"You are going to torture me with saying that. It's enough I ever said it once." He whined, touched his head as his ears went back nervously.
He went back to playing with the joystick and making his robot shoot around randomly.
"I mean, I still target shitty people if I spit them, but yeah, as a knight. We'd go out and clean up the Red District a bit and other places."
He turned his head as he shot blue at the wall but nothing happened. Shouldn't his gun be killing things?
"If he ever needs anyone killed to get out, he could always ask. Woukd just be one more starseed for us."

”It makes me happy, but I don’t think I’ll torture you over it.” His thin fingers came up to ruffle his hair, stroking those ears at the base with a grin. “Huh... Your hair’s gotten longer too, hasn’t it? It’s nice. Matches your uniform too.”
It gave it a whole regal sort of look. As regal a half youma could be. The collar kinda distracted from it.
“No, you don’t kill people with the gun, you put portals down, and walk through. Try putting different colors on paler walls.” He lead by example and easily walked through the wall nearby, using the robot to emote a wave to it’s counterpart.
“Gryphon’s not really the type to want violence anywhere, believe it or not. Think about his clientele. It’s people like Nubi. Rich young men and women who want to party. Not that I’m justifying what he does... Oh, maybe you two would get along one day. He likes nature a lot more than I do, and you like hunting so maybe that would be a thing.”

He made no motion to remove his head from Mali's hands. It had been a while, and it felt nice for someone to run their fingers though his hair and not grip it hard after.
"Yeah. I haven't decided what to do with it. Thought I might let it grow out. Try that out. I just hope I don't get mistaken for a girl though." He was already teased for looking younger than he was. He didn't need to be called a woman on too of that.
He moved his controlled and started hitting the walls and felt like his eyes were crossing at seeing a different view of the room through the hole. "This is kinda trippy. Show me how to wave." He asked.
"I don't know. He called me a dingo." He grumbled. "We kinda pissed each other off that night."

”I’d say keep it long, perhaps put it in a ponytail. As long as you keep the ponytail low, it looks more masculine than feminine. But there’s nothing wrong with being mistaken for a girl. I’ll have to show you some of the ‘twins’ shoots I’ve done with ‘Nubi. And you’ve seen me in the dress before. Some people can really pull it off well.” There was nothing at all with being attractive, and especially nothing wrong with being able to wear the full range of clothing provided to people. Heck, Wolfy could certainly pull off looks that ‘Mali could not.
Mali did not do ‘cute’. He did sexy, and elegant, and nothing less.
A few button presses more, and they were both emoting and flitting about the map without a care in the world, until a turret blew the shorter robot off with a “Target eliminated” in that high pitched voice of it’s.
“Heh, yes, yes you both were... But I can’t be mad at either of you for it. You were both worried for me, him because he walked in on me bleeding out on a couch, and you because he could have been an unannounced threat. How would you suggest meeting up and apologizing to him?”

"What? There are other robots? It sounded nice." He grumbled as they had to start the stage over.
He glanced back at Mali. "I'm not a model like you. I'd rather people think I was more mature then some teenager. Makes it hard to be taken seriously. People already call me things like puppy or treat me like a dog some days. Add looking like a girl and then no one will take what I say seriously. I guess it could be good to make money but who'd want that? I get you being on a magazine. You looked great. Your hair is styled. You're tall and got nice legs like models have. Got sharp features and wear makeup well. You even move like a model when you out that dress on that night. You're trained for it. I'm trained for other movements."
He tried to look around the room to see how the heck he was supposed to get past the turret but couldn't figure it out.
Meet up? Appologize?!
His ears when back as he hunched a bit. "Do.....I have to?"

”They are like you. Cute and sounds nice but deadly.” He didn’t mind starting over. It only meant spending longer playing the game with his friend.
He could only nod at the comments about their looks, how they were compared to one another. It was only natural to want to look your actual age... What had Wolframite said his age was... Around twenty-five...? Perhaps twenty-six now? And he hardly looked it.
“There’s no need to be like me or worry about it. Your skills should be able to speak for itself, right? Obviously, given that you’re Captain already.” Another portal, another death, one that made him laugh and try once again.
“You don’t really have to if you don’t want to. The likelihood of you two running into one another is pretty slim, given that I still keep my powered life secret from him after all. And it probably would be uncomfortable, wouldn’t it? We don’t have to rush that. Remember that, Wolframite, there’s no rush for anything.”

