Though not really looking at her as he did. "Every battle is a test of ones will to live. Sparring with restraints only serves to weaken you when it comes time to live or fall in battle." He would say coldly, his moth teachings and life reflected in those words. While he wasn't entirely truthful in that, he had sparred but not to the death, it was never for fun. It was to improve, and always done to ones limits. If you failed, you were reminded and ingrained how your life was forfeit and sacrifice in vain if you did not take your enemy with you. Miserorum would then note a strange grin on the Z's face as he would ask if it was an excuse not to flex. 'Why would I need to bend my arms? Do I not already?' He wondered silently to himself, not at all catching on to the intended meaning of the word, and a little confused as to what the man seemed to be building towards. As he continued to speak, he would say there would be indignity in not taking the challenge...especially when a butterfly had so happily done so. Miserorum's expression darkened slightly in anger towards the human. He knew what he was doing to try and get him to participate...it angered him, yet he knew it was also working. 'If I agree I fall for his clear attempts to get me to participate. If I do not, it is a disgrace given the butterfly so eagerly signed up for fake battle.' He thought to himself, disliking the human for putting him in such circumstances. Especially in comparing him to the butterfly in that way. He didn't know who he wanted to teach their place more; Z or the butterfly. But he also did not want to fall for the human's obvious bait to get him to participate, as it would be an admission that he had a way to pressure him now and in the future. Begrudgingly, the moth had to internally admit the human had played the situation well. All because the damned butterfly had revealed their feud.
It was then that Z would announce they would be leaving, telling Miserorum the offer still stood as the moth refused to respond. He would be followed by the butterfly and O, the latter said if one wasn't going to fight they should watch him fight. The moth was still internally fuming, mix of pride and stubbornness inside him, as he debated what to do next. Staying there for many minutes after they left. Even though he really did not have a choice. Sighing angrily, he would punch the wood frame of the bed...wincing slightly but letting the pain feed his anger a bit. "I will not allow a butterfly to be proven better than moth...nor shall I allow him a victory." He would almost whisper to himself, the others having left a few minutes ago. Hand tightening into a fist, he would take a deep breath before releasing it as he forced himself to calm. 'Anger leads to mistakes. Mistakes lead to death.' He repeated in his mind before he full calmed to a near apathetic state. It was settled. He would gather his weapons, and leave the room. If Z wanted to have him fight, he would get it. And while he could not kill, it did not mean he could not get close to it before stopping. He would show them all just how strong a moth was, and to not provoke one without being prepared to face the consequences. ☪ Post count: 9 ✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘.✘ ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄
