The bone whip hit right above Hyperborea's shin guard . The Knight let out a surprised gasp as a stinging pain shot through her knee as bone made contact with bone. Then she was pulled off her feet, she managed to get her hands up to stop her face from smacking the floor.

As she got back to her feet her head whipped around to the direction of her attacker, Scholomance. Why had he attacked her, what possible reason could have in this situation? If he didn't want to attack then fine but why help the enemy?

Amethyst eyes stared at the Saturn knight. A wave of emotion flit through Hyperborea's gut shock, betrayal, outrage. How could he raise his weapon against a fellow knight? Would she have to fight him too? In that moment she had forgotten the general she had been fighting.

The knight’s confidence was a pleasure, a boost in interest beyond rote concerns of tactics and worries about just how many enemies there were to deal with. When she grabbed his weapon and started trying to push it down, he knew instinctively what the best option would have been- all the more for as soon as one of her feet left the ground. No- his action could not be taken, her kick never landed. She was shifted another way from him entirely, torn back.

‘Titan, over here!’ Ida’s voice.

‘Shake one, ********!’ Another’s, he didn’t know them.

The world felt like it had been turned into the top of a snare drum. Overwhelming size could replace some required accuracy and the General shifted open his stance and swung his hammer towards the most aggressive threat so far- the Cosmos knight. It hit, in a fashion, and her light in the shadows was flung. His aim was off, she was through one of the window holes instead of into the concrete, and out and out and beyond the fence. She will take time to dust off.

"Ja, Ida, it is a little busy still?"

He swallowed hard while the world still wobbled and looked at the nearest others to see which it was that was responsible. The Dancing One. The Whip One? There was a fire-hair near Ida. A knight of with a tiny shield holding back in the shadows. This one he smiled over at, lifting his chin a little, "Be brave."

Permission was received for the automatic success/hit on Hyperborea. A heads up to all players that Aurelius0815 has requested to bow out of the rp. If your character would normally go try to help this ally, feel free to reach out to them for a possible follow up or separate rp, but please be respectful of this player's wishes to no longer participate in this battle!

Okolnir just watched a transcendent knight get flung out the building.

This was why he usually tried to stay out of things. The sheer difference in abilities was outrageous---not to mention the odds were literally stacked against their favor by the General's sheer size. Their only advantage seemed to be in numbers, and even then he wasn't sure that was reliable.

The Squire stayed where he was, even as he ended up catching the General's attention. Okolnir gave the General a casual salute, two fingers towards him from his temple. "I'd rather be wary, if it's all the same to you." He replied. "Especially after seeing what you did to someone a rank above me with an additional boost." Wary he was, too. Just in case. His magic was ready to go if the General went on the offensive in his direction. He didn't try to engage him, though. Absolutely not. His magic was more for support anyways, and better spent on someone who actually had a chance.

Navi

In the end there wouldn't be much help to give. Navi was at Scholomance's side as the Saturn knight's whip jerked the rainbow haired woman off her feet and away from the towering general. She waited tensed and anxious to see what the other knight might do in retaliation, if she did anything at all, but there was only time enough for a look of betrayal to be cast at Scholomance before a startling strike of that enormous hammer knocked her right out the opening of a window.

It made her gasp, hands snapping up to cover her mouth and nose as wide eyes lingered on the window before turning slowly back to the general Ida was intending to try to reason with.

"Ida, I hope you know what you're doing?" It was said softly, a rhetorical plea as Navi took advantage of a senshi throwing magic to slip over to the window to look down at the fallen knight, but she didn't think it was wise to rush out to her. Three high level soldiers against one moving mountain should have been overkill, but somehow it didn't feel like enough, even with the additional help of the other senshi and knights with them.

Genbu

"Jesus ********," the tall girl cursed as she watched the heavy blunt of the general's hammer smash into the side of the knight that'd challenged him head long, sending her straight through a ******** window. She was in way over her head, here.

As the ground began to shift beneath her feet Genbu immediately reconsidered her notion of safety in numbers. Only, it wasn't the ground that was shaking, it was her own magically assaulted equilibrium, and maybe if she'd realized that she'd have tried to do something about it. As it were she could only stumble as she reached the other senshi, a hand snapping out to catch his shoulder to keep from landing on her a**.

Not that staying on her feet was much better. She was having trouble focusing, on him, on the general they were trying to subdue.

Super Sailor Denebola

She felt like she was at an impasse.