"Maybe later if we ever hang out. Just to clear the air and show him I'm not here to hurt you." Otherwise l, he was okay with not meeting Gryoh. He wasn't sure how his feelings would react in seeing him and Mali together. He didn't trust himself to not make an a** of himself again. Maybe he could get Marissa to make sure he simmered down if they did that.
This level was rough. The turret kept shooting at them and he was trying to cling a cube around it.
"Aside from work, anything else new? Like, I know you take pictures. Still doing that or other hobbies?"
He thought of his work. "You haven't had problems with scars from those plants? With work and all."

"I'm sure that would help him with his worries as well. I'm not going to force it, but if it ever comes up, it would be nice to imagine you both in the same room and not cause fights between us. The idea of having to be pulled between you two because you're arguing doesn't seem like a very pleasant idea." This game was amusing as heck, and it was a pretty good trial run to see how the joysticks worked.
So far so good. He'd have to make sure to treat Chip to a proper meal as thanks for his efforts.
"Still baking, still school... Still photoshoots. Though it seems the whole cross-dressing thing with Lori is more popular than ever... The next time you come over, I'll have to give you a personal fashion show to show off all the dresses I've gotten since you last came over." There was no shame at all for each outfit he owned, after all, he rocked each one.
Finally, it looked like they made it to the end, and he grinned, giving the robots another highfive emote before going onto the next stage.
"Even the scars feel better now. Like I said, enough money spent on crushed pearl and cocobutter creams and there will be hardly a scar left. I am curious though, you mentioned having another person you hang out with these days. Care to talk about that Lavenenenthan person you talked about before?"

"Well, if you want to set up a meeting, you know I'll go. Whenever you want and you're not dying from work and school."
There was a thudding of his tail as they beat the level and progressed. It was nice that it was organized into little levels.
The next had water and so he jumped in to see if robots could swim. They did not and it burned his robot instantly. "Welp. It's not a shorting robot at least."
"I wouldn't mind seeing you dress up again. You look good in them, but I would like some pictures for my room of you and of Nubi. To keep around. I noticed I don't really have any." He said, looking over at him.
"Uh, she actually lives across the hall. We were youmafied in the same month, but she was in her room most of the time and I was training and in bout camp so we really hadn't crossed paths before. We bumped into each other in the barracks, got to talking, and just kinda started hanging out. Not a lot of people to talk to down here on the regular. She is kinda like you where she was forced to corrupt. She isn't used to all of this so I'm helping her train and see what's around since she doesn't know. You should meet her sometime."
He said as he pushed a button for the cube and watched it plop right into the water.
"If I got you something to wear, would that be weird?"

"The holidays will be here before you know it. That would be nice, wouldn't it? Getting our friends together and hosting a small gathering. Food and maybe a few gifts between us. I wouldn't mind, as long as we kept it small. I still am not that good with large groups." The tail swishing behind him caught Mali's attention, and he too felt pleased with the reaction.
And of course, he could he not laugh while watching his friend launch his robot right off the edge, in the name of science?
"Huh... That close... I suppose I'm glad you're not alone. Ah, speaking of Nubi, I'm pretty sure that she has a few selfies she took during that one 'spa day' we had with one another. We can be sure to print those out and bring them here, and maybe take a few more the next time we can get together like this. Had I been smart enough to bring my phone with me, we could take one now. I never did get that camera ordered for you, for your memories. When I see Chip next, I'll work with him on that too." A commemoration photo of them and the new fun times they could share. And of course a picture of Chip because he was a cute kitten.
A slight flush came across his cheeks at the thought of Wolframite picking out something for him to wear.... Nothing could be as weird as that cupcake-themed hoodie that Gryphon bought him at that little Festival they went to. Surely Wolf had better tastes than that.

"Uh.... It will have to be before the holiday week. I'm renting a hunting cabin to go get some furs and let myself be out of here when it gets dead and quiet in the barracks. Wanted to just be someplace where my aura wouldn't attract anyone." He set the joystick down as he turned to grab the tablet off his bed. "I'm taking Laven with me since she'll be alone too."
He bought the tablet over and tapped on the screen a few times to bring up the camera. "I can print pictures at the computer lab."
He scooted over to get into drama with Mali and rose up the tablet. It recognized their faces and with a claw-tap, it took a picture.
"See."
"You should be worried saying you have no shame. I could wind up getting you a giraffe costume and leather pants." He joked, saving the picture.

