The further south through the districts the group traveled, the 'busier' it got. Although the population was fairly small in the town, a variety of species and humans alike visited often--for trading purposes mostly; nearly none just passed through, due to the hub's position right next to the yokai-infested Tsukihara. Quite a few humans and sprites that were just passing through were using their time in town to rest and recuperate after escaping from the city, on their way to freedom whenever they were ready to leave. The Market District was the center of activity, where a good number of the jobs taken up by citizens attracted the most attention. Being home to the Crafting District as well, artisans and merchants alike scattered streets and shops, including a large pavilion that had been fashioned into several forges that a majority of the crafters worked out of.
Umehiyo's brown gaze traversed the street below as she descended the stairs that lead off the walkway. She paused about halfway down, squinting slightly as if trying to see something in the distance. And then her eyes went wide, and she pointed to an alleyway between two stalls. "Ah, there!"
A familiar dark cloak was squatting in the shadows there, watching the mild crowd in front of her, her arms wrapped around her hidden in the fabric. She seemed to be watching for... something. Though she didn't seem interested in looking for the people who were chasing her earlier. Perhaps she thought she'd gotten away?

"Ah..." I started in response to Hono's sudden 'outburst' of wanting to take the payment on himself. I really hadn't intended for him to do anything about the coat--aside from wear it, of course--and would have paid the young seamstress back for it later. I hummed in some weird combination of frustration and contentment, scratching the back of my neck. "If you want. I'm assuming nothing I say will change your mind." Taking a step back, I gave the girl a grateful nod. "Thanks, Linza. I appreciate it." I turned away and waited by the door to make sure Hono would follow before heading back out into the cold.
Just like always, moving from the warmth of the shop to the bitter cold outside stung, starting as the air hit my nose and making my eyes water a bit. No matter how long I lived in this place, it never seemed to get any easier; it didn't help that it was a particularly cold day. Regardless, I needed to figure out where Fiorzia disappeared to before she threw a fit about me abandoning her. Rubbing my hands together to warm them, I made sure Hono was still behind me and followed the direction I'd last seen the sylph disappear in.
Blue skin and white hair stuck out fairly well against the darker tones of the winter wear of the people around her. Fiorzia had found her way to a food stand and was ogling over some kebabs being sold there. Being in a world where food was no longer mass produced, it was probably a mix of venison, maybe rabbit, and chicken or beef. We'd been fortunate enough to come by some traders over the last few months who had been willing to barter with us for some livestock. It had taken a hefty amount of supplies, but in return we had a better food source, including milk and eggs. Likewise, we'd gotten some potato and beet seeds, both of which were hardy enough to grow with careful attention in the freezing temperatures. Somehow, but I attributed it to all the ways the world had changed over centuries untouched. Personally, I wished for more kinds of food, but beggars couldn't be choosers in a world we were no longer in control of. Thanks to that, though, both vegetables were added to the meat kebabs.
But again came the issue of not having any money with me, nor did I really have anything worthwhile to trade. "Hey, Fiorzia?" I asked without looking at her. The food really did look appetizing, and I couldn't honestly remember when I ate last. "You didn't happen to snag the bag of coins off my desk did you?"

After a relatively short traveling distance, the small group would find themselves reaching the apex of the stairs that lead down into the market district from the residential. At some point in their travel Zuhra had swapped back to his lax nature, walking with a casual stride in his steps with his hands behind his head, fingers interlaced with his elbows flared out. He might have appeared to be acting nonchalant but he was still bothered by his previous error, and was attentively watching their surroundings for the wrong things it seemed as the biggest threat was Lupus, Zuhra having walked right into the back of the behemoth of a man as they had stopped for Umehiyo to squint into the distance.
Peering around from behind the giant he would follow the woman's gaze and finger to a dark alleyway tucked in between two stalls, and in this alleyway was the bane of his failure. Speaking softly to the crow now perched atop his head instead of shoulder, he would inform his clone to bring a few of the other crows that were searching the Residential District still over to here and grab a few vantage points without causing a disturbance. This would probably take some time, even if they were flying, and he didn't have the luxury of waiting around for the little thief could simply vanish again and he couldn't stop her. ❝Try to conceal yourself behind Lupus as you get closer, I'm going to try and flank her.❞
With that Zuhra would attempt to scale himself up the nearest building and work himself around the district via rooftops to get near the girl unseen, using chakra to coat the soles of his feet to remove the sound of him moving, aside from environmental like if he broke a twig or stepped in a puddle hard. Getting closer to the alley the little thief was spotting in, he retrieved the bismuth dagger from it's sheathe at his lower back and and quietly jumped down into the alley behind her, assuming she was still there, before slowing his breathing and focusing on removing his presence from the world.
Slowly the young vampire would make his way over to her -- again assuming she was still there -- and raise the weapon slowly before turning a lethal immobilizing thrust into a non-lethal one with a half-rank increased to speed, and a full rank increased damage from a flanking strike, and hopefully making contact with her and effectively rendering her snared and unable to move for the duration of a post, in which he could capture her, and restrain her in a way that wouldn't allow her to use jutsu that required hand seals.

She didn't smell the scents she took to other places but merely carried them hither and thither. And now? Now she was staring at what others called "meat" wondering just how much of the kabob she could fit into her mouth at once, and whether or not she was supposed to eat the stick, too. tab What did sticks taste like, anyway? tab Taking a deep breath she was about to buy everything they had at the stall with a pouch of coins she'd "found" on Kaileer's desk when the "probable" owner of that sack of coins asked if she had happen to take them. Turning and stowing the back behind her with one hand she took on a haughty stance and with a finger upraised, ready and able to tell him how horrible he was for assuming such things, she responded firmly and certainly "maybe!" Now, whether or not that was what she meant to say didn't matter as she produced the pouch with all the pomp and circumstance of handing him a sandwich. "Can I have twenty of these? Also, how many is twenty?"
Walking behind the small girl as she lead them through the small town to the market district, Lupus methodically glanced around them taking in the things around him in case anything happened, especially since they were going where the thief was seen sometimes, she would naturally have a home-town advantage over him who'd been there all of a few hours. After walking for a small distance they suddenly stopped, the girl apparently spotting the thief off into the alleyway on the side. Feeling Zuhra smack into his back roughly Lupus blinked before glancing behind him to see if the man was okay, though instead he saw the man speaking to one of his crows before telling them to make their way over slowly while he flanked around. With a nod of his head Lupus began walking, slipping agilely around Umehiyo before proceeding to walk forward gracefully, as if everything around him was beneath him as he merely looked forward as he walked, not even glancing out of the corner of his eye at the stalls around him. Assuming Zuhra made his way around successfully, Lupus would sneak a glance over, managing to see him drop down just barely and begin his sneak attack.
Assuming that was working and that Lupus' own appearance in the market didn't spook the girl, he would instantaneously twist his body before gripping the best he could through his shoes on the ground to give an swift step-in towards the girl. While he was a giant of a man he was surprisingly fast, able to close the distance relatively swiftly so long as she didn't have any traps or people to stop him. The instant he would near her his two huge golden-armored hands would seemingly engulf the area as he clasped his hand towards her left arm and right leg, trying to work alongside Zuhra to limit her escape route, though he would admit he felt like this was a little much for a simple thief. However it was all non-lethal moves, so the worst that would happen currently is a bruise or bump on the head from Zuhra it looked like (hehe) though he made sure to keep vigilance since she had always kept her arms tucked down, meaning she could hide any form of weapon or trap on her.

