometimes you know!”

"Well, alright," Nix replied with a shrug. "We'll work on it...after some rest." He nodded. "And, you know, I do sleep. In art class." He laughed. "Going to head home, then?" he asked.

”Dude, you’re not supposed to sleep in class. Art is important! That creative brain juices can be applied to lots of things! And you can make money from it! So you should def to to bed sooner rather than later.” When he was tired, speaking became easier and the whole flustered thing wore off pretty quick. All he wanted now was a snack and a shower. But that could all wait if Nix still had some time.
“... I mean, if you still want to hang out, that’d be cool... To you Iike Tacos? Or Burgers? Arthur and me know this really good truck, or something...” Speaking of the cat, he looked around, finally noticing that Arthur wasn’t a cat, but a man... A man who wasn’t spewing out crazy a** power like when they first met.
“Wait... Wait, Arthur... Are you okay? I don’t feel you or anything!”

Arthur had put away everything from his little picnic while they were training, and had walked up to listen in as Buzzi seemed done with the training he had gone through.
"You should work on your endurance. Even I last a bit longer than that." He pointed out, rather proud of the progress he was making with Nix.
As Buzzi finally noticed, Arthur just smiled sweetly. "Oh that. Oh it's nothing really." He said sweetly, reaching into his shirt collar to pull out a emblem off a chain. "Just found a little way to fix the issue. Now I can go out and not be traced at all. It's been rather nice. Saw a movie yesterday with no issues." He said with a great deal of suppressed excitement.

“Ah, don’t worry about it, Buzzi. You did good,” he said. “Practice makes perfect and all that. “Oh hey,” Nix declared with a grin upon seeing Arthur’s new trinket. “That’s really cool, Arthur! That’ll make coffee trips way easier.” He took a step closer to peer at the emblem. “Did ya make it?”

He didn't like it.
No, he shouldn't have said anything. All of a sudden, Nix's attention was off of him, off of who was really important here. Of course, Arthur was cool and all but he and Nix were having a moment!
"Still can't do anything about those ears and tail though so... I guess you're still a weirdo walking around." It was the truth in the end. Something about furries would probably be said by any barista he came across. Especially if they were young college students, or the people working at his parent's place.
"Buuuuut anyway, that still leaves the question of going to go eat something. Nix, wanna come with me? We can, you know, hang out a little more and talk or something if you want."

He smiled back. "Oh no. It's an artifact as far as I can tell. I found it in our headquarters. I have yet to figure out a way to duplicate it's power to make it accessable to every Mauvian so it's pretty rare for now." He tucked the emblem back into under his shirt. Then, open his pocket, he started to pull out a coat, a hat, and some shoes.
"Going out for coffee and discussing our projects will be a lot easier for now on. I've already go e shopping to get clothes that are less conspicuous then my actual uniform. We can even go and place some orders for the materials we need by the way. Seems our group has a business card we get discounts on as long as we reimburse them." He mentioned. Mauvians always needed materials from hardware stores after all.
Putting in the hat and jacket, he looked far less strange.
"Actually people love my ears and think it's just a headband. I just tuck the tail in. I don't mind so much as rather cute people still approach me." He said with a grin as he knelt to out on his shoes. If they were going to walk, he didn't want his feet to freeze on the cold cement.
"You should come with us, Nix. All work and no play." He quoted.

“Oh, yeah, sure, we can go get something to eat,” Nix replied with a grin and a nod. “Though, uh, is it a good idea for us to go places with you powered down, Arthur? I mean,” He rubbed the back of his neck. “Not to be a downer or anything, but if a negaverser sees you, wouldn’t they be able to figure it out anyway?”

”Well then, we could always go to one of those food trucks that literally don’t care about anything? Just get your food and go. Could always pose as cosplayers or something?” He really really didn’t want to part yet... Heck, he hardly got Nix’s name out of him.
And yet he could hear it, his phone buzz, buzz, buzzing in his pocket...
“... Dammit.” Pulling it out, it was his mom.
Yeah, it was probably an awful idea to keep his every-day phone on him but his mom... No, he really couldn’t lest she keep him trapped in that damned cafe for the next month.
“... Could we maybe reschedule...? Apparently I got caught sneaking out... I better get home before I find myself punished til Christmas...”
