Demanthra/Candidate/Apprentice Harper Oh, I have no doubt what work you have to do is very important. I also know you will rise to the challenge and do wonderfully. I am just saying, being by yourself could get lonely. I think someone being there for you is important and I hope you find your rider. I will be watching,. She smiled softly, patting the egg, before stepping away from it. She looked around again, before she decided on the Maroon Red Egg and places her hand on the shell. She felt the light rough texture, kind of like the sand against her toes. She could feel the sigh coming from it, she hoped she wasn't disturbing it. Forgive me for intruding, I imagine this is a lot of attention for all of you. I just thought I should come over and say hello to you. I will try not to take too much of your time, she thought to it softly. She knew how sometimes overwhelming it could be to have too many people around. She loved it, but there were people like some of her family who did better with some space.

Chellemana / Candidate / Apprentice Winemaker Oh, ho ho. Chelle was quite amused by Shadow Egg's demeanor. No wonder their sister had been frustrated. "Hm. I wanted to help people by riding a dragon. Or maybe I just wanted to ride a dragon. My old life did not really help anybody but I liked it just fine. Is the best what I need? I don't know. But I think I like you and I think you deserve the best." Shadow egg was fascinating, but Chelle's time was short. "I have to go." Chelle crossed over to the Yellow Green Egg. When they touched its smooth surface, they felt a strong and motivated presence. "Wow, you're ready to go, aren't you? What are you ready for?" Nashanna / Candidate / Apprentice Glassmaker "Little creatures? Hm." She remembered sometimes seeing little creatures underfoot back home. They were not considered welcome guests in the slightest. All the adults just wanted to exterminate them. But she got the feeling this egg did not mind them. Or was there a different sort of creature it referred to? "Well, I don't mind them, I guess." Nassah's confusion followed her to the next egg. Why would an egg be fine, "working alone?" Didn't hatchlings die when they couldn't Impress? She saw Chelle standing with the large yellowy-green egg and followed her, then past to the Teal Stripe Egg. Differently from the Gradient Blue egg, this one had ridges where the dark markings were. They cast shadows upon their own surface, giving the illusion of even more stripes. When she touched it, she found an amiable personality. "Do you... want to work alone too? Why do your siblings not care if they Impress or not? Isn't it important?"

Nekoka - Maroon Red Egg The slightest hint of a smile appeared on Nekoka's face. Well, it was very nice to meet you too. He liked this egg, they seemed nice. Maybe the touching wouldn't be so bad after all. Gently, the candidate patted the egg. Nekoka hoped that you enjoyed meeting the rest of the candidates. Stepping away from Magenta Speckle, Nekoka felt a new surge of hopefulness about the situation. Maybe it wasn't that bad. Maybe. The candidate moved to one of the larger eggs, one he didn't have to bend down to touch. The deep red of the shell was rather lovely to look at, but now that he looked closer the egg was a bit further from the others. Taking a steadying breath, Nekoka lay his hand on Maroon Red. Ah, that was a different feeling. The young man immediately felt awkward to be intruding on the egg's time. Ah, he could leave if they'd rather? Sorry for bothering you. --------------------- Telleara - Shadow Egg A slight raise of her eyebrow was the only change to Telleara's expression, but there was humour in it at least. Was that so? Was that what Shadow saw in her? Do enlighten her. Why would Telleara want a dragon? All they seemed to bring was problems. Why tie herself down that way? A dragon couldn't help her further her goals, they'd just get in the way. Besides, arrogance is a terribly unflattering feature, Darling. It was a hypocritical statement, of course, but then Shadow was being so overt about it. Perhaps it was the best egg here. Perhaps it was even the best dragon ever, but they would never convince people of that if they went around boasting about it. There was a game to play if they wanted to get ahead, Shadow would need to learn it to get what they wanted.