Whether or not this is true is difficult to say at best, given none were meant to have survived, but the pale white leather that covers the faces of the weapon definitely do look and feel like stretched human flesh. With the steel handle twisted and cast in such a way that it looks like human faces are screaming out from the shaft and the bladded edge of the Gunbai seeming to reflect light in odd, twisted ways it is clear that whatever its origins it was clearly designed for fear. Yet the truly horrific parts come when Usugi is awoken, caused by fifty [50] Chakra or Stamina points being spent as a sacrifice to the thing that guards within. tab → The Howling Shards ► Water and wind, fire, earth and lightning powers controlled by the wielder find their techniques altered thematically when used alongside this weapon. Wind howls with the screams of the dead and damned, with fire morphing into the expressions of those who died in fire. Water is blacker than sin and carries with it the reek of fetid blood while electricity snarles into demonic forms. The earth, tormented by its power, is black and rotted with decay, carrying with it the sweet stench of death. In effect techniques being used inspire a negative effect, a chilling, dark energy that borders the unholy power of corruption. C - ranked Shadow damage is constantly applied alongside the damage of the attacks, something that bypasses Defense and does half again [50% More] more Durability damage than before. This effect lasts for three [3] posts, with an upkeep of 30 Chakra or Stamina per post after. tab → The Crawling Chaos ► Use of this weapon comes at a cost as the mind begins to rot with each post sustaining the evil power of Usagi. For every three [3] posts being used apply one [1] point of Spiritual corruption upon the body. At every ten [10] points of Corruption the body gains an Echo Intrusion affliction. These Intrusions alter the physical body and emotional state of the figure in some way, while providing a bonus in its place. These may be submitted as "custom techniques", though in all cases there is a negative as equal in strength as the positive, and will include physical alterations.

tab Silence was the best answer the pair could have utilized amongst the myriad of other options that existed. As Lupus began his bum rush for the girl and Zuhra lunged for her their movements would have been nearly impossible to react to fast enough for a normal person. tab A normal person, which became obvious as a small cluster of eyes opened up on the side of her face, half seeing one and the other finding purchase on its other pray, that she clearly wasn't. tab The eyes found Zuhra's face a moment before the girl's other, more human green eyes snapped to the left and right, catching sight of the two who lumbered towards her. Instantly there came a loud series of popping and cracking noises that sounded wet with beat, bone and moisture as the body under the cloak began to change shape. The little exposed flesh appeared to convulse before bulging with muscle, then fur, as she howled and growled in sounds clearly inhuman in origin. If the pair got closer she would lash out with hands that were large, enough paws as she stood higher, taller, matching the height of the giant Lupus before her spine cracked with a mighty report as the transformation finished. Where the girl had crouched before now stood a tall lupine monstrosity with long arms ending in barbed claws and a face ending with a snout of razor sharp teeth. Back she threw her head, releasing a howl filled with rage and pain as she turned back and forth between the two, exposing that the left side of its face was covered in tiny, deep holes that glistened and shifted as tiny eyes moved back and forth within the holes. On her hands, too, the right and partially the left were the same patterns, each eye squinting at any observers from within the cavernous ruins of her flesh. tab Would the pair continue their assault as these holes in her flesh leaked a rancid-smelling black fluid onto the earth where it smoked and burned? How would they handle the sudden change?
Normal person or not, for her to have found Zuhra with such ease was rather.. difficult, for him to believe. He would click his tongue as he jumped backwards, retreating a few feet from the girl as she transformed. He would sheath the dagger, for it was going to be of little use now, and reached into his enchanted bag with his free hand, grasping something long and hard, and unveiled it in an unintentional grandiose manner as he gave the four-fanged scythe a twirl before the leather wrapped itself around his hand and locked itself in place. Whispering to the crow on his shoulder he would tell his clone to direct the incoming flock of crows to swarm the.. whatever it was they were fighting to distract it.
❝Umehiyo! You should run and hide!❞The pureblood's face warped into a visage of anger as he took a low posture towards the ground before vanishing, closing the distance nigh instantaneously and reappearing at the left flank of the werewolf-esque creature with a broad slashing motion with B-Ranked strength, with a half-step closer to A in speed strike aimed for the back of the legs of this creature to immobilize it.

