This suited Nataniel just fine, though there was little to situate himself with besides gathering what few of his own belongings he'd brought to better acclimate himself in the new environment: his headphones, his jacket, his keys, his phone, and Dusk, of course. He slid her pack out from beneath the desk, and he had to admit that she seemed pleased to see him, instead of the dark whirring machines kept underneath the desk. He tucked his headphones into his satchel bag, slipped his leather jacket on, and hefted Dusk's carry case onto his back. As Nataniel moved toward the entrance, he made note of December tossing their trash, and figured it surely wouldn't take him more than a handful of minutes to finish up.
It wasn't like December had brought much to gather up, anyway.
So Nataniel headed to his bike outside, across the street from the cafe. He still had to secure Dusk's pack to ensure she had a safe ride, and stow the rest of his belongings for the short journey, but they were quick, familiar tasks that left him still with time to wait for December to reappear.
He wondered vaguely if the other boy lived close... It wasn't as if he could live too far away, since he'd been familiar with this place, right? And Nataniel had to figure that December would probably have to walk home...

Nataniel was right, it only took December a few minutes to settle their tab, clean up the space, and shut down and reboot the computers. And during that time he tried to figure out the best way to say goodbye. Handshakes seemed so.. Strange. And Nataniel seemed to like his hug well enough, so... Maybe that would work.
Eventually he came out of the shop, quickly scurrying across the street to reach the man and his motorcycle. How cool was that? Having a motorcycle already?
He almost wanted to ask for a ride, but even Dessy knew it was too early for those kinda thoughts.
Instead, he smiled as he approached, hands behind his back as he considered the next best course of action.
"Welp, I guess this is where we say goodbye. I had alot of fun with you today, Nataniel, and I can't wait to hang out again!"

With his things secured for the ride, there was little left for Nataniel to do besides lean his hips back against his bike, one arm draped across the motorcycle's handlebars, and wait. He watched, head canted just faintly to the side. Though it only took December a moment to emerge from the cafe, once he did, Nataniel's gaze trailed after him with obvious focus. He was still beyond the gentle tousle of his hair in the faint breeze, and the way his eyes moved to follow the scurrying boy as he skittered across the street.
December was... kind of small, wasn't he? A bit fidgety. Chattery. Kind of like a bird, Nat thought. Or a rodent. He seemed odd, somehow, though Nataniel was far from an expert in people and their mannerisms. Maybe it was normal, and he just... didn't know.
As the younger man neared, Nat let his gaze drop as righted himself more fully and tucked a wayward strand of green hair back behind his ear.
"It seems that way," he agreed, tone quiet and flat beyond just the faintest tinge of his mother's accent. "It was fun." There was still no one here to retrieve this boy, as Nataniel had wondered if there might be. But in the absence of anyone else, he supposed it was polite to offer. December had paid for their snacks, after all. "If you need a ride home, it would not be an inconvenience to me to take you." Recompense.

Back in the sunlight, out from under the bright unnatural lighting of the cafe, December realized something a bit more than he had before.
Nataniel as handsome. Sunlight suited him far more than the cramped inside.. Everything about him seemed untouchable, like December couldn't dare to be close.
And yet he already had been.
He held his hand, hugged him, shared a small meal and learned more about him, and all the while Nataniel hadn't pushed him away. That had to mean something, right...?
Even now, Nataniel offered to take him home, an offer he'd rightly would have accepted if he actually had one. But they weren't so close after a single meeting that December would tell all about himself.
"It's okay, I'm not too far from here, and it's a nice day out, the fresh air is perfect for a little walk!" Though slight, December had enough commonsense to know when too much was too much. Instead, he only smiled and walked in a little closer to Nataniel, before wrapping his arms around him in a hug.
"Thank you again for coming out to see me. I know I keep saying it, but I mean it! I want to be good friends. Just call me whenever you want me to hang out! Or text me, either way works for me!"

"Oh. I understand." Somewhat. If he was close, it was even less of a burden to bring December wherever he wanted to go, but Nat supposed it wasn't exactly his business to argue, and he had made a point of wanting to get Dusk home soon. So he should do just that. He topped her pack with a blanket to keep wind from rustling her dense fur as they rode, and slipped his own leather jacket back on.
And then December was near again, wrapping arms around him in an embrace that Nataniel had never been great at saying no to from anyone because it just didn't happen that often...
Subsequently, Nataniel didn't know what was appropriate for two people meeting for the first time, even though they had talked plenty over the game. December seemed fine with this- he had initiated it, after all, and Nataniel was rarely opposed to such contact. He slid an arm around the smaller man's shoulders, let his fingers brush the tips of fluffy white hair near his neck, and held him tentatively near, such that his arm easily fell away as December moved back.
"I will," Nataniel murmured softly with a tiny acquiescent nod.
But it was somewhat of a strain to be out. Many more random variables than there were while sitting it home. And the thought of returning to his desk and his computer did please him. Nat turned back to his bike, slipped on his helmet, and swung his leg over. He still had concerns that December would text him a bit too frequently with free access to do so, but he decided not to comment on it, and instead added a parting. "It was nice to meet you. See you next time," before starting the ignition and pulling away.

It was nice...
No, it was more than nice. It was down right fantastic to have a hug like that. Fingers that brushed his hair and the feeling of another warm body against his.. It was such a shame it ended so soon...
But he had asked for it, and before he knew it, Nataniel was gone, leaving him alone once again.
For a long while, December stood there, looking after the bike that disappeared in the distance, and wondered just how likely he would be to actually see the man again. The urge to immediately text him was there, his finger itched to do so, but that was creepy, or so said tv shows.
He'd have to wait... And hope that when he did reach out, he wouldn't be immediately ignored. For now, he headed to the park, to sit there and watch and wait and hope that soon he'd be allowed back into the barracks.
