Never had he wished it more to be possible to be in more than one place at one time. However, after multiple assurances that the kits would be fine back at home for a short time with their caretakers, Wildstripe had given in and accepted the invitation to join the Gathering. He had never been to one of these before, but given all that had happened in the last couple seasons in his life, well, perhaps the invitation shouldn't have been such a surprise.
Especially given current circumstances.
While he had spared a few glances ahead towards Wildflower, leading the way with Shadowstar, Wildstripe had stayed back in the group keeping some distance from the Deputy. Best not to advertise recent developments to Lightningclan, it had been said. That was fine, he was satisfied to stay back and keep alongside another member of the clan. "You sure you're alright there?" "I told ya' I'm fine, youngin'! I missed enough of these, and I dunno how many more seasons I got left, so I ain't missin' another one!"Wildstripe just chuckled in reply, keeping pace beside the Elder. Fair enough. From a quick glance ahead, Copperspark wouldn't be the only Elder in attendance. Already, Rabbitleap had run off to greet their old friend, Flinttuft. Good to see that he seemed well. Perhaps he could say hello later.
As it were, Wildstripe was pretending not to notice Copperspark seemed a bit winded from the journey. Well, he had recovered fairly well from the greencough; no wonder it had taken a toll. He was healthy now, if still a bit fatigued. The coming of newleaf and more plentiful food would surely help with that.
After making sure the Elder was settled comfortably to listen to the leaders speech, he asked if he needed anything else before stepping away for a bit.(Copperspark open for interaction!)***** Meadowlark had followed his Lightningclan kin to the Gathering, curious about what exactly unfolded at one of these things. It should be enlightening. For now, he spared glances towards his siblings in attendance, before looking back to his mentor, Cindergaze. Well, former mentor, since he was a proper Warrior now. That didn't mean he didn't still look to her in guidance in unfamiliar circumstances. Or when faced with troublesome fur care situations.
As it were, he was close by, observing but trying not to be a bother to her when he spotted a strange tom heading in her direction that he'd never seen before. Remembering well that this was a meeting of peace, he simply followed the stranger with his eyes, glancing towards Cindergaze to see how she responded to the assumed Riverclan cat's approach.Wildstripe headed towards the area between meeting clans, having spotted another old friend he wished to greet. Nearing Cindergaze, he called out a greeting, adding, "You're looking well, Cinder." He moved closer for a moment with a gently offered affectionate headbutt to her shoulder and a purr he couldn't help. He moved back, settling on his haunches with a grin. "It's good to see you."
He would have said more, but Brightstar called for attention and began to speak, so he kept further discussion to himself for now and turned his head to better listen.

Well, well, wasn't this interesting?
Though he noted a few others hanging to the outer area of the gathering, Legend held no such qualms. As he believed, these gatherings beneath the full moon were meant to be peaceful for all involved...and that extended to the clanless, did it not? Awfully rude if it didn't.
While he was not so rude as to interrupt those speaking or make a scene, he also made no attempt to be discrete or hang back as some cats seemed to be doing. He walked slowly and confidently, weaving amongst the clan cats as if he belonged in their number. Nothing against clans, not really. He just preferred to keep to his own rules rather than someone else's. Couldn't they all just be friends? Afterall, look at all the lovely she-cats here tonight!
Grinning winningly and nodding to a few cats he passed, he settled himself down comfortably in the crowd to see what this was all about. And maybe make a few new lovely friends this evening.(Legend open for interaction!)

Tortoiseshell had followed after her leader quietly and decided to sit down in the middle of the area not to close not to far as well as making sure she was close enough to Lightning clan in case anyone she had met from there wanted to say hi they didn't have to go searching through all of riverclan to find her. She was grateful to be asked to come along, usually she stayed back to defend the camps when a large number of cats left but this time she would be able to check up on the other cats she had gone on the Hunt For Catnip with. She frowned slightly when brightstar suggested expansion. The marsh next to river clan was damp and freezing it was horrid during no leaf, but the forests near lighting where full of good food. It was strange to be invited along to something as important to the clan as this, but Sandburr assumed that meant he was doing a good job settling into this whole 'wild clan cat' Warrior role. It was far different from his old life, that was for sure, but the drive to be the best had followed him from his old show days and kept pushing him to try harder. Even if this life was definitely much harder than his old one.
Heathersong had offered to stay in camp and help watch the sudden influx of black kittens who had joined the clan from parts unknown. Sweet she-cat, that one. Sandburr had offered to fill her in on what happened when he got back. She had seemed grateful; she had also seemed much more relieved at staying behind to keep the kits entertained.
Speaking of sweet she-cats...that was not one over there. A momentary scowl crossed his face at seeing Quicktrap and he quickly but casually changed direction and attempted to hide himself from sight behind the large Maine Coon nearby. While Shadedancer may have shot a questioning glance at the Manx attempting not-so-subtly to use her as cover to hide behind, she followed his gaze and understood. As fun as the bickering between those two tailless cats could be, she wasn't in the mood right now to stir things up just yet. Let the tom hide for now. Maybe later if this got boring.
For now, she was here to not only make sure she was in the know of new happenings, but also so she could check out this other clan. What kind of cats were they? Were they a threat? Could they be a threat? What did they fight like?
Well, not likely to find out much about that one in a peaceful meeting, she supposed. Though, as their leader began to speak, she wondered if it would stay peaceful for long. Heh, of course it was their right to take more territory. They were the bigger clan, more members, stronger...as far as she knew anyway. But, would these river types realize that truth or would they need convinced of it? A part of her hoped they would.Fea Line Sandburr saw Quicktrap, but is trying to avoid being seen lol

RiverClan "Sweetbriar, eh? Decent name, if a bit prickly." He looked around expectantly. "Is she here tonight? Or is there something at your camp keeping her there instead?" He inquired, concern moving across his features. His tone was hushed as he spoke, so not to draw any attention away from the leaders. He paused as he listened to Shadowstar ask her question after Brightstar's declaration.
"Strange indeed. I suspect the Nursery will be expanding in both Clans, to make room for all the little ones." He mused. Though from what it sounded like, LightningClan wanted to expand their territory much further than their nursing den. He turned expectant eyes back to the leaders. "ForestClan willing that the peace remains..." He whispered, mostly to himself.EvilSilverDragon Stonebelly is with Cardinalwhisper. Fea Line Stonebelly is with Bumblebreeze. xKOVAKtheWOLFx Stonebelly is speaking to Honeyfur. Foxcry hadn't expected anyone to approach her, except maybe for Barkfang. However, upon looking up at the sound of nearing paw steps, she found it wasn't her mentor, but another older warrior. Not nearly as old as her mentor was, but still older than she. Her tail flicked and her eyes narrowed. What did Owlheart want?
"I'm fine." She replied sharply to his inquiry. Barkfang had told her to keep her true feelings close. She wrapped her tail around her paws, as though to keep any emotions she was bottling from spilling out onto the snow around her. "This isn't the first time I've been surrounded by both Clans." She added and intended for that to be the end of it, but... in a quiet voice, so not to attract the attention of many others, she continued, despite herself. "Granted, that time didn't go over so well and this time... I don't know what's going to happen either. Nothing's ever felt right before, only it's started to, kind of. With Ebonykit and Fadgingsky and Barkfang back in the camp... But I don't know how long it will last and everyone looks at me different and Bumblebreeze still insists upon wearing her fur like it's a trophy!" Her claws slid across the surface of the ground and she felt her pelt grow hot. Her ears went flat with embarrassment. "I'm..." She had never apologized before for her behavior and she wasn't going to start now. She looked away from Owlheart. "I didn't mean to say all that." Was the best she could do.
"You... should go enjoy the Gathering." Her gaze slid towards her Clan mates. "Listen to this territory debate or... or talk to someone who's not so..." So what? Confused? Frustrated? A pain in the tail to converse with? She didn't know how to finish her sentence, so she didn't. She curled her tail more closely around her and became very still. If she was an apprentice, Barkfang surely would have scolded her for being so open with herself. It was something cats could use against you, to make you feel vulnerable. Vulnerable was exactly what Foxcry felt. Among all of these gathered cats, she felt just as weak and vulnerable as she had when she was a kit, so many moons ago.
And she hated. it.EvilSilverDragon Foxcry replied to Owlheart.

Bloodstorm just giggled when her sister shouted at her to stop being excited. She can't really help herself to be honest, with all the cats around. Still she tiled her head and slowed her swaying tail. "You are fine, Skybloom, really..." Purring at her sister, she looked about. Spotting her mentor was pretty easy and when she found her, she inclined her head in respect. Her mentor taught her well. She hopes.
"Wait, where?" At the mention of their father, she blinked and meows in confusion. She could not quite- Ah there he is! "Father! Over here!" Revel1984 Bloodstorm replying to Skybloom EvilSilverDragon Bloostorm also sees her father, Egretfeather ----- Icyjuniper 's eyes widen as she saw the gathering of the cats. It was a lot more than the kittens that flooded the Riverclan dens in a sea of black. "Dad! So many cats!" She bounced on her paws, meowing excitedly. She was happy to be apart of this gathering. She knew that this was both her and her father's first time so meeting people must be compulsory... though, she did not know that many cats. Open for interactions. Cracklestreak winced when his voice carried towards the gathering and sheepishly slapped his paw on his face. He did notice some of the mission goers, Tailchaser, Rabbitleap and some others he did not remember the names of. Bearjaw was around too, the bottomless pit that cat was. He smiled when Icyjuniper showed excitement. "Calm down a little, please Icy...I am sure there are some cats who you can speak to." He listened as Brightstar's chat bertween her and Shadowstar. It was an interesting thing, the two leaders. He does have respect for them both. Open for interactions as well, he forgotten who he went on the mission with ^^;

Not hearing the shadows reply back he smirked and stood up, taking the opportunity to walk toward the kit that had laid at his mate's side. He saw Owlheart join foxcry and he came to sit in time to hear her reply. He presented himself into the conversation though. "Its about time you did say something, Foxcry...." He flicked his tail and frowned, a very fatherly look, this kit was his, wither she still believed it or not, he fought for her and he laid by her side while she was in the medicine den, gently licking her head while fever took her. "Of course he still wears it... I gave it to him so that he would be kept warm...." He gave a small frown. "And he doesnt know any better than to wear it... Foxes have always been our enemies... " Foxfur the cat that could in one breath claim that foxes were just funny looking cats, was also down to earth enough to know... they would kill cats without blinking.... Timberfall sat watching over the clan cats and he saw a young tom. All alone. He stood his paws walking toward the grey cat. "Hi... Im Timberfall, are you a new warrior?" He gave a smile, he didnt want to seem intrusive or rude but he enjoyed meeting new cats. Bloomfrost purred as Jaggedtooth helped groom her unruley fur. Though his last statement had her nod. "What if a fight starts... shouldnt... shouldnt we just stick to the territory we have? I mean... we are still able to have food..." but her normally shiny fur was dull and clung to her frame. Perhaps they did need mroe space.Brightstar looked over her previous friend, a cat she still respected and could see the weight of leadership weighing her down, slowly crushing the cat that was so dedicated to being the best warrior she could be.... it seemed the shine was gone from her eyes. She nodded. "Yes, well enough." She tried to hear that unsaid conversation but the words alluded her. She nodded. "It has." Her eyes looked out to kits she had seen born and that were now strong warriors. Brightstar nodded though. "Yes a fair number of them, all smelled the same as each other so we assume they were a large litter... but by the way you say that, you have black kittens?" She thrashed her tail, perhaps there was reason behind it. "Do we think that they are a loners? should we be concerned?" Thats when she noticed a loner cat walking through the crowd. She didnt mind the loner being here, afterall, the clans were meeting in peace. "Loners! Do you know of the black kittens?!" She waited but then nodded to Shadowstar. "North, and to the east to the mountains... I feel lightningclan should take that area, since it wouldnt make sense for riverclan to take that.... you could have the lands east and up to the mountains."Teigra Brightstar is addressing legend Kyjoto Brightstar is addressing Molerat

Tailchaser gave a happy chuff/purr as Lostpath greeted him, "That's great!" he honked, happy Foxk..no Foxcry had survived and was a good warrior now, something in his chest warmed at being able to help. "It wasn't all me Lostpath, i only talked to the kittypet, YOU guys are the warriors that fought, i wasn't really any use until Pumpkin showed up" His tail twitched, yes he'd been the one to negotiate with the kittypet but if it hadn't been for EVERYONE, they'd never have made it there ... or back, making his efforts pointless without THEM. He grinned widely at Bearjaw, "i'm so glad" He followed the pair forwards, sitting with his friends, this was good, he was happy, for a fleeting moment he wished he had been part of the clans when they had all lived together, it would have been nice not to have to split and treat them like enemies most of the time. His ears twitched when Brightstar spoke about expanding and his thoughts immediately went to Spirit, and her now grown kit, what did that mean for them? .. Spirit was frail but managing, what would happen if she was forced out of the home she'd carved for herself? His ears lowered sadly at the thought. He'd help her, even at the cost of status in the clan. He looked at Bearjaw "Don't worry, i don't think she means she wants to take Riverclan lands, we found a LOT of territory out there, i bet that's what she means" he reassured his friend, having noticed the slightly odd look and the deep breath ~~~~~~~~~ Silverstreak nodded, "I think so" she whispered as the hush over the gathering began, she'd go see her later maybe, "We definitely need more territory, even just the camp grounds needs expanding, food is more scarce.. " she admitted quietly, her stomach churning at mention of kits. She loved them but something inside her felt cold and empty. ~~~~~~~~~ Barkfang carefully watched at the outskirts of the meeting, noting Foxcry seemed to have made a friend, she sighed, watching her Clan Leader with more and more suspicion, why exactly had Shadowstar invited her, she narroed her gaze, trying to judge the dark cat's reaction to Brightstar's news. Expanding wouldn't be a BAD thing for either clan but she'd be damned if she let Lightning take ANY Riverclan land without a fight, interclan issues or not. Or perhaps, she should just let the fools fight amongst themselves, tch....... attachments ... EvilSilverDragon Barkfang is carefully watching Shadowstar ~~~~~~~~~~ Skybloom curled her tail around her paws, she'd called her father over, it was just waiting to see if he'd come over. She leaned closer to Bloodstorm as the Clan Leaders started discussing. "I wonder what this means for all of us, maybe we'll move and give Riverclan some of our old grounds?" she said, it seemed the most fair from what she'd heard of what lay the other side of Riverclan not being great for hunting, it made sense if Lightning moved and gave some ground to River so everyone had more room?