Lupus' burning amber eyes narrowed deeply in annoyance the moment the target began to morph into a large werewolf, he retreated back slightly; his foot sinking into the ground beneath it as he took a single powerful step back. His palm strikes retreated back near his body, his right hand reaching behind him to retrieve his usual terrifying Gunbai, bringing it out fully with his single hand before channeling his chakra for a moment. With but a single thought the weapon awoke, the world around him seemingly turning dark and dreary, though in reality it was just the darkness within his Gunbai awakening to his call. With a single handseal using his left hand the ground covering most of infront of him and into the alleyway, though he kept it from reaching underfoot Zuhra, began to warp and melt away into a raging avalanche of dying earth and decaying mud. If the werebeing remained where it stood it would sink into the dark mud beneath it, slowing and locking its feet down whilst also slowly infecting it with shadow energy from his weapon. With that done he would channel chakra into his feet, stepping forward with a powerful wide step to swing the large Gunbai downwards onto the creatures shoulder with the simple E-ranked power combined with the Shadow's attached to his Gunbai, opposite of Zuhra though his weapon was quite large. Should it land he would continue to step forward, bringing up his free hand into a palm strike towards the throat that would turn into an iron-fisted grapple. ""

Whether or not this is true is difficult to say at best, given none were meant to have survived, but the pale white leather that covers the faces of the weapon definitely do look and feel like stretched human flesh. With the steel handle twisted and cast in such a way that it looks like human faces are screaming out from the shaft and the bladded edge of the Gunbai seeming to reflect light in odd, twisted ways it is clear that whatever its origins it was clearly designed for fear. Yet the truly horrific parts come when Usugi is awoken, caused by fifty [50] Chakra or Stamina points being spent as a sacrifice to the thing that guards within. tab → The Howling Shards ► Water and wind, fire, earth and lightning powers controlled by the wielder find their techniques altered thematically when used alongside this weapon. Wind howls with the screams of the dead and damned, with fire morphing into the expressions of those who died in fire. Water is blacker than sin and carries with it the reek of fetid blood while electricity snarles into demonic forms. The earth, tormented by its power, is black and rotted with decay, carrying with it the sweet stench of death. In effect techniques being used inspire a negative effect, a chilling, dark energy that borders the unholy power of corruption. C - ranked Shadow damage is constantly applied alongside the damage of the attacks, something that bypasses Defense and does half again [50% More] more Durability damage than before. This effect lasts for three [3] posts, with an upkeep of 30 Chakra or Stamina per post after. tab → The Crawling Chaos ► Use of this weapon comes at a cost as the mind begins to rot with each post sustaining the evil power of Usagi. For every three [3] posts being used apply one [1] point of Spiritual corruption upon the body. At every ten [10] points of Corruption the body gains an Echo Intrusion affliction. These Intrusions alter the physical body and emotional state of the figure in some way, while providing a bonus in its place. These may be submitted as "custom techniques", though in all cases there is a negative as equal in strength as the positive, and will include physical alterations.
tab The wolf creature's infected face twisted and convulsed, jittering as the eyes rearranged themselves subdermally as Zuhra came in for his low swing. The reaction, individual of the creature's own, did communicate itself in some way to the monstrosity which allowed some assistance with reaction. While the creature's left hand came down to catch the blade of the sword in an iron grip, halting its progress but spilling its own acidic blood in the process, the force of the strike would still cause it to stumble and lose its footing, causing it to drop to one knee while the other went forward to catch itself in a stuttering, painful movement. This caused its leg to sink further into the mud than it would have liked, but it would take it for the moment. The expression on the beast's face turned into pain and...helplessness?... as its left arm convulsed and flung out the acidic blood at Zuhra as recompense (C - ranked speed, B - ranked damage). As the Gunbai came down onto its skull, causing blood to cake its surface from impact strength alone it lunged forward to catch Lupus, though if successful it would follow this up with the velocity of its lunch to attempt to sink its rotting, jagged teeth into the large man's shoulder. tab The creature was in pain, that much was clear, but the way the body jerked and moved perhaps it wouldn't be outside the realm of reason to believe that she was no longer in charge of her body anymore. tab tab

The crow from Zuhra's shoulder took flight to rejoin it's brethren as the rest of the crow clone arrived from the Residential District. The Pureblood's wide swing struck true, to some degree, as the corrupted werewolf creature struck out and caught his weapon barehanded. This annoyed Zuhra, this creature in the girl had such audacity. With the heft of his blow momentarily pinning the creature down, it gave way for Lupus to land his own strike that seemingly phased the monstrosity little despite the force.