Her thoughts were bouncing around at a thousand miles a second, blue and green eyes flicking across the faces of the people that had gathered. With her heart a lump in her throat, the super senshi watched-- reaching for the blonde girl(Duhr) beside her like it would steady her -- as the knight that had automatically engaged the general was sent sailing away.

Ida implored them to wait, begged for a chance to talk to--- Titan, that's what Ida had called him.

Her fingers dug into Duhr's shoulders and she swallowed, stepping forward while looking over at the others. The man was dead, there was no reviving him, starseed or not and she struggled to find her voice to say that.

This was a different dynamic than Denebola was used to. No one here looked to her for guidance, they looked elsewhere instead and she wished that it made her feel more relieved than it did. She was used to acting on impulse, to intervening and rescuing. It made sense, looking to the other woman who had just as much and arguably more practical experience than her but...

Asking to stand idle when lives were lost in the hopes that the man could be reasoned with. What was there to gain, now that he was so clearly dead?

Her feet shifted and she inhaled. Logic dictated that she at least give the transcendent eternal a chance, but her righteous, emotional furry at the carelessness in which Titan had slain the man for doing his job had her temper flaring just enough.

"Starseed's not going to matter, he's dead," she snapped, glancing at the twister-maker. "If you think they're useful..." She'd let her decide.

Denebola on the other hand, acted impulsively. Magic muttered under her breath she took off running.

Sailor Scout Attack: Flight of the Dragonflies!
Sailor Denebola gets a speed boost in the series of a short dashes that allow her to double the force of a physical attack. The duration of this attack is one minute, or until she comes in contact with her opponent.

Super Sailor Duhr

Ah, s**t.

The girl next to her used some fancy magic bullcrap of her own before taking off, no doubt to run to the aid of the other senshi and that giant of a man who stood taller than any cornstalk she'd ever seen. He was intimidating as hell and Duhr felt herself panic at the sight alone of him - not to mention the sheer aura that oozed off of him.

Holding out her hands, she quickly folded them into a finger-gun shape to begin casting her magic. There wasn't enough time to really work her twister into a proper form but she did her darndest before pushing her hands out while screaming, "Twisting Winds!" and sending the small twister off.

God help them all - maybe the damned thing would actually prove useful for once.

Quote:
Attack #1 - Twisting Wind - creates a small (4-5ft tall) twister which spins in the direction Duhr aims. It picks up and carries with it small debris and objects in its path within a 4-5 foot radius. Any person or creature hit by Twisting Wind is knocked backwards. Lasts up to 2 minutes. Once begun, Duhr has no control over its direction.

Scholomance did what she asked, to her infinite relief. He didn’t have to take orders from her, or work with her, but he chose to, and it meant a lot. Hyperborea was pulled back, the look she cast at them one of betrayal that made Ida’s heart squeeze.

Please don’t be mad… I’m trying to help. I don’t want anyone to be hurt… But the thought cut off as a wave of dizziness hit her and she stumbled, wobbling on unsure feet. It felt like the ground was heaving… and the distraction was enough to give Titan a chance to take a swing.

That hammer, big as a person, swung through the air and connected with the force of a truck. Before she could register what had happened, the cosmos knight had been picked up and flung, disappearing through an opening into the night beyond. Ida gaped after her, shocked and terrified of what state Hyperborea might be in after that. After she’d interfered. Because she wanted to give Titan a chance he had already demonstrated he wouldn’t take.

“T-Titan…” Ida gaped, turning a horrified look back at him. “Please, stop!”

It felt so useless… could she even do this? Would he listen this time? She couldn’t make her legs move while the ground still rolled under her, threatening to send her to her knees.

“Just give us the starseed and you can leave! Please… You don’t have to kill anyone today, I know you don’t want to! I’ve seen you do better… You can be better than this!”

He’s dead. Ida’s head jerked up, her chest squeezing, but Denebola was already moving and a wind was kicking up around them. Her hood tore back and hair caught in the wind, debris stinging where it found skin. Something tore past her, howling.

Some s**t went down all at once, some nasty s**t with Bone, Thugs, n Harmony. Maybe he hadn't been impressed with Rainglow Bright, but getting yeeted into next week? Harsh. It brought down some of the natural high he got seeing his magic hit successfully - not that it did much to the mountain of muscle, but hey, dude was like, over 9000!!! while Saak was still a baby.

Unexpectedly, Saak's magic seemed to be bad-touching some of his allies too. "Well s**t." Genbu reached for support and he gave it, reaching out to steady her since it seemed like she was gonna fall. And it was his fault. Oops.

"Sorry! My bad! s**t's still new to me!"