Ravensnatch at so far, kept to himself, just watching the goings on curiously. His ears perked at Brightstar's words but he did his best to keep himself reserved. It was a truce on this night after all, fighting wouldn';t do any good. When the young tom that had stolen his best friends heart approached however, Ravensnatch smiled. It had been a while since he was able to have a bit of fun. "Ah, well with how fast we are growing...its only natural. And there are still some lands for Riverclan to claim. It would be the loners I'd be wary of." he said with a soft nod and a bit of gruff to his voice. Suddenly he paused and stared at Petalnose, his eyes seeming confused despite having a natural squint. "Who are you?" he tilted his head, blinking a moment. He allowed several seconds to go by before busting out in laughter and drawing the tom closer, using a paw to ruffle his head fur a bit. "I joke I joke. How do YOU feel about it, Petalnose?" he asked curiously, tilting his head the other direction with a twinkling smile. "Would mean more room for a hunting trip with a certain red gruff tom cat....mmm?" AlicornPlayhouse Forever a tease he's sorrynotsorry XD

Petalnose felt confident when Ravensnatch had smiled at him. Ravensnatch must recognize him, since he didn't Immedietly look confused about what was happening. He listened intently to what Ravensnatch said, nodding firmly as he did. That seemed like a smart decision. The loners may not like them encroaching on their territory.. oh no! What if they fought back? He didn't want any more fights! He'd had enough of THAT for now.
He was about to speak as well when suddenly Ravensnatch dropped the bomb of not knowing who he was. His ears pinned down slightly and he hesitated. His mouth hung open in silence. Did Ravensnatch not know his own clanmate..? More concerning, though, did Timberfall not even mention Petalnose once to one of timberfalls closest friends?! That was a bit... Worrying.
He let out a surprised mrrow as the tom pullee him closer and ruffled the fur on his head, revealing it was all but a joke. He let out a relieved purr. "You scared me for a moment." He laughed softly, smiling a bit at the older cat. "Well, I suppose more territory would be nice-." He was going to continue when suddenly Ravensnatch continued instead, mentioning Timberfall in a not very subtle manner. He felt his pelt grow warmer and he awkwardly shuffled his paws. "W-well.. I suppose I wouldn't mind that.." he stuttered.

Autumnriver had arrived with the rest of Lightningclan. He was proud that he got to go to this gathering. He looked around, taking note of the others that were there as well. He noticed Cracklstreak with a younger cat that looked a little like his sister color wise. Did his sister have kits? He didn’t know. He would have to ask at some point. His attention was to another cat. One he hadn’t seen since they were a kit. He approached the cat, a smile on his face. “Hello! It’s good to see you! Hello Owlheart. It’s good to see you as well. Foxfur, how are you doing?” belloblossom He's speaking with Foxcry EvilSilverDragon He is also speaking to Owlheart Embermist was also there, looking around at all the cats that had gathered. He looked at Firestripe that was close to him. This was his first meeting. He was overjoyed that he was picked. He looked around, looking for his brother that he hoped was there as well. He wanted so much to speak with him, to tell him everything that has happened. Firestripe sighed a little. There were other purebreds there, but he was born in the clan. So, he was a purebred clan cat… right? He sighed a little. He looked over at Ravensnatch. His former mentor was speaking with someone already. He didn’t dare go and interrupt him. Instead, he padded over to a pair of cats he didn’t know. One was a very pretty she-cat. “Hello, I’m Firestripe. You’re from Riverclan, right?” Falcona He's speaking with Icy and Cracklestreak Deathclaw sighed a little. He had dragged his cousin to the gathering. But only because he didn’t want to be there alone. Foxcry was there. She seemed like she was in a better mood. It had been a while since he had seen the she-cat. His last visit didn’t end well and he hadn’t seen her since. “Kits aren’t really allowed at these meetings… but it’s a nice way to get information. Like the over abundance of black kits that appeared in both clans… and look at the Riverclan leaders. They look like their nursing kits too. Not a complete waste of time.” As Deathclaw spoke, he couldn’t help but look toward Foxcry. He really should apologize to her at some point. ‘If she’ll listen to me…’ he thought. Daemongabrielle He's replying to Spiritwillow. Talonfang sighed. He stayed out of the way from everything. In truth, he didn’t want to be there, but he was picked. Did he really have a choice? It pained him to see Wildflower the way she was. He didn’t even know he could feel like that. He was happy for her, but that didn’t stop him from feeling the way he was. Maybe he should look elsewhere…

Molerat's eyes shot open in surprise, he shook so violently at Brightstar's voice that his back legs gave out and he found himself sitting. He needed his paws together, gathering his thoughts. "Mmm no, no, not me. I know not of where these puffballs come from, a lot of crowfood if you ask me. They just showed up. Got in the way. Ruined me hunts. Awful things." He had to remind himself to not mention wanting to eat them, as cannibalism was frowned upon in the clans. But they didn't know how hard life could be as an outsider with no one to rely on but yourself. You did what you had to do. "Nope, no clue where they came from."Molerat pulled himself back together, back on his feet and as far away from Brightstar as possible. Crowfood / Crowfood-eater = A harsh insult - to compare someone to rotting food / prey, or to say they eat rotting food. It is often used in threats such as 'I will turn you into Crowfood!'

Legend cocked his head to the side in curiosity when addressed directly by one of the cats he assumed was a leader of some sort. How did one address these clan cats again? And their titles? As he pondered the matter, another loner hurried to respond to the question. Perhaps a bit too quickly. Odd little fellow.
Ah well, hopefully general congeniality would do for this situation.
"Hmm, I thought I noticed a couple of them chasing one another while I was hunting. I paid them little mind, as that was certainly not what I was hunting for and my thoughts were elsewhere. I assumed they belonged to someone anyway as I don't normally see kits wandering by themselves. Quick things though. By the time I doubled back later, they were long gone. No idea where they came from, or where they went until just now. They're not mine at least," he finished with the cat equivalent of a shrug. Not as far as he knew anyway.
"Sorry I couldn't be of more help, my lovely lady," he finished with a polite nod of his head, looking up with an apologetic smile.

Of course she had ignored him. Why would she even look at him anyways?
Resigned to remain anonymous as usual, Minnowflash had been about to move else where when another large burly tom came up to him. He blinked in surprise, not familiar with this cat, nor his size or gruff looks. He smelled strongly of Lightningclan, not that that wasn't obvious before, Minnowflash was certain he wasn't a Riverclan cat. Still, the grey tom had to take a moment and glance around him to make sure this Timberfall was indeed, talking to him.
"Me?" he blinked before hanging his head a bit. "I'm Minnowflash....and yes I am." he said softly, placing on a soft smile and giving a very respectful dip of his head."They wont, it would be any loners I worry about, they don't exactly stick to clan code." he said, still gently grooming the top of her head some more. When they'd get back to camp he'd help ensure that she got back to her pristine sparkling self. "And...for expanding...well... it makes sense with the numbers we have but...that's sure to start more of a rivalry with Riverclan...they may not take it too well. "

Flintuft had come to have something to do. Being somewhat of a loner, he tended to stay to himself in corner of his territory. That being said, it could be lonesome and without entertainment. Hence his presence at the clan meet. What he wasn't expecting, however, was being accosted by a strange cat, whom he faintly recognized as the lil lass who had taken a shine to his teachings the last time he went out.
But he tolerated it, cause there was no sense in hurting her feelings until she began to lick his face. Raising a pae, he it directly on her nose and pushed her head back.
"Hello, to you too, young thing. How has your months gone?" He asked, not really sure how it sounded, since he didn't really converse to others.
Spiritwillow rolled her eyes as she looked where her cousin pointed. "Yes. I had noticed the new kits. But I already investigated them. None of them are sickly or dying, therefore I can't play with them." She whined, dropping down on her haunches and resting her nose on her fore paws. In a rather sad voice, she muttered "No sense in getting my heart set on a wee precious baby only to have turn into one of those icky adults. "
Turning back toward Deathclaw, she humphed. "Are you even paying attention to me? Or has that she cat addled your brain again?" She pouted.