With a slight shift in the positioning of his feet, Zuhra would vanish again as he jumped up, appearing roughly four feet off the ground as he struck out with his feet which planted themselves firmly against the shaft of his scythe which would allow him to use his weight plus the momentum of the force to hopefully wretch his weapon free from the grasp of the beast seeing as he doubted he had the strength to do so normally.
Coincidentally, that would hopefully allow him to avoid the acid spray that was aimed at him prior, if not minimize the damage done to where it did land. The crows up above came together and congealed back into shape as a second Zuhra formed and fell down from the rooftops aimed directly for the wolf in attempts to deliver a heavenly heel drop. The jagged movements of the creature bothered the Ancestor, it was almost as if it was being manipulated like a puppet which struck close to his core values.
❝Poor thing, let me sever your strings and free you from your incompetent puppeteer..❞Giving a quick snap of his body, Zuhra would spin himself sideways and slice out with his transformed scythe, raking the earth and attempting to slice the wolf in half from below. Regardless of the outcome, the wolf was already going to be bleeding pretty badly due to the ill nature of the nightmare weapon.

Seeing Zuhra's weapon get stuck within the wolfs hand while his own hit managed to land painfully atop its skull though it did little to stop the thing from lunging his way in an attempt to chomp painfully on his shoulder. Anger would flash through his eyes for a brief moment before he would explosively step back, launching his body away from the creature a solid five feet assuming it didn't somehow speed up. Steadying his body for a moment he watched Zuhra attempt to dodge around the acid spit whilst also repositioning to deal another strong hit onto the creatures head, which if that landed he'd see him follow up with a swift slice with his scythe, cleaving through the dirt and mud beneath them as he swung towards the creature. With that in mind Lupus stepped forward, once more entering melee range assuming the wolf didn't somehow grab him. With that done his left hand would blur forward, his gigantic palm engulfing the area in front of the wolf as he sent a swift palm-strike directly into the joint of the creatures shoulder, which if it would land would allow him to use the force and pivot on his heel to near-instantaneously deliver a powerful swing of his Gunbai using his right hand. The force behind the swing was seemingly strong, reaching the heights of his strength as of now. Despite the weight and power behind it he knew it would do little to stop the wolf, mostly just hoping the anguishing shadows could help bide time to wear it down.

Honō bows low, respecting and honoured to be trusted with such a cost to repay on their own hard work and merit. Carefully putting on the new coat, Honō made sure in tying to have the length and wrap-around was covering as much of this skinny body as possible. The weight on the Hari clan member's shoulders was a comfort to both mind and body. Already Honō could feel the temperature rising in both the inner core and outer extremeties.
Following in silence, Honō observed the interaction between Kaileer and Fiorzia with a calm, neutral smile, though moss green eyes shone with relief and the call-back to pleasant memories. But it was only Kaileer and Honō at this moment. Not that they were always together in the past - the very... very distant past...
"I do not know much about sprites." Honō spoke softly, blinking away the once warm, pleasant memories to focus on not causing any embarassment. For Kaileer and the surrounding public more than their own preservation of appearance. "Only they are to be found more preferable to demons. On most occaisons, it sounded. I am glad to see you in company." Honō turns to look at Kaileer rather than the joyous, energetic actions of the spirit. "Are there many here?" Honō asks. "In this city or world?"