"... You're spending the holidays with her? While I understand why'd you want to go, I do hope you're drawing the line with this girl. The whole situation just screams romantic, and could give the wrong impression." He too put down the controller, and with the sudden picture, it was clear that his expression had turned more sour than not.
"And besides, I wanted to invite you to spend time with me and my sister. I do have plans for New Years, but we do have Villas we could have gone to together. Even if you do go out to the middle of no where with that girl, I hope you can find the time to teleport back to us for Christmas dinner. They'll be a few presents under the tree for you, and it would be nice if you could come open them with us." After all that talk about being close and 'Mali being put first, hearing that the halfling already had plans with some new person didn't really feel all that great.
Then again, he was a hypocrite in that rite, given the fact that he had plans with Gryphon already too.
"If that's what you want me to wear, then so be it, I suppose. I know, for a fact, that I would be the sexiest Giraffe ever."

"I'm not going to this cabin to ********. I want to kill a deer. And we both hang out and don't have families. Everyone leaves the Negaverse during the holidays so it's dead here. So I made plans to go out? And I thought you didn't want to have these kinds of conversations?" He said, looking up at him from the tablet.
"You don't wanna talk about relationships, right?" He turned the tablet around.
"You really need to smile. Want to try again?" He tapped the camera and settled back into place as he adjusted the tablet.
"I don't want to leave Marissa alone for long, but I can probably swing by. My glamour doesn't work too long, remember." He admitted, moving to take another picture. He snapped another picture.
"What are you doing for New Year's?" He asked. He knew Mali didn't like people so he wouldn't like crowds or big parties. He did has suspicious of what though.

"I don't... This is more concern for her feelings than anything else. It's not about ********, it's about leading someone on, even by accident. You said it before, you don't feel the same as other people feel. She may be half youma just like you are, but whose to say she doesn't have those feelings that you claim you lack." Feigning concern about this random girl was far easier than speaking his own truth about his jealousy. Quite honestly, he couldn't care less on whether or not the girl hurt. In fact, he'd be quite amused at seeing some heartbreak, like on those dramas he was so fond of.
What he didn't like was the potential of Wolframite suddenly changing his mind about love.
Spending a week in the woods alone with any person sounded romantic. Unless of course one of the people were psychotic, but that was neither here nor there.
"Two or three hours would be plenty, and you could take her some leftovers. who knows, perhaps after meeting her, I'll like her and she can come too. With Obie around, and perhaps Chip too, your signatures should be smothered plenty." This 'Lavendale' coming was completely unlikely. As if he wanted someone else in his house besides the ones he loved. And the kittens of course, but he loved them too.
'Mali wasn't really feeling up to smiling but forced it anyway. As professional as ever.
"I was asked to attend a New Year's gala as a photographer. Charity work. I don't typically have plans on New Year's eve, so I take jobs like this." More half truths, since he wasn't exactly wrong about taking gigs. If he did take a gig, hopefully he'd be able to teleport by then and rejoin Gryphon for the holidays.

"Well I'll set her straight when it comes up. I'm not going to make things weird by just assuming something and saying she can't fall for me. It would make me sound like an a*****e who just thinks everyone wants me. It's just a good time to let our youma tendencies to be out more and not murder anyone in the process. It's not like I have rose petals and a bearskin rug planned." He would steal a bear skin rug in a heartbeat.
"Anyways, she hasn't done anything like that."
She just kissed his brow once goodnight. It was almost sisterly if anything. Though, she did get bothered at the park, but they had wrestled together and nothing happened then. It was more of a thing to joke about.
Just because she accepted her youma side more didn't mean she didn't want to have a normal person to be with and he wasn't even sure what her sexuality was or if she even wanted that. It's not like he just randomly talked about that stuff, and he wasn't sure she noticed him leaving his form room or the random officer coming to his place.
It just wasn't something he brought up.
Well, aside from Mali, but it was more because Mali wasn't telling him about his new, special friend who considered his feelings and wiggled his way into Mali's life. A drug dealer who targeted a rich model. It sounded like such a scheme.
"You should be careful too. That friend of yours. Drug dealer finding a rich model to be with. Maybe watch out that he isn't up to something especially if he is being pushy."
The guy didn't even seem like he anted to quit his crappy lifestyle.
"Ugh. Sounds boring. Nice you are doing it for charity though. I hope you can get done and enjoy the rest of the night and not have some drunk trying to find you at midnight to kiss."
He stared at the photo and frowned. It was a odd smile and he decided tonight just wasn't the night for pictures. He closed the tablet back into a rod and set it on his bed.
"So if you get along with Marissa, she could maybe come over too?"