Maroon Red @ Demanthra Welcome welcome Demanthra. Maroon Red can handle it, mother said so. It's a good egg and will do as it's mother says. What about you? Do you do as your mother says? Yellow Green @ Chellemana Anything and everything! They want to do the best in the world, but maybe people can come up to them first. Yellow Green isn't so sure about new people. Do you like meeting new people? Teal Stripe @ Nashanna Oh horrors forbid! Teal Stripe doesn't want to work alone thank you. Unless everyone really wanted it to, then it supposes it could. Of course Impressing is important silly candidate. That's why you all are here isn't it? Not every rider and dragon has to attached at the hip do they? Maroon Red @ Nekoka Well make up your mind! Maroon Red seemed a bit grumpy. Either greet it or don't. How do you expect it to obey it's mother if you can't make up your mind?

Demanthra/Candidate/Apprentice Harper Thank you for the welcome, it is appreciated. If your mother says you will be able to, then I think you will too. Just remember, it is okay to not be too. Your mom loves you for you, not what you think she expects you to be. And yes, I tend to listen to my mom and does what she asks of me. She knows I have my own interests too though. I am sure your rider will help you find out what your's are, I will see you at the hatching,. She responded. She patted the egg, before taking her hand off. Demanthra had not thought she would get such a response from the egg, but it was nice. Her eyes looked around again, trying to decide where to go next. She picked the shadow egg to go to next, placing her hand on its shell. She was surprised to the cool touch she got from it, considering how warm the sands were. Hello, in there, I hope you are doing well. Do you really like being my yourself..I would imagine you need people to admire you, don't you?she asked. She was surprised it was another egg that felt they didn't need others, but thought how lonely that might be. This one seemed to like to be admired though, unlike gradient blue, who seemed full of duty.

Shadow @ Demanthra Of course Shadow is happy by itself. Not everyone is a sobbing hugger. They should admire Shadow and its plans for them. Demanthra can sense the egg chuckling to itself.

Demanthra/Candidate/Apprentice Harper You are amazing, you should be surrounding yourself with people who will benefit from your plans. I am sure you are fine by yourself, but one should always have some company. You can be even more amazing, especially with your rider. Not everyone has to be a hugger, this world takes all types. I do look forward to admiring you when you come out of your shell. Take care and see you then, she thought to the shadow egg. She gave it a gentle rub, then knew she knew she needed to move on to one of the other eggs. She bit her lip thoughtfully, trying to decide between two eggs, before finally walking over to dark purple egg. She didn't seem to be getting anything from the presence inside, she hoped it was okay. It is nice to meet whoever is inside, I do hope you are doing well in there. A couple of your siblings seem to like being alone..would you prefer to be as well?she questioned.

Dark Purple @ Demanthra Dark purple is there for whoever needs them; a shoulder to cry on or just simple quiet company. No rider or dragon will truly ever be alone Demanthra. Well maybe sometimes riders get left alone if they do something stupid and their dragon dies, but never mind that ok?

Aessa sighed, aware that others wanted her spot at the egg, and shifted out of their way with the ease of one practiced in getting out of the way. Her gaze drifted over the lay of eggs, as she moved between the great eggs in the back, it seemed some of the ones around the middle were available, and that is where Aessa headed. She came first to Sunset's gorgeous shell and smiled, setting her palm against it. It took a portion of a moment for the overwhelming flood of images to just about put a whirl in her eyes, and she peeled her hand off the shell again to breathe and get herself under control, shaking her head to clear out the flood. The girl gave a soft bow to the egg and smiled her apologies, thanking it for its time, then shuffled through the sand, feeling the heated grains sliding into and out of her sandals. It was relaxing, to have so warm a surface below, and so warm an individual near as the green, and helped counter the feeling of being in the middle of a ballroom and expected to interact with others. With a sigh, she centered her mind again, retruning to the more comforting images of her mind. The organized bookshelves, clean playrooms... ~Alright... I'm ready.~ She thought to herself, then finally settled her hand against the egg's shell. It felt... somehow, both comforting and entirely disconcerting not to be noticed by the egg at first, and then to be acknowledged that way. ~I... Think I'm looking at a beautiful egg that knows it.~ She thought gently, delivering pictures of the leather-orange egg, and a report of that comfortable, near-burning texture.

Leather Orange @ Aessa Are they beautiful? Are they really Aessa? It is just a shell after all. One that is soon to be shed. What will candidates think of them then? Nevermind, it doesn't matter to Leather Orange what they think.