tab Several actions at once made it difficult for the victim to respond accordingly, at least with her own intentions. The things within her were hundred strong, able to react as they all worked independently and together at the same time. As such as the crow clone came from above the eyes on the left side of the werewolf's face partially turned, half staring up at the oncoming clone and communicating to the right side of the body to lunge the same direction, which it did. The girl within the wolf screamed, unleashing a howl that would cover the marketplace instantly with its noise as it lunged not fast enough and was caught partially by the scythe, hitting enough to draw blade and create a rent in the left side. Black blood erupted, coating the blade further which began to hiss and sputter as the weapon's surface began to melt and pit (7 Durability Damage to the weapon). tab At the same time as this took place Lupus threw himself into the fray. Thanks to the wolf sidestepping he was able to dodge the blade of the scythe which would have struck him first. That said the rapid movements of the wolf would throw his palm strike into the wrong shoulder, striking it's left side and causing the wolf to rotate and spin. The Gunbai would swing, yes, but with the spin the wolf had been thrown far closer to Lupus than the warrior would have likely wanted to happen. As such the weapon did not strike on the proper surface, with more of the shaft landing instead and causing the pole to him in his hand. The force would not be ignored, however, as the strike alone would propel the wolf to the side to land in a heap partially out of the alley they were fighting in. tab The sight of the horribly disfigured monstrosity, let alone its existence as a werewolf being readily apparent to viewers, caused an immediately violet and terrified response from the crowd. Screams went up as many turned and ran, dropping whatever they were doing but likewise clearing a space for the combatants to continue their grisly crusade to slay the innocent girl beneath. Even now the wolf struggled to rise, black blood pooling on its first and beneath it causing snow and stone alone to blister and burn and melt from the highly acidic properties of the corrupted liquid. tab

Fiorzia immediately took on a defensive air and looked rightly offended I would accuse her of stealing my ryo. Except I wasn't even accusing her. She had a tendency of snagging things that I forgot, so I figured I'd ask. Besides which her change in demeanor told me she'd done exactly that. She announced that 'maybe' she'd taken them before holding out the bag to me with a disdainful sniff. I smirked.
That was gone an instant later as she asked for twenty of the kebabs we were looking at. "No," I replied with a frown. "Twenty is a lot when it comes to food. You get the same rations as everyone else. I doubt you could eat that many anyway." Dishing out some coins, I handed over enough for six; two for each of us. It wasn't particularly filling but I didn't want to take too many of them. In all honesty we had plenty of food for the time being but it didn't hurt to be frugal. Besides, there were plenty of other options and if I fed her what she wanted I'd have no money left. These were already taking up a good portion of my allowance anyway.
Receiving the food from the vendor, I turned away, holding two of them out to Fiorzia and then two others toward Hono if he wanted them. To the sylph I added, "Don't eat the stick. I mean I guess you could if you really wanted but it probably wouldn't be too pleasant." With that advice out of the way, I took a solid sized bite out of one of the two remaining kebabs.
Hono spoke up then and my gaze shifted back to him curiously. He wanted to know more about the sprites. My own knowledge on them was still fairly limited but a combination of living around them, observing Fiorzia, and information my compendium provided, I'd gleaned a bit at least. "I'm not certain about the world, although I'm sure they're all over the place, but the presence of both sprites and fades is particularly strong here in Iron, especially near Tsukihara." I gestured my head in the direction that lead up the massive mountain on which we made our home. "More commonly we've seen fades known as Yokai--the monsters you may have experienced on the way here--that currently rule the city. They..." I hesitated, glancing at Fiorzia, whose attention was hopefully elsewhere. "The yokai, like all fades feed off of strong emotions, so the majority of sprites that live in this region have been enslaved by them." Thinking about it made my blood boil. I wanted to rush in an free them all, but I had neither the strength or the numbers to attempt such a feat. Besides which, we hadn't gotten to scout much into the city between trying to set up the town and securing the areas around it. "Eventually I want to free all of them."
Shaking my head, I pushed the subject and my anger aside. "Anyway, sprites and fades are neither inherently good or evil, but sprites are formed by powerful positive emotions, and fades by negative. Fiorzia here is a sprite of freedom."
A howl resounded across the market, stopping me, and everyone around me, in their tracks. I'd heard plenty of wolves in the mountains surrounding the town on moonlit nights, but never something so close and so... twisted. Unnatural. It was some strange combination of wolf and a human scream, an airy nature to it that made it almost dual toned in sound. A moment later a young woman almost barreled into me, tears streaming from her eyes in terror. Brown hair and eyes, I recognized her as the head of agriculture, Umehiyo. Whether she'd intended on finding me or not, a look of relief rose through her fear when she realized who I was. "Kaileer-sama!" she exclaimed above the murmuring and general sounds of fear that were rising around us. "There's a... monster! I-I thought she was just a thief but then she turned into a wolf-thing, a-and... two of our own are trying to stop her!"
I placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her. "Stay calm, and help people get to safety." I glanced over my shoulder at both Hono and Fiorzia. "That includes the two of you. Get away from here." I didn't wait for a response from them before hurrying off in the direction she and the howl had come from, my food discarded on the ground as I ran.
Finding them wasn't a difficult feat; people were already screaming and bolting away from the attack site. Shoving my way past the last line of civilians, the monster came fully into my view. The two with her I recognized but couldn't quite put names to at the moment. I didn't matter anyway because if I didn't react they were going to kill her.
A small part of me felt conflicted. This thing was potentially attacking the people of this town but if I understood correctly this had started with a thief and escalated from there. I had a small amount of knowledge that some villagers had the ability to shift shape into 'were-creatures', and it was possible that the girl didn't know how to control it. Drawing my blade, the wind blade I'd received from the sylphs I'd chosen to simply call 'Zephyr', I gathered Raiton chakra into my limbs. I formed a quick handseal and, once my path was clear, my form shifted into lightning and I shot forward. I passed through the downed werewolf--who had been slowly trying to stand back up--causing her to fall limp, and reformed between her and the pair attacking her, holding my blade vertically in front of me in case I wasn't fast enough before they struck again.
Thanks to the short time I'd used the technique, the aftereffects weren't terrible, but a small amount of nausea did strike me. I grimaced but otherwise held my ground. "That's enough," I hissed through clenched teeth.

Techniques Used: • Raikou Henge no Jutsu [Lightning Transformation Technique] Rank: D | Strength: E | Speed: B When performing this skill, the user transforms into an extremely quick 'strand' of lightning. In this quick state, nothing is done slowly - everything is in a rush for the user. However, this strand of lightning is incapable of changing directions on its own. It can only change directions by bouncing off another object, such as a tree or a boulder, but the user is capable of bouncing off in any angle they wish to. The transformation automatically dissipates when the user makes contact with a living target: being in a state similar to lightning, the user plunges completely into their target, and ends up in their physical state on the other side of their opponent. In addition to giving the target a painful electrical shock, this skill may cause temporary paralysis [lasting one post]. Because of the fast speeds associated with this skill, the user will feel dizzy, confused, and often nauseous for some time afterward. This technique can be used in conjunction with other Jutsu, such as the Call of Lightning Technique, or the Lightning Clone Technique, to confuse the opponent. However, no skills can be used in this state. The user can dispel the technique at any time.
The Ancestor's combination attack was ultimately partial success and partial failure. The corrupted being had managed to dodge the clone but still got caught in the side by the scythe which would reset it's bleeding status. Despite the landed blow, the attack wasn't a total victory for Zuhra as the acidic blood sprayed against the surface of the blade and began to stain and mar it's twisted beauty. Lupus' attack also landed to a degree and sent the werewolf tumbling partially out into the streets, exposing it fully to the rest of the world and sending those near into a panicked frenzy.
While annoying as it may have been for their work to be sloppy and let it happen, it was still a blessing that the crowd reacted appropriately and began to flee so that they could continue to try and handle this situation in full without having to worry about collateral damage. While the corrupted creature struggled to right itself after being raked through and through with the shockwave of force from the giant's blows, Zuhra would shoot a observatory glance over to his companion,❝Note to self, don't get on his bad side kahaha..❞
Turning back to the struggling monstrosity the Ancestor give a quick snap of his arm, swinging the weapon through the air in attempts to throw the liquid from it onto the ground and clean it, and would hop over the diseased earth due in part to her blood and Lupus' equally terrifying weapon and start to exit the alleyway, wiping a bead of sweat that trailed down his cheek with his free hand.
It would seem that their little impromptu show had caught the attention of the village's overseer and had drawn him to the see as he stood across from them before warping his existence into lightning, blitz through the already downed and trembling creature, incapacitating her and appearing between the group of two as a defender of sorts. The pureblood's beady luminescent red eyes would slowly turn back to normal as he stepped out from the shadow and back into the light of day, his free hand raising and running it's fingers through his hair before falling to his side while outstretched in a gesture of "come on now".