Two winds kicked up, tugging at Saak's clothes and curls. "Magical anime bullshit getting too real...what the ********-- is that a ******** mini tornado? For real, for real?" It looked like a child's toy against the general. Against the rest of them? It was damned dangerous. The metal discs in his costume rattled, jarring to his nerves even through his high. "Did that ginger girl not see what happened to the Glitterati?" A piece of crumpled up newspaper slapped into his face, half in his mouth, shutting the senshi of tambourines up effectively as he sputtered and tried to get the taste of construction grime from his mouth.

Scholomance Knight

Within it all, Scholomance hadn't time for a response. Gone was the knight in short order, hiis whip only just returned to coil, and he could not but think he caused that other knight's misfortune. Was she dead? No, not by feel of her aura. But would she soon be? Taking a hammer blow, she might.

Well, horrors of war and all that. At least there wasn't blood on him. Something something we accept our mortality when we go to battle.

Some kind of localized quake took a few by surprise, might've stalled the big one a touch. Overall, not enough to make Ida yield. Which, unfortunately —

Teeth ground at Ida's plea, however. He hoped, maybe, that she had an ace in her sleeve. Some sort of political maneuver that would put him in check, like knowing one of his friends, or maybe someone else she knew caught the lieutenant and dusted the bear, or they've been sleeping together on the sly, but what came out instead was more an emotional plea. A solicitation of a moral system that valued human quality and emotion when the general had recently ripped the starseed out of someone he'd probably never met. Scholomance cocked a brow. Perhaps he was different for the people he was actually acquainted with — more liable to reason and whatnot. Or at least hesitate long enough for someone to clock him upside the back of the head and put him out to pasture.

There were also others starting to forego Ida's solicitation. Someone of dragonfly blues and greens came next, and Scholomance was fine to continue standing by to watch. Maybe she'd get tossed through a window, too. She looked like she'd catch air just fine. Tornadoes abound as well.

Huh. How about that. He'd have quite the excuse to sit around on his laurels and watch the show firsthand. Better to not get in the way with so many elbowing to have a go and all that. Besides, paint flecks were chipping off the walls and supports groaned and shuddered with all this nature magic, so really, he was doing everyone a favor by not stepping in.

"Hope you've got a good bargaining chip after all that, Ida. The others cutting in for a fight isn't exactly encouragement to do better. Leverage, though…" No matter what they say, blackmail was always in season.

No words between, but it is a good play- The General couldn’t concentrate well with the world gone shuddering. Even hazarding a step felt a fight between balance and muscles refusing to fall. All he could do was let the head of his weapon be a weight to the ground and the haft a lifeline to hold onto; Titan grimaced as a drag mark push-pulled both he and the hammer out of place. The tornado roared along with easy dust and rocks, a toolbox to jangle across the skull epaulet and break off a horn.

On storm’s heels a senshi darted faster than her aura spoke. Not his weapon, youma, or teleport could meet the line of her fist. Rank blessed him just fast enough for a catch, and he held her hand only long enough to exhale a breath. He’d been holding it? “A good combo. Bend or break!”

He closed his fist around hers tight.

Duhr's twisters zipped past her and for one, hopeful, moment Denebola thought that they would have been distracting enough for the force of her punch to be successful in some manner. Her magic made her quicker, it made her 'stronger' because of the momentum and yet, it wasn't enough.

A hand much larger than her own closed around her fist and she found herself halted, her shoulder aching from the sudden and forceful stop and a punch that didn't connect or follow through.

She should have known better.

Bend or break!

Those words echoed in her ears when his fist closed around hers and she could feel the chill settle in her spine. "N-" She tried to protest but it was lodged in her throat instead, jaw dropping as she felt the pressure bearing down on her hand.

Bend...

Or...

Break.

Denebola's knees buckled as her hand broke beneath the force and strain of his grip. Despite her efforts, she screamed.

It was happening far too quickly for her poor mind to keep up with.

Duhr was happy alone by the fact the twister was making some headway and seemed to be doing something other than ping-ponging itself against walls and causing nothing but trouble. The others seemed wary because of the dust and debris kicking up from the winds but Duhr's focus was on the redhead zigzagging around like she was tryin' to escape a gator or something.

The scream was ear piercing and Duhr could feel the adrenaline rushing through her. The massive excuse of a man was hurting the other senshi girl and the others didn't seem to be in any sort of position to combat against the mammoth man. Hell - she was six foot herself and not in any position to fight the Goliath.

It came upon her like instinct, a small voice whispering in the back of her head. Hands went up again but this time, she called forth a different name, a different power from within that she wasn't aware lurked.

