Ah. Well. That...was disheartening.

It honestly made her heart ache a little bit, before suddenly turning into anger. The wolf frowned, her food completely forgotten now. "You've slept with me twice now. You owe me another date. Whether it's me showing up at Alu Spring sometime in the next few weeks, or far off a year from now for Venus day. Which would you prefer?" Her head was pounding, she was tired of tip-toeing around the issues and she needed to get this stupid problem in front of her some kind of resolution. She didn't have answers now, but she needed to be able to see him again for when she did have some answers. And she had just decided she was going to see him again even if it meant her bribing a naiad to dive down in Alu Springs and drag him out.

"I'm pretty sure you can't get down to Alu Springs..."

Why was she mad again? He didn't get it! He thought they'd already patched things up just a while ago and they were going to go their separate ways from here on. Wasn't that what they'd decided? Or they at least were going to move on from there because they weren't sure of themselves. And why was she bringing that up again?! Yeah, he'd slept with her, but that also meant she'd slept with him. Why did she make it seem like it was all his fault and like he owed her something because of it?

She was positively flabbergasted. Aurelia would think she was expecting too much of him if he hadn't acted so differently last night. Playing with her emotions. One moment he acted like he wanted her and the next he wanted to avoid her like the plague. Well she had it! "You think I don't have connections? Try me." She was going to get to the bottom of this. She was going to spend this year sorting out her feelings, and then the next time they saw each other they would...do something regarding that. Maybe she was delaying the hard work of self reflection, but at the moment her head wasn't in the right space to come up with anything logical. "So next year at Venus Day. Date. Deal?"

Yeah, Wellspring didn't want to try her. The last thing he needed was for her to come trying to barge into the Spring and making a big commotion over him. It'd be the end of his to-date mostly peaceful life.

His eyes glanced up - no good, he just couldn't maintain eye contact with her while she was all intense like this. It was going to send him into a panic.

Instead, the sprite once again picked up his fork and used it to procure a peach from beside the pile of cottage cheese. He knew he should have probably made eye contact at least, but given the situation... No. This was the best he could do to prevent himself from reeling under the intensity of her gaze. "O-Okay... Next year. Deal." He paused, no longer fidgeting with the food on his plate as he rephrased what'd he'd just said in her words from earlier. "I promise I'll see you next year at Venus Day..."

At that, eye contact still averted, he placed the sweetened piece of fruit into his mouth.

Aurelia didnt let up her gaze as she waited for his response. She wasnt going to budge in her resolve. So when he said he would see her...

Nope. Close but not it. "As a date. You cant just show up and avoid me all night. A date. Promise." And then she can go back to eating finally. Because she was ravenous.

Looks like his first promise wasn't good enough. Part of him wanted to roll his eyes and sigh in an exaggerated fashion, but the other part was tired of this nonsense and just wanted to eat his breakfast in peace.

Not that he had much of an appetite anymore.

"Fine... It'll be... It's a da--... a date..."

And that about wraps it up I'd say