"Funnel Fury!"

The wind began kicking up but this time, it didn't begin a few feet in front of her. No, the attack began around the feet of the giant bully, giving Duhr advantage of the distraction to race forward, losing her heels in the process, as she made her way towards Denebola.

As the wind stirred and grew wilder, the blonde senshi snatched the poor girl away and hauled her up, using what remaining adrenaline she had left for the moment to carry the girl bridal style, clomping her way off to the sidelines in hopes of finding some place to drop her off to safety at.

Quote:
Attack #2 - Funnel Fury - creates a cyclone which contains and holds the target for up to 2 minutes within its wind funnel, as well as any nearby debris within a 4-5 foot radius.

There was no plan. No bargaining chip. Nothing clever that would make all of this work out so everyone walked away unharmed. Already, people were hurt, and all of her pleas were ignored. Pleading was not going to work, but she knew that confronting Titan directly would only be seen as an aggressive justification for him defending himself.

"I don't... have anything." She said, her hands closing into fists in frustration. Ida gave Scholomance a pleading look, dark eyes large. "He's a good man, under all that. This isn't him. I've... I've seen who he can be. He could be one of the best of us, but its never going to happen if we can't reach him. If we only meet him with aggression..."

But it was too late for that, wasn't it? He wasn't listening and at the sudden scream, Ida jerked around in mounting horror. The red-headed senshi was on the ground, clutching her hand. The blonde, with curls, was rushing to her, wind tossing debri as it swept up around Titan. He wasn't going to listen, and he wasn't going to stop.

But... maybe, if they beat him? Like before, when they had first fought. He'd acknowledged her victory, when she'd beaten him enough, and had released the knight he'd taken prisoner. Would that work again? There were enough of them, even with him a general. If he didn't just teleport away... Maybe it would work. It was not a route she liked to take.

"We... might have to force him. Maybe he'll give in if we do." She said. Still she hesitated, unsure and disliking the options.

Was this...teamwork? If so, it wasn't necessarily great, considering. His attack - and the mini twisters - had allowed Red to get close enough to get her fist caught by Hammertime, and then there was a cronch and screaming and Saak really wasn't okay with any of that being even partially his fault.

A very bad trip. That's what this is. s**t. I'm too stoned. Not stoned enough? ********> Adrenaline surged, fear half-locked him in place, but he had to do something, right? Or Red was gonna die right before his eyes. Saak got one hand moving, outstretched, the center of gravity on his body shifting for forward movement, when the wind kicked up again. In front of his eyes.

General Meat Mountain got hisself held by magic while a tall-a** blonde carted off Red. Aight. He could hear Buttwings talking at...someone. The words were indistinct, but didn't matter. Why wasn't Buttwings all up in the general's business while he was being held still? "Yo, Buttwing girl! Magic Punch him or someshit!" Wasn't that the point? He'd straight up murdered the security guard, challenged them to brawl, crushed the s**t out of Red's hand...and the powerhouses were still just...hanging the ******** back? 'I'm a basic b***h and I'm up front, what the ********> The fact that Scholomance and Ida were likely leaving space because Titan had a ******** massive hammer and insane reach completely lost on Saak. Things like tactics, purification, or anything but keeping his own a** safe were likewise lost on such a green and untried senshi.

"This ain't a teaparty, woman!"

Scholomance Knight

Bone snaps were never part of the sounds he expected to hear in the day, nor did they rank very highly on his list of enjoyable noises. No, he found them quite curdling indeed, and reminiscent of more than a few bad behaviors he found among Negaverse rank. Blessed were the few who did not number among them.

"Would twist his arm if I could." Scholomance remained at distance, watching with a tenseness that traced lines about his eyes and mouth. The beginnings of smoker's habits staked their territory as parentheticals around his speech. "Looks like we've already got a few casualties on our hands. Any backup you can bring?" More bodies generally meant less attention thrown his way regardless.

He'll likely break another hand or foot or face while we're gawking. Basic senshi's about to learn why one doesn't rush into the fray, brave fellow as he is.

Scholomance kept his silence, however. Wariness seized him like an old, memorable toy while each second passed, each second closer to one more person down and out, one less meat shield to keep Scholomance out of focus. Next would be Ida for hailing him. Perhaps the squire. Order's outpouring wore thin quite quickly, and Scholomance entertained no idyllic bravery for fighting the Negaverse's finest. Fool was he to have done that ages ago.

Whip coiled, held knot-tight, white boned the hand over each coil. "Just fight him. I'll watch you."
